In space, on an uncharted planet barely filled with any signs of life forms laid a huge temple. It's structure was nicely built with precious stones, as it's foundation was built by a rare metal more solid than the hardest metal found on earth. Merely looking at the building, one would think no architect would be able to build this temple, as the designs and structures were too complex to comprehend.
The temple was really tall standing at a towering feet of 70 meters high, with a non lacking width of 40 meters. It had a huge gate before the entrance to the temple, as that was the only way leading in and out of it.
"What do you think Kodak?" A beam of light suddenly shone at the entrance of the huge gates, as two figures emerged from the light.
"I-it's a dream come true." The one named Kodak said with teary eyes, staring at the magnificent temple.
"Ha-ha! Take it easy Kodak there's still much more you haven't seen." Kira the god of fire chuckled, nudging Kodak's arm. He then looked at the center of the gate, as there was a strange rune on it.
"Open." He said in a deep voice, as the rune glowed a dim white light before slowly shifting to the side, as the gates opened wide with the duo passing through.
The insides of the temple were much more beautifully built and decorated, than the outside as various precious stones like jasper, sapphire, emerald, etc, could be seen running along the walls of the temple and it's floors. Giving it a clear, but sophisticated pattern.
"Huh! Looks like we came in too early." Kira said looking round the temple, as there wasn't anyone present. Kira could see Kodak's legs were shaking as he struggled to stand, taking in this breathtaking view. The god of fire couldn't help but let out a smile, seeing Kodak overwhelmed with countless emotions.
He couldn't blame him, as this was just his first time in the temple. Kodak was what they called 'a messanger of the gods', particularly for the god of fire kira. He had been so devoted to kira, helping him relay all his messages and perform most of his works down on earth.
Kira saw how loyal and trustworthy Kodak was, that a bond slowly began to form between them. it didn't take long before the god of fire rewarded him, ordaining him one of his disciples. As if that wasn't enough, he made him part god by giving him a bit of his power, and promising to show him the temple if he'd completed the tasks given to him.
Kodak being a mere human couldn't enter the temple of the gods, as only gods or part gods could see and enter the temple. It had always been his dream to meet other gods and become a god someday, so he was very serious with his duty as a messanger.
"I-i can't believe am really here.. in the temple of the gods." Kodak said with sophisticated feelings. He'd fought tooth an nail to climb his way up to this point, and experiencing his dreams coming true now left him short for words.
"You deserve this." Kira smiled gently tapping Kodak's shoulder, as a single ball of tear slipped down his eye.
"What do you say we do some exploring before the others get here." Kira softly said as Kodak nodded with vigor. They then made their way through the various parts of the temple, gazing through remarkable sights.
"W-what's in there?" Kodak stopped, pointing at a door at the far left side of the temple.
"Huh? That's where nexus the god of systems keeps all her toys." Kira said nonchalantly strolling past it, with Kodak following behind.
"I wonder what kind of toys are in there." Kodak muttered, glancing a look behind at the door as his curiousity got the better of him.
He didn't know nexus or any of the other gods quite well, but he knew she was the god of systems. He found it strange how that was the latter's power as he deemed her weak, but kira told him how powerful she was.
Their striding feet's then stopped at another door with the symbol of various weapons on it's center, and besides it written on a golden frame were the words weapons hall. Kodak could feel excitement tingling over his body, as he wished he could enter the weapons rooms, and try out the different weapons.
"Well don't just stand there!" Kira smiled, as he held open the door to the weapons hall. Kodak shook his head, as a warm smile was plastered on his face.
Upon entering, Kodak's gaze was met with the various weapons placed on their stalls. He could feel a cold wave wash over his entire body, as he felt the sheer power they emitted.
"Ca-can I try out that one?" Kodak pointed to a sword, that was made frome a pure red crystal.
"Of course! Only if you can handle it." Kira gently spoke, as he watched Kodak in anticipation. Kodak knew the weapons here were only meant for gods, as they were powerful enough to destroy a planet. He wasn't scared about dying cause he had a bit of kira's power in him, and he was really feeling confident in himself this moment.
Reaching the sword he stretched his hands out to grab it, but the pressure being released from the sword opposed his hand.
"Shit!" He muttered feeling the amount of pressure colliding against his body, he wasn't going to back down now as he pressed forward, with fire in his eyes.
