Chapter 1 - Chapter 1

Today Tae Hoon was going to confess his feelings to the girl he had a crush on for over 6 months, her name was Kang Ji Hye— a 3rd semester architecture student

It just so happened that today Tae Hoon and his three friends were having a small party at a bar. One of Tae Hoon's friends also happened to be in the same department as Ji Hye, so he could invite Ji Hye to join.

Hyun Woo brought along his class fellow, Kang Ji Hye, Kim Soha and Lee Gohee. Tae Hoon also brought along his class fellow, Jeon Jung Hyun, and Hwang Min Joon.

"I think you were going to bring three friends, at this rate one of us is going to be left out!" Hyun Woo exclaimed to Ji Hye who was sitting across from him holding a glass of beer.

"You didn't say that four people were coming," Ji Hye replied with an annoyed look.

"Don't you know that I only have three friends?" Hyun Woo retorted again.

"I don't know," Ji Hye snapped, choosing to ignore Hyun Woo and drink her alcohol.

"By the way, are you okay, Tae Hoon? You look drunk." Ji Hye turned her attention to Tae Hoon who was sitting off to the side, right after she placed the empty glass on the table.

Tae Hoon immediately raised his face as soon as he heard Ji Hye's voice calling his name. His face was bright red and his whole body was tense.

"I-I'm not drunk, really!" Tae Hoon replied while trying to give a sweet smile.

"Tae Hoon, you look so pathetic, you know! Too bad you don't have a couple." So Ha who was sitting next to Ji Hye glanced at Tae Hoon with a grin.

Hearing So Ha's words just now, Tae Hoon's heart was successfully disturbed. He looked down, frowning in annoyance while clenching his hands on his thighs. This day was really messed up!

"I wanted to confess my feelings to Ji Hye. But why did I get drunk instead?! And also what kind of situation is this? I should be the one sitting in front of Ji Hye!" Tae Hoon grimaced in annoyance.

"Ji Hye, do you still not have a boyfriend?" Min Joon suddenly asked. But it wasn't Ji Hye who was surprised by the question, but Tae Hoon.

"No, I don't. Why do you ask?"

"Even though many men are interested in you, don't you have anyone you like?" Hyun Woo also asked.

"Hm, I don't know. I'm not really interested in dating right now," Ji Hye replied in a tone without any interest at all.

"What kind of reason is that?" Min Joon glanced sarcastically. Meanwhile, behind Ji Hye and Min Joon's conversation, there was one person who felt sad when he heard Ji Hye's statement earlier, who else if not Tae Hoon. The words that Ji Hye said earlier certainly pierced his heart, as if he had been rejected before he could even express his feelings.

The intentions she had been building up for weeks vanished instantly, dissipating like vapor. Tae Hoon was still looking down sluggishly, with a sad look on his face. Ji Hye noticed Tae Hoon's state. She continued to silently watch him with a sympathetic gaze. She honestly wanted to help Tae Hoon talk, but she was having trouble finding the right timing.

The bar they were at was crowded, but moments later, the bar that had been crowded became twice as crowded as before. The patrons who had been staying in their respective places suddenly left and went to the crowd in front of the door.

The whispering voices of the patrons could be clearly heard. All the excitement was caused by the arrival of a beautiful woman wearing a black dress and a short skirt. The woman walked casually without caring about the glances of the visitors that were directed at her.

The visitors were silent, waiting for a place where the woman would stop. But instead of looking for an empty spot, she stood in front of the table where Tae Hoon and his friends were sitting.

"Excuse me, I see there's one empty seat, can I sit here?" The woman asked in a friendly tone.

All attention was on the woman, each of them giving a different look, except for Tae Hoon who was still looking down weakly due to his hangover. As soon as the six of them realized the identity of the woman, their eyes immediately widened.

"Do-dont you're... that famous influencer! What was her name?" Hyun Woo tried to remember while pointing at the woman.

"Han So Hyun?" Go Hee guessed first.

"Damn, you're right! Han So Hyun!" Hyun Woo immediately shouted in surprise after successfully remembering the identity of the woman standing in front of them. Those sitting at the table suddenly widened their eyes so wide, they were obviously shocked.

"Mi-Miss So Hyun, what's the matter with you coming here?" Hyun Woo stood up, asking in a soft tone while smiling sweetly.

"I wanted to meet someone," So Hyun replied with a sweet smile, a smile that mesmerized Hyun Woo, Jung Hyun and Min Joon.

"Meet someone? Who? There doesn't seem to be anyone here that you're looking for," Ji Hye opened her voice, glancing sharply at So Hyun.

So Hyun immediately turned her head to the left upon hearing Ji Hye's words. Her gaze was directed at Tae Hoon who was sleeping from being too drunk. With just a glance, Ji Hye immediately knew who So Hyun was referring to.

"I want to see him." So Hyun extended her left hand and pointed at Tae Hoon. Instantly all eyes were drawn to Tae Hoon, a few seconds later, both of their eyes widened again.

