Chapter 34 - He Was Always In Power

[JIMINIE]

"Mimi!!!" Luna Park cried out in agony when she followed the blood trail and was met with an unconscious son who was lying in a pool of his own blood. The shock stopped her in her tracks as she tried to make it all make sense.

She had just gotten her son back and now here he was, laying in a puddle of his own blood. The sight of crimson on the pale white tiles was benign Luna Park's heart and she felt like her world was always stopping.

"No… Not my son, please, no," Luna Park cried out as she rushed to Jiminie, who was still folded in an uncomfortable position on the floor. He looked like he had to have been in so much pain and it just wasn't right.

"I left him literally five minutes ago. What the fuck happened to him?" Lee Tang asked worriedly as he helped Luna carry Jiminie to the bed. He was as light as a feather and with his blood dripping on the sheets, Jiminie was in clear danger.

"Did he say something to you?" Luna Park asked as she checked her son. She could feel the high fever her son was still having and the way he was slowly paling. It was not something she was used to daily and this hurt, on all fronts.

She had just lost her husband and while she had always been strict with her son, she had never hated Jiminie entirely. Maybe she was a bad mom, but surely there was no way this was happening to her only son, right?

"He seems to be clawing his stomach. And his mark is too red. Its color is–'' Lee Tang began before he sat on the bed defeated, making Luna stare at him, questions in her eyes as she waited for an explanation.

"Wh… Why are you stopping? What happened? And where the fuck are the damn doctors???" Luna Park shouted and the warriors outside rushed to find the pack doctor as it would be easier to explain the mess.

"Luna… I don't think you sh–" Lee Tang began and Luna glared at her.

"What the fuck is wrong with my son, Lee Tang?" Luna insisted and Lee Tang was confused as to whether he was supposed to be truthful with her or if it was better to be what it was from the pack physician.

"What happened?" the Luna kept asking but Lee Tang wasn't giving her any answers. It was like this something he wouldn't be able to let her know, perhaps because of how difficult it was to break the news to Luna.

Or maybe it was because the beta wasn't sure if this was the kind of news Jiminie wanted to have out there. Then again, the bleeding was not cool at all, and they all had a feeling what this meant, especially the position of the hand on Jiminie's stomach.

"The doctor is here," Lee Tang said as he jumped off the bed and let the doctor through.

"How long has he been like this?" Doctor Jung Hwa asked when she walked in and saw a pool of blood on the floor. The color of the blood was dark and there was only one reason for that, and the doctor knew it too.

"Ten minutes, give or take," Lee Tang said as he looked at the alpha on the bed, then at Luna in the room, not to mention the doctor who was staring at him skeptically like there was something else the beta was not telling them.

"Alright," Doctor Jung Hwa said, walking toward the unconscious alpha on the bed. He looked pale and in so much pain. It was like he was dying on the inside and there wasn't a thing they could do for him.

"The alpha has a mate mark. That can only mean that this is because of whatever his mate is doing. His mate sleeps with another, even at this moment, that's why he's bleeding too much.

"I'm afraid there isn't much I can do other than restrain his hands and legs so he doesn't hurt himself. It would be best to find his mate and ask them why they choose to do this to the alpha," Doctor Jung Hwa said defeatedly and there were gasps around.

Luna Park stared at her son, her heart breaking for the boy she shouldn't have protected well and one she should have been a mother to. Now her son was mated and even she didn't know who the fuck his mate was who was causing him so much pain.

"Do you know his mate, beta Tang?" Doctor Jung asked and Lee Tang was at a loss for words. On one hand he wanted to stay loyal to his best friend while on the other hand, he wasn't sure the mate the alpha had was the kind Luna wanted.

"I–"

"You're his best friend. He tells you everything. Please, Lee Tang. Please tell her so she can find a way to fix my son. The entire pack is bound to my son who is bedridden for the second time in just the two weeks he has been home.

"They will think of him to be weak and might really consider migrating and putting themselves in even more danger. Please, Lee Tang. If you won't do it for me, then please for the sake of Kiyoto.

"We can't fight against the Lycans and win if we didn't have Mimi, so please," Luna Park begged and the beta stared at the mother and son. He knew the truth. He owns a kind of truth that would not only break hearts but raise more suspicions.

Lee Tang was heartbroken on behalf of his best friend. Barely hours ago, Jiminie had been hurt by that same mate indirectly and now Agust was doing the same to him. What the fuck was this man even on to make him hate Jiminie so much?

"I'm sorry, Luna. I do not know who the alpha's mate is. I only know that he is a strong alpha and will be well soon. I wish I could help. Maybe if he regains his consciousness he might give the answers you seek.

"I'm sorry I wasn't helpful this time, please excuse me," Lee Tang said, bowing to his Luna before he left the alpha's room. He hated seeing Jiminie that vulnerable. He hated what Agust was doing to Jiminie.

The only way that Lee Tang could think of to save Jiminie, was to find the damn woman who had come earlier. She was his link to Agust and maybe she would be able to tell Agust to reject Gemini and accept her, right?

Maybe then his best friend wouldn't be in so much pain. All of this wasn't fair to anyone and no matter what angle they looked at it from, there was never going to be a better solution than Agust himself.

The man was a beast but a part of Lee Tang hoped that Agust cared about Jiminie. He hoped that the mad king was going to let his anger go, for the mate he had marked. After all, Lycans never left their erasthais in pain, right?

And with that in mind, Lee Tang left Kiyoto for the Lycan Kingdom.
