Chapter 46 - Task

Despite the explanations from Ren and Gareth, the atmosphere in the city hall remained tense. The citizens and officials were torn between loyalty to their leader and concerns about the aggressive policies being laid out.

Marshal Roland spoke up, "Milord Ren, I understand the need for immortality by destroying the world's foundation and replacing the world's will, but perhaps a more measured approach to foreign relations would be wise. We could seek alliances with like-minded nations and gradually introduce our ideals, rather than declaring hostility to everyone.

Ren disagree with his Marshal because he is too naive. "Marshal Roland, in this world, there is no politics without interests, so when our interests collide with organizations, religions and countries, what happens?"

"The answer is obvious, they will attack us, first they will embargo our nation, second they will challenge our status quo, and finally they will form a coalition to defeat us."

Ren's response resonated with a somber truth, and the gravity of the situation settled in the minds of those present in the city hall. Marshal Roland, though he maintained a stern expression, nodded in acknowledgment of the harsh reality.

Ren continued. "If we want to pursue immortality, then we need to force them to hand over their divine authority, do you think they will give it to us willingly?"

Ren's words hung heavy in the air, and a hushed silence fell over the city hall. The assembled citizens and officials grappled with the weight of the decisions being made, and Ren's unyielding stance on pursuing immortality through the acquisition of divine authority left little room for compromise.

Marshal Roland, while understanding the necessity of strength in the face of potential threats, still harbored concerns about the aggressive approach. "Milord Ren, I agree that obtaining divine authority may not come without resistance. However, must we actively provoke conflict with every nation and organization to achieve our goals? Is there no way to navigate these waters diplomatically, at least initially?"

Ren, resolute in his convictions, responded, "Diplomacy has its place, but we cannot rely on it alone, especially when dealing with matters of such magnitude. The acquisition of divine authority is not a negotiation, it is a conquest. We must be prepared to face opposition, and if that means confronting those who hold the keys to immortality, then so be it."

Gareth added, "The current world order is built on the foundation of those who hold divine authority. To challenge and reshape that order, we must be willing to confront the powers that be. It's a path fraught with peril, but it's the only way to break free from the chains that bind us."

The citizens and officials exchanged uneasy glances. Ren's vision for Oscana Principality was one of radical change, and the sacrifices and challenges that lay ahead were becoming increasingly apparent.

"Elara, bring our people who are already dead because of this war, bring their bodies to the town hall, I will resurrect them all."

Elara, understanding Ren's command. "As your command, milord." nodded and quickly left the city hall to carry out his orders.

"Sir William, I want you to rebuild the city, mobilize our entire army to rebuild the city."

Sir William, showing unwavering loyalty, responded with a firm salute. "As you command, milord, we will rebuild the city just like before."

"Marshal Roland, I need you to continue training our citizen to become an anti mage."

Marshal Roland, though still grappling with the weight of the decisions made, saluted and responded with determination. "Milord Ren, as always, our forces will be prepared to face any threat. We will ensure that our citizens are trained to become formidable anti-mages to defend Oscana Principality."

Ren acknowledged the commitment of his loyal followers and he look at his alter ego Gareth. "How was it?"

Gareth Miller sneered. "Heh, not bad, after we resurrect your citizen, sorry, our citizen, we start our plan to make a new religion, but first what will our religious system be like?"

Ren, contemplating the question, leaned forward. "Our religious system should embody the principles of chaos and liberation. We shall call it 'Chaos Enlightenment.' The chaotic energy that runs through our veins will be the guiding force, and the pursuit of immortality will be the central tenet."

Gareth nodded approvingly. "A fitting name. We'll emphasize the rejection of the old world order, where divine authority controls the fate of the masses. In Chaos Enlightenment, every individual will have the power to shape their own destiny, free from the chains of mortality."

Ren continued, "Our religious leaders will be known as 'Enlightened Guides.' They will be tasked with spreading the teachings of Chaos Enlightenment and overseeing the rituals that harness chaotic energy. We'll build a network of temples dedicated to the pursuit of enlightenment and the unlocking of our people's true potential."

Gareth added, "The symbols of our faith will be the chaotic energy itself, intertwined with ancient symbols representing freedom and rebellion. Through our religious system, we'll unite the people under a common cause, and our pursuit of immortality will be the driving force that binds us together."

Ren laughed, he already sees it in the future that his skill will be the key to spreading his religion. "With my skill, even ordinary people will have extraordinary power if they worship me, first they will have aura health point regeneration and second they will have chaotic energy regeneration, which will turn them into an anti mage, as for resurrection they need to get close to us."

Gareth agreed. "Well, thanks to your system, this will be our advantage, unlike the old world order, ordinary people cannot become mages or even knights."

Ren nodded in agreement with Gareth. "Exactly, Gareth. Our Chaos Enlightenment will democratize power. No longer will the few hold the keys to extraordinary abilities. Every individual, through their devotion, will have access to the chaotic energy that flows through the universe. This will not only strengthen our followers but also ensure their loyalty."

Gareth smirked. "And those who oppose us will find themselves on the wrong side of chaos. With the power of our religion, we will reshape the world according to our vision."
