Later in the day, a maid knocked at Iode's door to tell him that the welcome party is about to commence. Without wasting time, Iode dressed up and ready to go downstairs to join the family.
On getting there, he could see the mansion was filled up with people all kinds of age, all were discussing things that concerns them. Jarnathan was the first to spot Iode, he cleared his throat and called everyone together.
"Good day everyone, members of the Zenivia family, for a very long time, the house of the Zenivia household was home to two members of the original five, Barbara Karma, who later became known as Barbara Zenivia and Igor Zenivia, the icons of the wizard tribe.
For years, our family possessed and produced only the successors of our ancestral mother but never of our father until now, I'm pretty sure you all saw the announcement the Archmage made a few weeks ago about the emergence of Igor's successor.
Today, I present to you the successor of Igor and a new member of our family, please welcome, Iode Zenivia!". Jarnathan said with enthusiasm.
The people clapped and Iode smiled stylishly at them,then he said:
"It truly an honor to be admitted to the Zenivia family as well as having a grand welcome. As the successor of Igor, one of the five icons of our esteemed tribe, as well as becoming a member of his family, I'll do my best to bring honor and uphold his legacy ".
He got to meet with many members of the family all of which want to have at least a moment of discussion with him, whether to joke or to ask about his life.
Iode finally had a moment of rest when it was nighttime, there was a large dinner feast that most members attended and they mainly focused on him. Mingling with them, he got to know that the family has one main branch and several side branches.
Jarnathan is of the main branch, he was elected as the patriarch by the principal members, therefore, he and his family are part of the main branch. If anyone that's from the side branch wants to join the main, he must prove himself to have a lot of potentials before being adopted by the main branch.
The main branch stays at the central mansion of the manor, it is the biggest and most impressive of the five mansions. The remaining four are for the members of the side branch.
Thinking back, he has had a lot of ceremonies made specifically for him, first with his family at Illusium city when he got admission to Rohanes academy, second was when the Archmage host's a feast for him because he is the successor of Igor.
Third was at Bellgone village of the goblins tribe where he, Dettomolian and Tony saved the village from demon infestation, and now a feast made to welcome him to the Zenivia family.
"No matter how many times a feast is made for me, I can't get use to it, I always feel awkward". He said.
He laid down on his bed and slept in an instant with no trouble at all. The following day arrived, for some reason, Iode was feeling uncomfortable, he felt something disturbing his face.
In his drowsy sleep, he smacked the disturbance off and rolled to the other side to sleep comfortably but for some reason, that annoying thing kept coming at him.
With anger filled eyes that is all cracked red, Iode forcefully opened his eyes to see what kind of thing that's denying him of sleep. As he laid his eyes over to the thing, he froze.
' huh, it's him, did he get out of me... No, its different, its just like him but different, I can feel it energy, it's very similar to mine but it a little bit different '. He thought as he saw the little critter thing.
The thing that Iode saw was a tiny humanoid creature with callused body and little shark teeth in its mouth. It voiced out a little soft growl at him. The creature looked similar to the one that he encountered back in Illusium.
Iode could see very clearly the blue energy the little humanoid extrude.
"You are Barbara's little demon ain't ya". Iode said.
That figures, however, what is it doing here of all places, is it because he has Igor's power with him, and it got attracted to him. And also, why is it free moving, isn't it supposed to be in a chest of some sort?
The little creature got closer to him and began to snuggle at him, Iode's face became bilious.
"Get away from me you damn demon, I have nothing to do with you". He said irritated.
The little creature grumbled, leaps and bit Iode by his nose. He screamed and swat off the miniature humanoid, then he held his nose.
"You little shit, what was that for". He yelled.
The little creature turned it back on Iode and snorted at him.
Annoyed with it behavior he said:
"It seems without a host, you are nothing, why don't I do Sanhazer a favor and get rid of you while you are weak ".
In Iode's hand appears a fireball, he threw it at the creature. Unfortunately, it evaded it and the spell hits his bed, igniting flames that began to spread. Iode panicked and casts a water spell to quench the flames.
"You little thing, you ruined my bed, all the more reason to get rid of you!!! Take...". Iode was saying but he got interrupted by a knock at his door.
"Young master Iode, breakfast is ready and the master asked me to tell you to join ". The voice outside said.
"Oh, ok, I'll be on my way ". Iode replied. Then he turned back to the miniature creature, only to find it missing from it spot.
"Yeah, you better run and don't come back, silly thing". He said.
In few minutes time, Iode got out of his room to the dinning room, he met Jarnathan, his wife and their three children. The dining table was filled with different kinds of food, all pleasing to the eyes.
"Good morning Iode". Jarnathan said.
Good morning everyone ". Iode said as he went to sit in an empty spot.
"How was your night ". Laura, the wife of Jarnathan asked, she possess a red hair and hazel eyes, she smiled blissfully.
"It was fine". He replied.
Vivian, the little girl he met yesterday smiled cheerfully at him and Iode smiled back in return.
Laurence and Edwin, the older and younger siblings respectively. They are Vivian's older brothers. Laurence looks like his mother and younger sister, he has red hair and green eyes, he looks close in age with Iode, around 20 years.
Edwin on the other hand resembles his father, with his purple hair and eyes, his smile was cheerful. Laurence was indifferent and Edwin kept staring at him with wide smile.
While eating Iode spots the little creature at the center table, happily resting, and ignoring the people present.
' what the, why is that thing here? '. Iode stared at it bewildered.