"You know Tae Hoon?!" Min Joon shouted in surprise. So Hyun only replied with a long smile.

"Hey, Kim Tae Hoon, you jerk! Wake up! Hey! You bastard! You've been secretly hooking up with a beautiful woman all this time! Hey!" Hyun Woo, who was sitting next to Tae Hoon, tried to wake him up by violently shaking his body.

"What's wrong, anyway?" the semi-conscious Tae Hoon joked.

"Wake up, you bastard! Someone's looking for you!" Hyun Woo shouted once more in annoyance.

"Huh?" Tae Hoon rubbed his eyes first before looking up and seeing the figure that was looking for him.

Tae Hoon's eyes squinted to remember the identity of the woman who was smiling at him.

"Who are you?" Tae Hoon's question just now successfully made all of his friends freeze in shock. Hyun Woo, Jung Hyun and Min Joon wanted to beat Tae Hoon up so badly because he was the only one who didn't know Han So Hyun, the queen of influencers who was famous all over social media.

"No need to rush, we can get acquainted right now." So Hyun pulled the chair that was located on the other side, pulled it next to Tae Hoon and sat there. She rested her head on the palm of her right hand, gazing deeply at Tae Hoon with a sweet smile.

"My name is Han So Hyun," she said.

"Han... So Hyun?" Their eyes met, but the way they looked at each other was much different. Only So Hyun looked at Tae Hoon with an affectionate gaze, while Tae Hoon looked at So Hyun with a slightly lazy gaze.

"So, how do you know Tae Hoon?" Ji Hye suddenly opened her voice after a few seconds of silence.

"I don't know, what do you think?" So Hyun asked back without taking her eyes off Tae Hoon.

"What?" Ji Hye succeeded in getting emotional. Her brow furrowed in annoyance. She herself also didn't know why she suddenly felt upset.

"Tae Hoon, do you want to drink with me?" So Hyun asked in a deliberately soft tone to tease Tae Hoon.

"No." Tae Hoon firmly refused without thinking first. So Hyun successfully pouted when she heard Tae Hoon's refusal. Honestly, she felt a little sad.

"U-um, So Hyun. You saw it yourself, right? Tae Hoon is already drunk. There's no way he can drink anymore. It could be dangerous." Hyun Woo immediately replied to Tae Hoon's words so So Hyun wouldn't feel disappointed and left. This was the first time they had a famous influencer. Of course they wouldn't just let So Hyun leave.

"I-it's true! So Hyun, come drink with us!" Jung Hyun opened his voice, intending to help Hyun Woo so that So Hyun wouldn't leave immediately.

"Okay!" So Hyun happily agreed, and that's how they all ended up having a drinking party without Tae Hoon. About two hours later, they were all pretty drunk, except for So Hyun, Hyun Woo, Jung Hyun, and So Ha.

"So Hyun, I didn't know you could drink so much alcohol," Hyun Woo said as he poured alcohol into So Hyun's glass.

"It's a must," So Hyun replied and downed Hyun Woo's alcohol.

"They're all drunk already, how is this? Hey, Ji Hye, can you stand up? I'll take you home. Jung Hyun you take Min Joon, and So Ha, you can take care of Go Hee, right?"

"Of course," So Ha replied accompanied by a lopsided smile. Her attention was suddenly drawn to Tae Hoon who was still asleep. "Then what about Tae Hoon?"

"Oh, you're right." Hyun Woo momentarily forgot about Tae Hoon's existence. Too bad there were an odd number of them, so only Tae Hoon was left. Hyun Woo didn't know what to do.

"Let me take care of him," So Hyun suddenly raised her right hand. Hyun Woo immediately turned his head with a shocked expression.

"Are you sure it'll be okay? Tae Hoon has a bad habit of getting drunk," Hyun Woo said with a worried and slightly uncomfortable look.

"Of course."

After that, they hurried away from there. They went in different directions while carrying one drunk unconscious person each. Hyun Woo carried Ji Hye on his back, and stopped by the side of the road to look for a taxi.

"Oh, yeah, did I tell So Hyun the address of Tae Hoon's house?"

Hyun Woo's feelings somehow turned bad. But all of that immediately disappeared when a taxi suddenly stopped in front of him. Hyun Woo rushed inside with Ji Hye, and got out of there.

The next day. Tae Hoon woke up on a large bed. He paused for a moment to gather his thoughts before getting out of bed. Once he had fully recovered his consciousness, Tae Hoon sat up and stretched his arms up. His expression suddenly changed when he saw a room that looked very unfamiliar to his eyes.

"What is this? Where am I?" Tae Hoon cast his eyes around once more, and ended up on the figure of So Hyun lying on the bed, right next to him. Both of Tae Hoon's eyes immediately rounded perfectly, and it felt like they were about to pop out.

"Wo-wo-woman?!"

Tae Hoon was currently panicking to death. Moreover, he could not remember anything that happened last night. He felt like sinking into the earth's core right now.
