London, 24 April 1890
Dear Jonathan,
A few days ago I heard that you couldn't go to Transylvania to meet one of our clients who was interested in buying a property in the city of London. I never saw Mr. Hawskin that worried before when heard news about you get fever night before, We hope you get well soon and dont worry about pur clients, my father send me as replacement considering past experience you know? About Renfield, he is back as different person and end up in rehabilitation facility.
But brother previously I congratulated you on your engagement to Mrs Murray, I heard this news from Aunt May, I was really disappointed not to hear directly from you.
It's been a long time since I heard news about Lucy, your good friend's engagement, two summers ago I met her when I visited the town of Whitby. It's really unfortunate for me as an ordinary girl who has her heart set on a nobleman.
Just yesterday, Mr. Hawkins assigned me to replace you. Next week I'm leaving by train to Munich and if all goes well I'll be arriving in Vienna early in the morning on May 2.
Thank you my brother, I wish the best for you and your partner. See you brother wish me luck and back in pieces.
Signed,
Mr. Daniel Raditz Black
