Iode just can't understand these people, even captain Jacob.
"You know, you are the one that knows these guild things, so there's nothing wrong in seeking advise from someone who knows more in this aspect". Ian said with a smile on his face.
With a neutral face which obviously showed a dissatisfied one, Iode answered "well, if guys are hungry and don't want to spend much, just look at the lowest cost one".
"Prices of food are nearly the same everywhere even in the Turfstick continent in the east". Iode continued.
"Well if the expert says so, let's buy enough breakfast for us". Jacob said.
"Tch, cheapskates, didn't even know a captain can be so cheap that he's looking if the price was tampered with". Iode muttered while rolling his eyes.
After eating breakfast, they left the inn and continued their journey en route to the Rohanes Academy. This time, Iode asked about the academy.
"Sure thing, me and Kyle over there are in year three. The academy is divided into three levels which depends on the level you are, the first years are for the low level mages who are between 1 to 3 stars, the second years are for the mid level mages who are between 4 to 6 stars and the third years for the advanced level mages between 7 to 9 stars". Ian said.
"Just a warning, do not offend any senior especially those in advance level or better still, don't offend anyone". Kyle said to Iode with a cold face while facing at the window.
Iode smiled at Kyle's remark and thought in his mind "he's quite soft indeed, just his cold face that's giving a scary vibe.
"At least i have you seniors with me, I'll be coming to see you when need be". Iode replied with a smile.
"If we haven't graduated by that time". Kyle said in his mind while scoffing on the outside.
Both Ian and Iode saw him and thought
"What is he thinking scoffing like that".
"Hey i want to ask what star level are you guys". Iode said.
"We are both 8 star mages, when we reach nine we'll graduate, and if we wish to increase our level we'll go to any of the towers". Ian replied.
"What about you". Ian asked iode in return.
In a low voice Iode replied "I'm just a 1 star mage".
Ian and Kyle became dumbfounded hearing this.
"how did he pass the assessment with just one star?"
"He has such a strong aura around him and he's just a single star mage?".
"If i remember well first years were supposed to be at least 2 stars and above, if any of his mate and those mid level seniors of his hears this he's gonna be bullied hard".
Load of questions and best case scenario of how his life at the academy would look like flooded their brains, even an oblivious person like iode was reading their thoughts like a book.
Ian decides to snap out of his thoughts and said "when we get to the academy we will teach you some tricks". He said with a cheerful face.
Though this was Iode's shameful and embarrassing secret, he was happy to meet these people ready to help him.
The day was long and it was getting dark, they decides to camp near the road for the night. The morning came, they all woke up and ready to embark on their journey.
After a long stressful journey they finally reached a place with a large gate. On top of the gate was the word "Welcome to the Rohanes", yes this was the place Iode has been anticipating to reach and now he's finally here.