"It's just been three years now since I gave him a bit of my powers but he's managed to utilize it with his body." Kira chuckled slightly, looking at Kodak.
"He'll make a fine god." Kira warmly smiled.
"Argh!" With a loud grunt, Kodak firmly pulled the sword from it's shed as it glowed a bright red.
'Damn.' The full pressure of the sword fell upon him as he staggered down to a knee, gritting his teeth he slowly rose up with the sword in his hands.
'Ha! If it wasn't for kira giving me a bit of his powers and turning me into part god I'd probably be dead by now.' Kodak chuckled gently shaking his head. He then looked at the sword in his hand inspecting it.
He could see it was about 5-6 meters long, and written all over the sword was different unknown languages.
"Am guessing this must be yours." Kodak pointed, as every time his hands swayed the sword to kira's location it would pulse more, threatening to slip away from Kodak's grip.
"Guilty as charged." Kira held his hands up in defeat. A sword made by a god was capable of destroying an entire planet, not to mention the god dueling the weapon.
"Why don't we test it out." Kira smiled, as a sword made out of pure flames formed in his front. Kodak seeing this was amazed at how the sword burned vigourously, but what shocked him more was when he saw kira casually grab the hilt of the flame sword.
"I-i can't believe it.. a real elemental weapon!" Kodak said in shock, never in his life did he think he would see such a weapon.
Elemental weapons were weapons that could only be formed by a god, or their descendants. No one else could achieve this task, as it required a lot of mana and will power to keep the weapon active.
This type of weapon was considered a myth back on earth, as one could only develop it from the depths of the attributes of his core. Earning it names like elemental weapon, bond weapon, elemental soul weapon, e.t.c.
"Well we don't have all day now do we." Kira gripped the flame sword at it's hilt, pointing it straight at Kodak with a grin on his face. Kodak then gulped a bit tightly holding the red glowing sword to his front, taking a battle stance.
"I promise I'll go easy in you." Kira gently said, as the fight was about to begin. Kodak knew he couldn't defeat kira at least not yet, but he still wasn't going to chicken out and go down without a fight.
Kira then shot himself forward, causing the few weapons behind to rattle a little.
"Shit!" Kodak said narrowing his eyes, he could only barely keep up with kira's movement, as the latter was just too fast. If there was one thing he learnt from kira about fighting gods, was to never stay on the defensive. With that in his mind he also sprung forward, slashing his sword down at kira who blocked.
'Clang!' The sounds of weapons colliding against each other echoed throughout the room, even shaking the walls a bit. The force was too much for Kodak, that he was sent skidding back a bit.
"Nice.. your attacks have gotten stronger." Kira grinned. "But I'll take much more than that to beat me." He said stomping his foot, as his body arrived at Kodak's location. Kodak couldn't keep up with that move, as kira sent a fist straight to Kodak's chest.
Kodak seeing this knew it would be over for him, if that punch connected to him. So in a desperate attempt he raised the glowing red sword to his chest, intending to reduce the damage taken a bit.
'Bam!' Kira's fist connected with the sword, sending Kodak flying back a few meters upon impact.
"Argh!" Kodak groaned in pain, as he crashed into some weapons stall. He knew kira was holding back a bit, but he couldn't deny it still hurt as hell. He could feel a cracked bone in his chest, as little droplets of blood trickled down his lips.
"I thought you were going to give up." Kira softly said, holding his elemental soul weapon in his hand.
"Ha! If am going to give up just from a lousy punch then wouldn't that make me a weak god someday?" Kodak smiled wiping his lips, gripping the sword tightly in his hands. The sword glowed more brightly as the mana around Kodak began to rise, clutching it tightly he slashed it six times horizontally in an arc motion, sending out waves of flaming slashes heading straight for kira.
"You know am the god of fire right?" Kira nonchalantly said, throwing his elemental weapon forward like a spear with speed. The temperature in the room continued rising, as kira's weapon shot forward with precision. As soon as it got close to the first of Kodak's slashes one would've expected a collision, but what happened was far from that. Kodak's flame was absorbed by kira's elemental weapon, still heading forward.
