Whilst the infighting between the demon and Tony, Detto glanced at Iode and asked him:
"Iode, how did you get into contact with a dragon, they don't appear to just anyone, not to talk about speaking to anyone except you've done a good deed for them in the past or you are pure in heart... So which one do you fall into ".
"Well, shaman, I actually met him by coincidence during a quest as a requirement to enroll to an academy, we had a little scuffle at first, but later we warmed up to each other". Iode replied.
"So you are saying you are pure in heart?". Detto questioned.
"Oh, err, not sure, but I'm also sure that I didn't do anything good for him, infact we fought on our first encounter ". Iode said
"You are not sure you are pure in heart, and you didn't do any good for him, then, why are you in contact with each other?". Detto asked
"Well , I didn't do any good for him but someone else did in my stead, that person was the one I inherited this demonic energy from". Iode replied.
"Oh, I see, now it makes sense ". Detto said.

*Splatter
Dettomolian and Iode's body became covered in blood from the demon's defaced head. They were stunned, amazed and a bit disgusted _ mostly because of the blood splatter on them.
"Eww, demon's gut is all over me". Iode irritably said.
"That's an head not gut young man". Detto said.
"..."
"Thanks for the correction sir". Iode sarcastically said.
*Fwip. Fwip.
Tony flapped his wings and landed in front of them. Soon after, light enveloped him and returns to his crouching, quadruped form.
"The demon has been vanquished, you are welcome". Tony said.
"I really can't thank you enough, Tony, I really had a hard time with it". Iode said in exhilaration.
"Indeed, thank you for coming to our aid, oh ancient one ". Detto bowed down his head.
"..."
"Oh, yeah yeah ".
"Say little one, you look a little different from the last time we met, you finally found the necessary condition to breakthrough?". Tony asked.
"Yes, it was during a test battle, I fought against a Devastator, and won that was how I was able to do it". Iode said.
"That's good, the reason why you weren't able to breakthrough at the time was because you have not found a wall to climb over, not to brag but I am too much for you ".
"Ha ha, like I didn't see that myself, plus you dissed me that day, telling me my skills were nothing but mediocre ". Iode said out of sarcasm.
"I bet they still are, unlike someone from the distant past ". Tony teased.
"Worry not, you will see it with your very own eyes, I'll be greater than him ". Iode pouts.
Dettomolian stood at the background looking at Iode casually talk to a legendary beast.
'this kid sure is lucky '. He thought.
"Can we go out now, our business is done here". Detto called out.
"Indeed, let's leave". Tony said.
Detto casts his spell to temporarily open the barrier. Iode looked back at the demon's corpse, he could see the same demon lord's emblem he saw from the demon that attacked him in the dark void at its chest, he furrowed his face.
Soon, all three could see the demon's corpse turn into dust and dissipating into the air.
"I wonder what the future holds for this world". Iode said.
"No one knows ". Tony replied.
Dettomolian smiled and said,
"You two know not what great help you have done, now, there is no need for anymore barrier, our brethren can now get to rest the way they deserve ".
"Detto, you people helped me during my unconscious moments, this is the least I could have done, even though I wasn't the one who really dealt with it ". Iode said.
"You did your best, Iode, please come over to the village so we can thank you well ". Detto said.
"Well, I don't need it, I would like to go back home ". Tony said.
"I will follow you, you'll drop me at Rohanes". Iode said.
"I can't say for the dragon, but for you Iode, at least say goodbye to everyone in the village before leaving ". Detto admonished.
"Alright, Tony can you wait till tomorrow morning please ". Iode said.
"Fine ".
All three of them walked back to the village, but on the way, Iode could definitely feel that the eerieness and uneasiness he felt on the way earlier was gone, he gave a faint smile.
On getting to the village,there were numerous people at the village square, a young green goblin spots them, points at them and shouted:
"There they are, they've arrived!!!".
They were all surprised seeing the many people gathered together, as well as the kid's action but Iode was even more surprised seeing three recognized faces amongst the goblins.
"Prof Pandavatton?". Iode was stunned.
"Good to see you are still well and kicking, kid". The magus said.
