Ren strode into the training hall, where Marshal Roland was overseeing the new recruits. He scanned the room, looking for signs of progress and potential. "Marshal Roland, how many people were we able to train as anti-mages?" he inquired.
Marshal Roland saluted and approached Ren. "Milord, the new batch of 1,000 people have already become anti-mages," he replied, pride and relief in his voice.
Ren nodded, pleased with the result. He had a plan, and he needed as many anti-mages as possible to execute it. "Let the 1,000 new anti-mages defend the city and gather the veteran ones. We will raid Emberwood County," he commanded, his eyes gleaming with ambition.
Marshal Roland swallowed hard. He knew that Emberwood County was a powerful and wealthy fiefdom, He also knew that Ren had a personal grudge against Emberwood county, and that this raid was more than just a strategic move.
"As you command, Milord," he said respectfully.
Ren clapped him on the shoulder and gave him a confident smile. "Notify me after you are done. I will go to Sir William's office," he said, turning to leave.
He walked into the city hall, where a guard saw him and bowed respectfully. "Milord!"
"Sir William is here?" Ren asked the guard.
"Indeed, Milord. He was overseeing the city construction with several people," the guard answered.
"I see." Ren said with ease.
"Continue your job." He walked into the city hall, looking for Sir William.
Ren knocked on the door of Sir William's office. He was eager to share his plan with his steward and mentor, He had always respected Sir William's wisdom and experience. "Sir William are you there?" he asked impatiently.
Sir William opened the door and greeted Ren with a warm smile. He invited him in and offered him a seat. "Milord, what brings you here?" he said, surprised.
Ren sat down and looked Sir William in the eye. "Sir William, I am going to raid Emberwood County. While I am gone, you will govern the city. Also, how about rebuilding the city? How many houses were able to be rebuilt after the siege by the coalition army?" he announced, decisively.
"Milord, Thanks to you able to resurrect everyone, now we able to repair more than 500 house, we also going to remove slum district and relocate to better place."
"The removal of the slum district will undoubtedly improve the overall living conditions. I will oversee the construction efforts in your absence and ensure the city continues to thrive."
Ren smiled, appreciating Sir William's support. "Excellent, Sir William. Your leadership is invaluable."
"Before I go, I want to make a policy first, my citizen should be able to read, writing and do the math, by build a school."
"Second, women have equal right as men."
"And third, Church and State, our fiefdom will embrace chaos as their religion and me and Gareth as a god to rule this realm."
Sir William listened attentively to Ren's proposed policies, nodding in understanding as each point was laid out. The determination in Ren's eyes mirrored the resolve of a leader committed to shaping not just a territory but a society.
"Milord, your vision for education is commendable. Establishing schools will not only empower our citizens with knowledge but also contribute to the overall progress and enlightenment of our fiefdom."
He then responded to the second point, "Equal rights for women is a noble principle. It will foster inclusivity and ensure that all members of our society, regardless of gender, have an equal opportunity to contribute to its growth and prosperity."
When Ren mentioned embracing Chaos as a religion and deifying him and Gareth, he already mentions it before when he gathers everyone after the war against the Coalition Army: "As for embracing Chaos, I agree, after the Church of Light invaded our land with the Coalition Army, we should ban their practice and turn our citizens into anti mage by embracing Chaos and you as their god."
Ren nodded at Sir William's acknowledgment of the policies. "Indeed, Sir William. The Church of Light's invasion has left scars, and it's time to reshape our beliefs for the betterment of our fiefdom. Chaos will be our guiding force, and the unity it brings will strengthen our people against external threats."
"Prepare the necessary decrees to implement these policies. Ensure that the citizens understand the reasons behind these decisions. As for the raid on Emberwood County, I will be leading our forces. Marshal Roland will coordinate the defense and oversee the anti-mages in the city in my absence."
Sir William nodded, understanding the gravity of the situation. "Milord, I will see to the implementation of the policies and govern the city with the utmost care. May your endeavors be successful, and the fiefdom prosper under the banner of Chaos."
Ren stood up, clasping Sir William's shoulder with a firm grip. "Thank you, Sir William. Your support is invaluable. Govern wisely, and I shall return victorious."
With that, Ren left Sir William's office and made his way to the courtyard, where preparations for the raid were already underway.
"Marshal Roalnd, is preparation for raid is ready?" Ren asks.
Marshal Roland saluted Ren. "Milord, the forces are ready, and the anti mages are positioned to defend the city. We await your command to commence the raid on Emberwood County."
Ren nodded in satisfaction. "Excellent Prepare to march. We shall strike at the heart of Emberwood County and show them the strength of our resolve."
The soldiers in the courtyard stirred with anticipation, ready to follow Ren into the upcoming battle. The banners of the fiefdom fluttered in the wind, bearing the emblem of Chaos as a symbol of their new faith and allegiance.
Ren addressed the assembled troops, "Soldiers of Oscana, today, we embark on a mission to revenge against the coalition army that invade our land, Emberwood County will know the might of Chaos, and they shall tremble in the face of our unity. Forged in the fires of adversity, we stand undaunted. Onward to victory!""
