"Go die... you imbecile." Erin hissed, but the response she received was a reminder tap on her bottom. ¡He had patted her butt with the beast's straps! It hadn't hurt, but ¡damn! ¡Damn it! Then her captor added:
"You can send me to hell if you want, but throw another insult like that, and you will find punished."
Erin bit her tongue because she had a string of the rudest insults ready to scream at the top of her lungs.
"I never thought I'd see the day when a woman would reject you…" Suddenly, Darek's voice sounded very close. Erin raised her head from her uncomfortable position, but she only caught a glimpse of the dagger plunged into Ahian's leg.
Her stomach turned, and she immediately tried to look away from it. Then, she saw how his hand took the dagger firmly and pulled it.
"She rejected anyone who approached her… including you." Ahian reminded his subordinate.
Erin listened to him while trying to contain her furor. However, she ignored whatever else he was saying the moment she saw what was supposed to be his blood. ¡Good heavens!
The man's blood had stained the blade and also had wet his pants. However, it wasn't the right color. ¿How on earth? His blood was blue.
"What the blue hell?" Erin exclaimed before she could contain herself and immediately heard Darek laugh.
"She's fun, though." The young man said smilingly. However, the boss didn't seem to find it funny.
"Take care of your business, Darek." Erin loved Ahian's sullen intervention, but only until a new voice broke in. Was her sister's voice:
"Will they be fine?"
"Ruby!?" As she called out to her sister, Erin tried to sit up. "¡Oh Rub! ¿What happened to you?" But, having said this, her captor tapped her right shoulder this time. Then he said:
"Unlike you, she is here by her own will." Ahian blurted out with a little bit of bitterness.
Erin just couldn't believe it. "I don't believe it." She said with conviction. However, her confidence didn't last too long. And then silence brought her the answer.
"¡Ruby, you silly girl!" She started yelling: "¡I can't wait until our mother puts her hands on you!" And Erin continued to spout scoldings and threats until her sister's voice interrupted her.
"Let's go, Darek. She is not gonna listen."
After this, Erin felt the other animal's footsteps moving away to the left, and a feeling of betrayal and misfortune took over her and made her cry. And she cried until she was distracted by Ahian's hands.
Ahian tore his pants so that he further exposed his wound. Then, a flask appeared in front of Erin's eyes. It smelled of seawater. The next thing the man did was pour water on his wound.
And to Erin's utter amazement, the cut began to bubble.
"What…?" Seconds later, when Ahian ran his hand over the tear in his thigh to wipe away the blue fluids, it was evident that the skin where the wound used to be was intact. Oh, gods...
"Shit…" Erin said, finally letting her head fall. Her neck muscles were in pain from the effort. She felt in every way defeated. A half-amused laugh from Ahian reached her ears. Erin let it go. She was so tired. While thinking about taking a rest, she registered an intense and novel smell coming from the animal carrying them. She finally relaxed her stiff muscles.
This is not the end. Erin thought as she fell asleep. She would look for a way to escape later.
