Me and Krea screamed and I thought about attacking it with my nails, but these babies were only for opening tough stuff, failing miserably to tear us out of the bus.
I heard a loud bang and saw a big dent where the bang came from. The bus metal shifted, trying to hold it back, but another one bore a hole this time. The 360° neck monster turned its body towards the hole without moving its staring head at us and went through like it was made of spaghetti. I heard it scream.
There was a crunching sound like its vertebrae was being mushed together. Me and Krea looked at each other wide-eyed on the floor, which was actually the ceiling.
The bus wasn't moving anymore, except its spinning wheels in the air, and then I saw nothing. There was nothing but blackness, and then I felt a tap on my shoulder. I tried to get up but I just couldn't move. It did feel nice right here. I couldn't think of anything to say…
I felt something slimy and it smelled super pungent. I thought my nose was going to fall off. Ew. I slowly chewed something that tasted like the grossest thing ever. I immediately woke up. My senses were on hyper alert. My sandy highlights were waving and I thought I felt my nails growing.
I cried when I saw my parents sitting on a bus seat next to me and Krea was sitting down in a seat too with her hands twiddling, eyes looking hypnotic. She was slightly glowing.
"Zi." A strong voice said.
I looked at my dad.
My mom took my hand and gave me a smile. "Hunny, are you okay?" Her curly hair was in a golden bun with black highlights that had little strands waving around.
I looked around. The interior of the bus was back to normal again and I could see out the window. We were among trees somewhere. I looked puzzled because apparently my parents saved us. Did my dad throw those punches? I knew we all were Velcros but I never saw them in action. Well I saw my dad lifting heavy weights that I couldn't even dream of lifting. Well okay.
I did in fact feel soo much better. Whatever they gave me, it worked! I nodded my head.
"Is the monster gone?" I asked.
"Yes" they both said.
My dad pulled something out of his pocket. It was a pair of glasses! They had purple lenses, which were so cute! He handed them to me and I tried them on.
"I made these for you, Zi. I hope you like them."
My vision didn't change, but I knew they were for my dizzy spells.
"These should help." my mom said nodding.
Krea said "they look nice on you!" and gave me a big grin. She scratched her head and looked out the window, shuddered, then looked back at me. She looked back to normal.
"Thanks!" I grinned. "I love them they're great!" I said looking at my mom and dad.
They were so cute together. He had a twig in his hair. I also wanted to get out of this bus. The after effects from this whole bus drama made me want to throw up at how ugly the monster looked.
"Can we go home now?"
We all exited the bus and went on our merry way. I saw my parents glance back at Krea… That's when I definitely knew something was up with her and my mind won't playing tricks.
Krea told me that she wanted to write a book about the incident. I told her that that was a bad idea. I was so freaked out. I was never attacked by a mystic being before. I told her to write about her 3D artwork. We both laughed nervously, reflecting back on what happened, happy we are still alive.
My parents showed up just in time… She drew a picture of the ugly and I ripped it up. I wondered about other mysticals out there that were like that bus driver…
My parents told me there were people that handled them, and my parents were actually on the squad as well. I was surprised, just now knowing what they really did. OMG I thought they were travel agents. They just traveled to beat up crazies!
I don't know what else I may go through, but I guess I will try to prepare for it. My glasses hugged my face nicely. Viewing the world this way was going to be an adjustment, but I was cool with it. The world was prettier, ha!
I was sitting on my swirly patterned beanbag in my room back at my parents place, and pulled my favorite journal out a drawer. The light was shining through my window onto the pretty but worn rug I picked out as a child.
I was going back to campus dorms after my parents informed me more about the mysteries of the world and have helped calm my new hyperactive nerves.
I reached over on my nightstand and got my new glasses. I held them in my hand and marveled at them. My eyes were always good and never thought I would have to wear a pair.
The purple contrasted nicely with the blue paint on my nails! I put these beauties on and the world tinted! This is my fourth day wearing them. I wear them all the time and eat that pungent stuff my parents give me. It's so nasty but it works. I have been able to think and not get dizzy this whole time. I am so happy! What a relief!
My dreams, they are back to normal. Like, they don't mean anything. Sometimes I don't remember them so, I guess I am okay now… I really solved the puzzle!
Krea and I still have fun making our bubblegum mixture! My parents told me to continue with that as well and I sure do not mind! Me and her were talking about making different potions to actually sell to people! The apothecary we visited was great inspiration. It was so beautiful inside! We wanted to do something like that. We wouldn't even have to travel so far then if we have our own stuff! Actually, I have another story to tell about that place in Uniorr.
I wanted to make a potion spell that would make my food taste good no matter what. Like how the pink vials made my macaroni taste awesome! My mom told me some ingredients to get that might help, but I needed to also experiment around. There was a spell I could say too but she said I had to find the exact words for it.
When I got to the apothecary, I really thought it was dancing! I thought if I touched the door, I would be just a jiggling myself, ha! Just when I was about to open the door, I was suddenly inside! It has the most amazing scents! Eye candy everywhere! I got so much stuff before I realized I had to stick to a budget. I definitely needed a job.
Our school break was coming up so Krea and I was planning to do something fun! After that scary incident, it would be good for us to go out. Since I missed some classes, I had to turn in a doctor's note to be excused and do a lot of make up work.
My parents did a good job at protecting us. We weren't hurt except for the ugly image that I sometimes get of that creature. I can't believe Krea drew another picture of it, this time with polka dots to make it pretty. She is hilarious.
I heard an unfamiliar knock at my door. I hopped up out of my swirly beanbag and slowly opened it. My mouth dropped open. I could not believe who it was…
