Chapter 3 - Chapter 3: He Is Awake [Part 2]

[In the continent of Dragons, Iurix.]

On a floating island that housed a large white palace with golden fixtures and engravings, two white-haired women sat at a table in an impressive garden drinking tea. One, had mesmerizing lavender eyes while the others were a vicious ruby red.

Their beauty was unmatched and like their silk hair they both shared the same characteristics as dragons, only the woman with amethyst eyes had four horns instead of two.

"So he is finally awake." The woman with amethyst eyes spoke, a small smile gracing her soft lips as she gazed into her filled cup of tea.

"Who are you talking about?" Questioned the ruby-eyed woman in front of her.

"Hm? No one. Anyway, did you find him yet?" Looking up from her cup she met eyes with the other woman who had a sad yet frustrated look on her unblemished face. Her hair appeared curlier now.

"No. My shadows can't find him and I've even asked Valenthia for help since she has a clan that's specialized for tracking. They haven't had any luck either." The energy around the woman grew chaotic the longer she spoke, a few strands of red lightning even hitting the ground around them causing groups of land to be uprooted.

"Calm down, even if you don't find him he'll find his way home. It's been 17 years, right? He should come here sooner or later because his kind is here." With a wave of her hand, her amethyst eyes glowed as the broken land began to revert to its original state and new flowers grew.

Huffing the other woman slumped in her chair and rested her elbow on the armrest to support her head using her hand as she looked out at the distant view that was filled with various types of dragons flying around. Her ruby eyes showed a dangerous glint which made some of the dragons that were flying feel a chill run down their spine and crash into one another.

"I know but what if he got hurt? I swear if even a strand on his precious head was touched-"

"Enough. We don't want a repeat of when he was taken, do we? Leila and Amriel were almost bedridden from the sheer amount of damage and carnage you caused." She interrupted the woman knowing well what the consequences would be if she let her continue.

When her child was taken the day he was born the woman killed thousands of people and caused a part of the Werewolf continent to be permanently encased in a blizzard. Not to mention that all clans and cities used to be in eight each instead of four.

"If they can't handle that, how can they last in bed? I basically helped them in a way, instead of me thanking them it should be the other way around."

Shaking her head the woman sighed at the others' antics and went back to quietly sipping on her tea.

Standing before the grave of his first friend whom he considered a part of his family, Casen closed his eyes and took in a deep breath. He knew she wouldn't want him to grieve as her time would come at any point and then come to her reincarnation to start anew.

Heaven and Hell were real, so obviously reincarnation was as well. Casen also knew this and so he looked forward to meeting her again, whoever she may be next.

Now came the problem at hand, the inside of his body was a mess. Adams' heart that he ate gave him a new body but it needed a remodel. He already knew the fix which were the hearts, more so the souls contained in them. Essentially he was a soul-eater.

What differentiated him from others was that if a heart was stabbed or cut, that person would lose their life, yes but for Casen their souls would be consumed and used to power his own body. They essentially had no hope for reincarnation. This knowledge came from when he 'woke' up, perhaps from that voice or he always had it stored in his head he just couldn't access it. Whatever the case was, he was thankful.

Since hearts were what he needed for power and the Neutral Continent was currently infested, what better way than to hit two birds with one stone?

But first, he needed rest and a good meal. Luckily for him since Klaymery was practically abandoned at night there were no witnesses to his actions and if there were he just had to take care of them like he should've been doing all along.

Casen walked back to the building where Adam's body lay dead and reached into his pocket to retrieve a key. He remembered him seeing a safe in his office on the second floor when he finished his contracts and so that's where he went.

He could've broken into the safe by prying it open but there were safety runes littered all over it that would detonate what it held inside if forcefully opened.

Inside was a pouch containing 30 pieces of gold with most of it having already been spent previously. He didn't mind though since he planned on obtaining more later. He couldn't use it right now because this city was mainly used for business instead of housing, he'd have to go into the other cities for a possible inn.

Using his wings Casen flew in the direction of Phille. Dragons in the Neutral Continent were extremely rare to see but the fact that they did make appearances made it easier for him to move around without worry. Eventually arriving he landed in front of an inn and walked inside to pay for a room and a meal that consisted of only raw meat. He no longer felt an appetite for cooked food.
