Celestiel was awoken by the sound of sharp yaps and the heat of the sun in her face.
The first thing she saw was the small creature she had rescued yesterday. It sat on her chest, its big, golden brown eyes staring at her curiously.
In the sun, its eyes looked even more golden.
When it noticed she was awake, it tilted its head, stepping forward to gingerly give her nose a small lick, as if it were greeting her a good morning.
Celestiel chuckled, lifting her hand to pet it. In response, it leaned into the her touch, closing its eyes to enjoy her pets.
Celestiel took the fox in her hands, sitting up. She reached into her bag to have breakfast, noticing her food was shortening.
She needed to find the keeper as soon as possible.
So with that in mind, she fed the fox a few berries, packed up her things and set out once more.
