Chapter 44 - Resurrect Everyone

As Elara staggered backward, blood flowing from the wound inflicted by General Cedric's furious assault, the atmosphere on the battlefield grew even more tense.

The defenders are now losing so many soldiers that Elara is now dying as one of their leaders, making the situation dire for Sir William and Marshal Roland.

"Elara!" Sir William shouted, his eyes filled with concern and anger.

Marshal Roland, seeing the dire situation, redoubled his efforts to eliminate the remaining Royal Army soldiers, determined to reach Elara's side.

"Fuck!"

Sir William's exclamation echoed the collective frustration and desperation of the defenders. The loss of Elara, a skilled and valiant leader, dealt a severe blow to their morale. The once defiant stance of the defenders wavered in the face of tragedy.

General Cedric, reveling in his ruthless victory, sneered at the defenders. "This is the fate that awaits anyone who opposes the might of Verdant Glades Kingdom!"

Marshal Roland, fueled by grief and anger. "You will pay the price!"

With grief transforming into a burning rage, Marshal Roland unleashed a torrent of attacks on the remaining Royal Army soldiers. Each swing of his blade became a relentless assault, fueled by the loss of Elara and the determination to avenge her sacrifice.

Sir William's wounds are now fully healed. "Elara, your sacrifice won't be in vain. We will not let this tyrant conquer our city!" Sir William proclaimed, his voice echoing with a mixture of grief and determination.

"Prepare yourself, royal dog! You will answer for the blood you've spilled today," Sir William declared, his eyes glowing with an unearthly intensity.

After Marshal Roland kills any Coalition soldier who blocks his path to kill General Cedric, he now joins hands with Sir William to defeat General Cedric.

Sir William, infused with the power of the Blood Pact and fueled by grief over Elara's sacrifice, joined forces with Marshal Roland to confront General Cedric. The once chaotic and desperate situation began to shift as the defenders rallied around the memory of their fallen comrade.

General Cedric, his attention diverted between Sir William and Marshal Roland, faced the combined might of the two leaders. The clash of blades and the resonance of powerful attacks echoed through the war-torn streets of Oscana City.

"Die!"

The battle raged on, the clash of steel and the roars of combatants filling the air. General Cedric, though formidable, now faced the united strength of Sir William and Marshal Roland, both fueled by determination and the memory of Elara's sacrifice.

Sir William aims for his head while Marshal Roland aims for his leg, each attack making it difficult to defend, General Cedric desperately trying to defend against their attack.

Sir William and Marshal Roland charged at General Cedric, their sword fused with chaotic energy. General Cedric, sensing the danger, raised his sword to block their attacks.

"Ha! You think you can defeat me, the greatest general of Verdant Glades? You are nothing but insects to me!" General Cedric taunted, his voice dripping with contempt.

"You will pay for your crimes, Cedric! You will pay for killing Elara and countless others!" Sir William shouted, his voice filled with rage.

"Elara? Who is Elara? Oh, you mean that pathetic woman who tried to stop me? She was nothing but a nuisance. I enjoyed watching her bleed to death," General Cedric sneered, his words cutting deep into Sir William's heart.

"You bastard! How dare you speak of her like that!"

Sir William roared, his anger reaching its peak.

He swung his sword with all his might, aiming for General Cedric's head. General Cedric, caught off guard by Sir William's sudden burst of speed, barely managed to parry the blow. The impact of the swords sent sparks flying in the air.

Marshal Roland, seeing an opening, lunged at General Cedric's leg, hoping to cripple him. General Cedric, however, was not an easy opponent. He swiftly kicked Marshal Roland in the chest, sending him flying back.

"Nice try, but you are too slow, too weak. You are no match for me," General Cedric mocked, his confidence unshaken.

Marshal Roland, coughing up blood, struggled to get up. He felt a sharp pain in his ribs, but he ignored it. He looked at Sir William, who was still locked in a fierce duel with General Cedric. He saw the determination in his eyes, the resolve to fight until the end.

He wiped the blood from his mouth, and gripped his sword tightly. He stood up, and ran towards General Cedric, joining Sir William in the attack.

"Elara, we won't let you down. We will avenge you. We will end this war. We will make you proud," Marshal Roland said, his voice filled with emotion.

He and Sir William coordinated their attacks, striking at General Cedric from different angles, making it hard for him to defend. General Cedric, feeling the pressure, began to lose his composure. He realized that he had underestimated his enemies, that they were not as weak as he thought.

"Well done everyone, thank you for holding them back, now leave everything to me." A voice echoed across the chaotic battlefield. It was Ren, their lord, but he didn't come alone, he came with his alter ego, Gareth Miller.

"M-m-milord!" Sir William and Marshal Roland heard their liege voice, but when they saw their liege, they were confused.

"Why did our Lord become two persons? Which one was real, and which one was false?" As Ren, accompanied by his alter ego Gareth Miller, stepped onto the battlefield, a wave of confusion swept over the defenders.

Sir William and Marshal Roland exchanged puzzled glances, uncertain about which manifestation of their lord held the true power. The chaos on the battlefield seemed to intensify as the defenders and General Cedric's forces momentarily paused, observing this enigmatic development.

"Y-you! how did you still alive, where Inquisitor Ardian Kennedy and Priestess Isabella?" General Cedric yell at Ren.

"Heh, what do you think? I think you already know what happened to your comrade, if I am already here safe and sound then you know the answer." Ren sneer and answered his question without telling him exactly what happened to them, which made him uncomfortable.

"But don't worry, you'll see your comrade very soon." As soon as Ren and Gareth Miller enter the battlefield. Elara and nineteen soldiers have been resurrected, thanks to the level 6 resurrection technique, Ren now feels unstoppable.

Sir William and Marshal Roland are stunned when they see Elara and nineteen soldiers resurrected. They think their lord is a god.

"Ugh!" Elara slowly stood up, her wounds miraculously healed, and the soldiers who were once lying lifeless on the battlefield now rose alongside her.

The glow of Ren's resurrection technique enveloped them, and the defenders witnessed a scene that defied the laws of nature.

"W-what happened, how am I still alive?"

"I'm sure my head just got decapitated!"

Elara and the resurrected soldiers looked around in confusion, trying to make sense of their newfound existence. The defenders, witnessing this miraculous turn of events, were filled with awe and disbelief.

Ren, accompanied by Gareth Miller, approached General Cedric with an air of confidence. The two personas of Ren seemed to complement each other, creating an intimidating presence on the battlefield.

"Royal Dog, you and your army wantonly killed my people and destroyed my fiefdom, now you will pay the price, the House of Miller will always pay its debts!" Ren declared, his voice ringing with authority.

General Cedric, though momentarily taken aback by the unexpected turn of events, quickly regained his composure. He glared at Ren and Gareth Miller with a mix of anger and defiance.

"You think a cheap trick like resurrection can save you? I'll crush you both, and no amount of magic will change that!" General Cedric spat, raising his sword for another assault.

"Hah... what a fucking retard, you still cope that you can kill me? fucking pathetic." Ren's voice, filled with disdain, cut through the air as he dismissed General Cedric's threats.
