Chapter 3 - 3. House of El

Artisan entered the atmosphere of the planet and then flew as he scanned the atmosphere as he flew inside. He saw a very advanced civilization on the planet as he was fascinated by it. He flew down towards the ground as he went into what he thinks is an alley before his suit changed into new set of clothes.

He had also taken the chance to scan the clothing of the Kryptonians and used it to change the form of his nanomachines into the same type of clothes as a Kryptonian. After that was done he walked out of the alley and joined the rest of the people of Krypton as he walked amongst the populace.

'I should find a place to know where the house of El is.' Artisan thought to himself as he walked.

He used his system again and scanned the place and managed to find a place where he could get a computer. He could try to hack into the system but he didn't want to get the attention of the plants supercomputer as he wants to lay low for now.

He reached the building and entered inside and went to find a computer. After that he opened it and searched for the information and thankfully he got the information. He knew that since it is a well known House of Krypton, the address might be on the internet and it seemed like he was right.

After he saw it he closed the computer and left the place. He moved into an alley and his armor formed on his body before going into camouflage mode. He then immediately flew into the air in great speed as he stopped almost before he reached the general area.

He landed on the ground and his armor moved and turned back into the watch. He walked to the gate of the place and rang the bell. A screen appeared on the side of gate and he saw a man from it.

"Who is this?" The man asked him.

"Is this the residence of the House of El?" Artisan asked him with a smile.

"Yes, this is the House of El. Who are you?" The man asked him.

"I'm The Artisan and I am looking for Jor-El." Artisan said to him.

"Why?" The man asked him.

"Because, the core of your planet is unstable." Artisan said to him with a cheshire grin

He watched the man's eyes widened at his words. He didn't say anything for a few seconds before his face became serious.

"I'm opening the gate. Come inside." The man said to him seriously.

"Of course." Artisan said with a smile as the gate opened.

He entered through the gate and went towards the house of the man. He went to the door as it opened by itself as he walked inside. The man who had talked with him a few moments ago walked and stood a few feet away from him.

"Hello Jor-El." Artisan said with a smile.

"You know my name. You said your name is the Artisan correct?" Jor-El asked him.

"Yes, so can we talk." Artisan said with a smile.

"Follow me." Jor-El said as he walked away.

Artisan followed behind him as they entered the house and went to the living room. Jor-El looked at him seriously as he sat on his couch. He gestured for Artisan to sit on the adjacent couch as he did. He became comfortable on the couch and leaned on it as he looked at Jor-El.

"How do you know about the state of our planet's core?" Jor-El asked him seriously.

"The same way you did. Using my technology. I would suggest leaving your planet as soon as possible." Artisan said to him with an easygoing smile.

"I can't do that. Not when I know that my own people are about to be killed." Jor-El said to him seriously.

"Then I suppose you have a plan to save your people?" Artisan asked him curiously.

"I do have one. What's in it for you?" Jor-El asked him.

"I'm just someone who wants to help. Did you take this with your leaders?" Artisan asked him seriously.

"The High Council does not think that what I'm saying is true. They dismissed it." Jor-El said to him as he sighed.

"Is there anyone on this planet who actually believes you?" Artisan asked him with a smile as he looked around the place.

Jor-El frowned at his words before he closed his eyes. After a few minutes he sighed before he opened his eyes and looked at him seriously.

"My friend, General Zod, he believes me." Jor-El said to him.

"You hesitated before telling me. Is there some problem between you two?" Artisan asked him as he eyed the Kryptonian.

"Our friendship is a bit strained. Not to mention, our actions on how to save our race is different." Jor-El said as he sighed.

"How do you two plan to save your people?" Artisan asked him.

"I want to build a pocket reality around our core and stop further deterioration, but it needs to use a lot of energy, which we can only get if we use a lot of our energy. While Zod wants to take full use of our military might and forcefully use the energy. His actions have started revolts amongst our people." Jor-El said to him.

"I have to tell you this Jor-El, you cannot save your planet. Your best chance is to leave the planet." Artisan said to him with a serious face

Jor-El was surprised at the sudden change in demeanor of the man, he was suspicious of him but he seemed to be the only other person who believes his words or rather, knows about what is going to happen.

"How do you know that we won't be able to save Krypton?" Jor-El asked him seriously.

"Because I've already run the numbers and calculations. Two days from now, the core or Krypton will fully destabilize and destroy the planet at system time 15:45. If you don't escape soon then you will die alongside the rest of your species." Artisan said to him with a serious face.

"How do you calculate that?" Jor-El asked shocked at how he had just admitted to calculating such a thing.

"Does it matter? If you want to save yourself then do it fast. That is all I can say to you." Artisan said to him seriously.

"What are you going to do?" Jor-El asked him after he contemplated for a few seconds.

"I'm going to meet with this General Zod, I might not get to meet him personally but I can pass on the message." Artisan said to him as he stood up.

"You want to tell Zod about it?" Jor-El asked surprised.

"Yes. Do you have any problems with that?" Artisan asked him as he looked at him.

"No." Jor-El said with a shake of his head.

"Then, I'll be on my way. Thank you for the hospitality." Artisan said before he walked out of the house.

Jor-El watched as Artisan left his property and walked away. After that he went inside his house and went into deep thought. He then went to a room where his baby son was sleeping as the Artisan's words echoed in his mind.
