In the evening, around dusk, a large bonfire of about eleven feet burned brightly, giving light to the darkened settlement. Surrounding it were numerous goblins of various ages and sizes, dancing, eating, drinking and playing music in circles, celebrating.
In this celebration, the goblin chief in his adornment of beautiful sea shells and onyx stone, walks up to the middle, near the bonfire and gestures his hand to stop the playing music and dancing. Then he cleared his throat.
"Here there ladies and gentlegoblins, today is a joyous day for us goblins of Bellgone village, today many of us have witnessed the presence of the harbinger of fortune, a dragon ". The goblin chief said.
There were cheers within the goblin crowd to affirm the statement of their leader.
"While we are glad for such visit, the main reason for this celebration is the vanquishment of our enemies, the demons".
"It is no news to us about the demon's madness that struck us few months ago, we had no choice but to put an end to our comrade to stop the spread of it..."
The whole goblin crowd went silent in sadness to grieve their fallen comrades.
"... But even after their deaths, the awful demons still ravaged their bodies, got out and went looking for new hosts. To stop them from taking over new hosts, we placed barrier to deter them but we weren't able to kill them to give our comrades a befitting burial".
"That is where Iode comes in, a wizard who was washed up from the sea, stumbled upon by a group of young goblins who went fishing, due to this coincidental meeting, the wizard, together with Dettomolian the shaman and the dragon, they have helped us see the last of our enemies! ".
"I would like to call Iode of the wizards right here to me, because this feast is held for him, he was sent to us by Hathor the Frog god to vanquish the demons... Iode of the wizards please step out and come over here".
Wearing a different cloth, he stepped out and went to the chief near the bonfire. The chief made a gesture and a goblin came out and brought with him two cups filled with wine and gave them to the chief and Iode respectively.
"First, lets raise our wines to glorify Hathor the frog god for sending salvation to us, for we alone couldn't do it ".
All the goblin crowd raised their cup filled wine and chorus: "Glory to Hathor, the frog god, the god of fertility and plentiful".
The chief smiled and continued saying
"let's give cheers to Iode of the wizards for saving our comrades and letting them have a befitting burial"
The crowd again raised their cups and cheered for Iode. Iode also raised his cup and gagged up the wine in one go and smiled happily.
Moments later, while the celebration is still going on, many goblins have come to meet Iode and his guests who are to take him home. Among them were Gaga and Nimrad together with Greg, Sema, and Absalom.
"Nice to meet you, Iode of the wizards, l wouldn't have thought the young man we saved from the sea shore would be of great help to us, thank Hathor ". Gaga said.
"Thanks to me for tripping on him that is ". Greg puffed.
"We already get that Greg " Sema said.
"Mister, how were you able to beat those demons, Detto told us that there were numerous ugly looking creatures there and one big one, can you tell us how you beat them?". Absalom asked out of excitement.
"Absalom, Dettomolian already told us everything why are you still pestering him about it ". Sema nagged.
"I wanna hear from the hero himself ". Absalom pouts
"Yeah I wanna hear too ". Greg said.
Iode smiled nervously at them and told the story to the best of his ability. The three people sent to pick him up also listened, Jarnathan couldn't hide his joy, his smile reached ear to ear, Pandavatton also smiled at him but Myrtle was indifferent.
The following day came and the four of them were set to take their leave.
"We could just use teleportation magic to get us to wizardsville". Pandavatton said.
"We could but I already told Tony I'll go with him". Iode replied.
The three escorters looked at Tony to hear his response.
"Worry not wizards, I'll take him home as promised, you can go ahead and tell of our coming ". Tony said.
"No problem, they can go ahead, I'll follow Iode with you, if you allow that is". Jarnathan said.
Tony nodded, signaling that he approves of Jarnathan traveling with him.
"If that's the case, Pandavatton and l would go ahead... See you at wizardsville ". Myrtle said.
She casts a spell and a magic circle appeared underneath her and Pandavatton and soon they vanished from their spot. Now all who's left are Iode, Jarnathan and Tony.
"Shall we Iode?". Jarnathan said.
Iode smiled and climbed up to Tony's back and so did Jarnathan. The goblins of Bellgone village said their farewells. Tony flew and left.
