"My lady, I have your dinner."
Celestiel sat upright in bed, taking the tray from Aletta to begin eating. "What about the King? Any word from him?"
Aletta shook her head and Celestiel's face fell. Since a few days ago when he had accused her of trying to compel him, she hadn't seen him.
It seemed like he was avoiding her.
A week ago, the Sweet Lillian docked at a mysterious, quiet meadow and had been there since.
Celestiel had asked Aletta why but Aletta had no explanation to give. She had planned to ask the king once she saw him again but she hadn't seen him since then.
She found herself getting annoyed. She had told him she hadn't tried to compel him and obviously he didn't believe her! And now had resorted to avoiding her.
It was infuriating how much it bothered her.
Losing her appetite, she set her tray aside. Aletta's eyes slightly widened and she quickly went to the princess' side.
