Natalie's POV:
It's past dawn; the cool sun rays streak into my room through the window. Everything seems to be in place, except that Hendrix is not beside me... or even in the room.
Yielding to reflex and nervousness, I sit up in bed with the speed of light, in an attempt to go out in search of him but I remain glued on the spot, suddenly having a change of mind.
The reason I hesitate going after him is that for all it's worth, he needs a lone time, just that it's taking longer than it should.
He can't be mad at me for long... I try to shake the possibility of that out of my head, even though the evidence is staring right at my face.
'Do you know if he's outside the door?' I pause to get a response from my wolf. 'Perhaps he doesn't want to come in just yet?'
