Strength was his main focus, as it boosted his health point, damage and defense, he glanced at the Intelligence attribute, which was still at the minimum level, he shrugged, knowing that it was not very useful for his warrior class.

But he had a plan. He would spend his next attribute point on Intelligence after his Strength 100 point.

After thinking for while his buff worn off

"Damn, this skill is quite strong, and now I no longer get stunned or die after using it." He felt a surge of satisfaction and happiness for taking the anti-magic path, since he didn't get any downside from using the Blood Pact.

"Now I Should help the villager to suppress the chaotic energy." Ren said firmly, looking at the villager who were get control by chaotic energy.

"Hahaha" Villager A.

"Die! Die! Die!" Villager B.

He approached the villagers affected by chaotic energy and extended his hands to their head and suppress the chaotic energy.

Slowly, the villagers' manic expressions started to fade, and their aggressive actions began to subside.

He observed the positive changes in the villagers. The once hostile glares turned into confused expressions as they gradually regained control of themselves.

"Huh? What happened? Where am I?" Villager A shook his head, looking around in bewilderment.

Villager B, who was previously chanting aggressively, now blinked in confusion. "Why was I saying those things? It's like a fog lifted from my mind."

Ren smiled, relieved to see the calming effect of his skill. The chaotic energy still lingered, but with his continued efforts, he was gradually able to suppress its influence on the villagers.

"Stay calm, everyone. You were affected by chaotic energy, but you're safe now," Ren reassured the bewildered villagers.

Ren continued his efforts to suppress the chaotic energy affecting the villagers, moving from person to person, after helping everyone, he asks the villagers to gather.

Ren gathered the villagers in the center of the village, and then he addressed them. "Some of you may be wondering why your mind has become blurred and why you somehow feel anger. I will answer your question." He spoke with a clear and confident voice, as he explained the situation.

"The cause of your confusion and aggressive behavior was the chaotic energy that infiltrated the village. It's a force that can manipulate and disturb the thoughts and emotions of those it touches." He gestured with his hands, as if drawing the shape of the energy.

"The chaotic energy cannot be eliminated, it can only be harnessed." He clenched his fist, showing his determination.

"The chaotic energy is like a river. We humans cannot stop nature, but we can control the river. We can build dams, waterwheels, bridges, and even change the course where the water will flow." He used his other hand to illustrate his analogy.

"To control chaotic energy is to turn ourselves into an anti-mage." He pointed at himself, as he revealed his identity.

"There may be another way, but this is the only one I know." He shrugged, as he admitted his ignorance.

"But before we continue how to become a anti mage, first I will ask you where the head village?"

One of villager said: "After we wake up from madness, we immediately search for our family including head village and we found that he already ...".

Ren didn't let the villager finish his word and he ask again. "I see, did he have a child to succeed his job as head village?"

The villager shook his head, his eyes filled with sadness. "No, he didn't. He was a widower, and his only son died in a raid by the bandits a few years ago. He had no other relatives in the village."

Ren frowned, feeling sorry for the head village. "Let's not dwell on the past. We have to focus on the present and the future, first, as Baron of Oscana, I will choose one of you to become new head village."

Ren's words hung in the air as the villagers absorbed the information. Whispers and murmurs circulated among them as they considered the responsibility and potential challenges that came with being the new head villager.

A middle-aged woman stepped forward, her gaze determined. "Milord, I may not be the strongest or the wisest, but I've lived here all my life. I know the people, their needs, and their dreams. If you think I'm worthy, I'll take on the responsibility of being the head villager."

Ren nodded, recognizing the sincerity in her eyes. "What's your name?"

"I'm Maria," she replied with a small but confident smile.

Ren addressed the gathered villagers, "Maria seems like a good choice. However, this decision affects everyone. If anyone has reservations or other suggestions, speak now."

No one spoke against Maria's candidacy. The villagers, having seen Ren's efforts to help them, seemed to trust his judgment. Ren turned to Maria, "You have my support, Maria, now kneel."

Maria knelt before Ren, a mix of gratitude and determination in her eyes. Ren placed his hand on her shoulder, a symbolic gesture of support.

"Today, I, Gareth Miller, Lord of the Barony of Oscana, give you a new name, Maria Braveheart."

"Maria Braveheart, from this moment onward, you are the head villager of Oscana. Lead with wisdom, compassion, and strength. Our community looks to you for guidance, and I trust that you will serve them well."

The villagers, though still recovering from the effects of chaotic energy, applauded in agreement. Maria stood, her posture now one of responsibility and leadership.

"Thank you, Milord. I will do my best to lead our village and ensure its prosperity," Maria said with conviction.

Ren felt a sense of accomplishment and relief as he witnessed Maria's acceptance of her new role. The villagers, too, seemed reassured by the appointment, and a new wave of hope washed over the community.

Ren raised his hand, signaling for silence. He looked around and said, "Now we will begin training to become an anti-mage.

City Hall.

Serilda reached the City Hall, panting from the exertion of navigating through the chaos and the tension of the battle between Darius and Ren. She burst into the mayor's office, finding him huddled with his advisors, discussing the escalating situation.

"Insolent!" The knight shouted, drawing his sword and pointing it at Serilda. His face was red with anger and his eyes glared at the intruder.

"Who are you to dare to break into city hall?" The merchant demanded, his voice trembling with fear and indignation. He clutched his bag of gold and moved behind the mayor's desk, hoping for some protection.

Mayor Eldric stood up from his chair, his expression a mix of surprise and curiosity. He gestured for the knight to lower his sword and addressed Serilda, "Wait, let her speak. What brings you here in such haste?"

Serilda took a moment to catch her breath before explaining the dire situation outside. "Mayor Eldric, I bring urgent news. Baron Gareth has gone mad, the reason entire Oscana fiefdom turn into madness is because he uses Blood Pact and the dark energy turn everyone around him to become crazy."

The mayor's face turned pale as he processed the information. He looked at his advisors and then back at Serilda. "That brat? Are you sure? This is unbelievable!"

Serilda nodded firmly. "I saw it with my own eyes, although I don't know how he did it, but after he used his Blood Pact, the dark energy around him became too intense as the people who are driven mad by dark energy, not only that, his killing intent and bloodlust became too heavy."

Serilda continued, her voice trembling with fear and anger. "But the dark energy didn't seem to make him lose control like the people who were affected by it. That means he can control that dark energy and he knows how to use it." She clenched her fists.

The knight, still skeptical, asked, "How do we know this woman is telling the truth? She could be a spy or an accomplice."

Serilda raised an eyebrow, unimpressed by the knight's suspicion. "Do you think I would risk my life to come here and lie about something so serious? Check the situation outside if you doubt me.