"Shit." Kodak muttered rushing forward. He knew kira had the upper hand than him, as he was the god of fire and his mentor. But Kodak still kept his resolve, as long as there was air in his lungs there was a way.
"I-i can't slash his elemental weapon." Kodak thought running forward. Kira was defenseless right now as his sword was heading for Kodak, it gave Kodak a lot of time to go in for a blow but he didn't. The messanger knew kira was far out of his league, an if the latter wanted to he could retract his elemental weapon.
'I'll have to wait for an opening and use future step.' Kodak nodded. He could feel the heat coming from kira's weapon scorching his body, even when he was still five meters away.
"I hope this works." Kodak said dipping his left hand in his pocket, and out came a small object. The object was like the size of a pebble as it was really small, clutching it and releasing his grip the object grew a few feats high.
"Hey! That's cheating." Kira puffed like a little child, but Kodak wasn't paying attention to him. Gritting his teeth, he stomped his right foot to the ground hard holding the strange emerald shield in his left hand.
"Repel!" Kodak shouted as the sword connected to his shield, he could feel the flames burning his skin as he held the shield in front. The elemental sword didn't just go through the shield as expected to, though it did push Kodak back.
"Shit! it's too strong.." Kodak grunted as he was being pushed back, his mind was racing on what to do next as he was about to be roasted alive.
"Come on.. work~ full repel!" He shouted as the shield glowed more brightly, a burst of energy was released from the shield as the elemental sword was sent back.
'Phough~ phough! I-t worked.' Kodak smiled a bit, huffing in air seeing his shield's skill had worked. To be honest he didn't believe his shield's skill would work against the elemental weapon, but he was glad it did as it gave him some time to regroup.
'Ha ha! Nice try." Kira chuckled gently, applauding Kodak. "But you're still forgetting that's my weapon." Kira enthusiastically said running forward. The pure flames sword was heading for kira but he wasn't fazed. He simply stretched his hand out as the sword disappeared, reappearing back in his hand.
"N-no!" Kodak grunted getting to his feet. he had totally forgotten kira could make the pure flame sword disappear, and reappear whenever he wanted since it was his elemental weapon.
"I went easy on you before but not this time." Kira grinned, closing the gap between him and Kodak in an instance. He slashed his sword at Kodak with power, as the latter blocked with the shield. The sheer power used by kira wasn't even a quarter of his full power, but it had managed to push Kodak flying back.
'Damn!' Kodak grunted flying back. Kira didn't stop there, crouching down a bit his body shot like a bullet straight to Kodak. The latter couldn't do anything but block, as kira spun his body vertically sending a kick to Kodak's chest.
'Bam!'
Kira's leg hit the emerald shield in Kodak's front, denting it a bit sending Kodak crashing down. The god of fire didn't give Kodak a minute to rest, sending out series of strikes to him. The speed which kira moved was extremely fast, that Kodak merely blocked with his emerald shield.
'I can't continue like this.' Kodak inwardly thought, as his back hit one of the pillars hard. he could see several cracks on his shield from kira's attack, and he knew in his heart it wouldn't take that long before it gave out.
"You can't hide behind that shield forever!" Kira shouted, swinging his elemental sword at Kodak. The latter braced for impact, as the sword cracked the shield more deeper flinging him far back.
"W-who said I was hiding!" Kodak shouted back, running to kira with blood shot eyes.
"Hm.." kira slightly chuckled seeing Kodak relentless efforts. "I like your will kid but you can't beat me." Kira smiled, his elemental weapon burned brightly as he chanted a single skill.
"Crucifix flames." His hands moved nonstop, as he slashed his sword in all directions sending out several flames, shaped like an x towards Kodak.
'Fuck!' There wasn't anywhere Kodak could run to, and he couldn't possibly slash at the flames. So he resorted to his shield, activating it's skill several times.
The crucifix flames were fast as they shot to Kodak, he had managed to repel some but more kept on coming. He was draining his mana fast by using this skill, and it wouldn't be long until he was hit.
"I-i can't fail." Kodak muttered amidst the flames, he had come so far as to battle a god that he couldn't possibly fail now.
"Argh!" Kodak screamed in pain as his shield shattered to pieces, he was hit by several crucifix flames each burning his skin. He felt like waves of hot lava were hitting his body, and there was nothing he could do as he fell face first to the ground.
