"My Aarab!! Who is this Aarab again?"
I asked her who the man she was talking about.
"You do not know?"
She was surprised I did not know anything.
"No" I was completely blank.
"He is the one you bumped into at the end of the first day of college. Ugh, he is so handsome! I just love him. Ugh! What a style. So smart. You know, he is the son of a famous & rich business man. I am completely crazy about him."
Meera tries to recall my memory.
"Oh. That boy?"
I replied to her with a sigh.
"Hmmm. What did you just say to this Nuba? He is so handsome and You just react to it with a simple "Oh" ?"
Upon hearing my reply Meera was shocked.
"So? What to do? Should I dance?"
I felt irritated and I made a joke with her.
"No. Let's see the result."
Meera understood that I was not interested in that Aarab. She somehow manage to ignore it.
"Yes, let's go.
I also play along with her.
There were lots of students who came to see their results. Some of them were happy and some of them Disappointed. We somehow manage to get in the crowd and see our results. After seeing the result board, Meera screamed in joy.
"Yes!Yes! I got 3rd position."
"Mira, Miraaaa Im in 1st position. Oh! God! Thank you so much!"
I'm also happy to get 1st position. I did not expect it though. So, I thanked God 1st.
"Nuba, I am really happy today. Today we should celebrate."
Meera suggested that we should celebrate our brilliant result. I nodded.
"A crazy one." I smiled to see her reactions.
She started dancing and suddenly noticed something and stopped.
"What happened, Meera?
I asked her curiously.
"Nuba, why is it so crowded there?"
She pointed out to me that some students were crowded.
"I don't know. I have no idea."
I replied to Meera as I knew nothing.
"Let's go and see."
While saying that she rushed to go there.
Then we two went in after pushing a lot of people in the crowd. Mira looks happy & she starts screaming!
"Nuba, Nuba! Arab achieved 1st position, I said that no one wouldn't be 1st except Arab."
"Hmm."
I replied to her with a nod and I was looking at Aarab because Aarab was already present there but Meerra did not notice.
Aarab was also looking at me.
"What's the matter? Why are the juniors here?
Aarab looked angry. I felt that he was not happy that we were here to see his result.
"Umm....No, I came to wish you."
Meera was happy and excited. She thought Aarab knew her ,so it won't be any problem.
"Oh, today the result was given to you too. Did you pass it?
Aarab asked her with a cold voice. He narrowed his eyes. Everyone present there was laughing a lot. Mira got a little shy.
"No!. I Mean."
Meera could not say any other words. She felt so helpless.
"What did you mean? You failed?"
Aarab Teased her. He came near Meera and looked at me with a frown.
Everyone laughed again. Mira kept her head down. She felt so humiliating.
"Sorry to say, Mr. Aarab! We're not a failure. We're top students in our class. So, never underestimate us! Let's go, Mira. We should leave now."
I replied to him with a grin. Aarab looked at Me in surprise. I was taking Meera's hand by force.
"How dare you girl? You behave rudely in front of our Aarab! Apologies to him. Now!"
A senior girl grabbed my hand and stopped me. And she also wanted me to apologize to Aarab.
"Rikaaaa! Wait. So miss....You.....?"
Aarab screamed by calling the senior girls by her name and also asked demanned to know my name. He behaved as if he did not know my name before. While asking my name Aarab came so close to me that I forcefully stepped backward.
"Nuba." My name is Nuba.
I replied to him confidently. And now I stepped forward.
"Nuba! So, you are Miss Nuba."
Aarab slightly raised his eyebrows. Then he smirk and said,
"Miss Nuba! You have lots of confidence. I must appreciate you. You always avoid me from the first day we met."
"I have no interest in you. And in the future I will not fall for you either. By the way, thank you for your compliment."
I replied to him with a playful look and also thanked him. And I was about to leave with Meera from there but Aarab came in front of me and said,
"I think you know we have our annual cultural and sports competition right in front of us. I challenged you to top all three events. If I lose, I will apologize to Meera! And if you lose, you will have to stand in the sun for 8 hours on the college field."
Meera and I exchanged our looks. Meera seems to be confused about Aarab's behavior. Rika and some other students seemed to enjoy our humiliation.
"Oh. It will be great fun."
Tina exclaimed with joy and she seemed to enjoy it the most.
"Yes."
Aarab nodded with her.
"I accept your challenge. You will be the one who apologizes to Meera.
By saying that I left the place with Meera.
"Evil boy! I will punish him. Meera you don't need to fear. We'll be fine."
I assured Meera that we will be fine.
"But I heard that whoever the junior section team wins the three events of the annual sports game, he or she must have to play with the winner of the three events of the senior section team!"
Meera gave some unexpected information about the annual sports. I didn't know about it and accepted the challenge.
"What!?"
"What a fool I am!" I mumbled to myself.
"Yes! Will you do it, Nuba?"
Meera asked with concerned.
"Trust me. I will win. Well today I have to go now, I have urgent work. Byee."
I replied to Meera and took a leave.
"Byeee. Be careful."
Meera replied and nodded.
Meera's POV:-
"How much trouble Nuba will have to suffer for me! I am really a stupid!"
She mumbled to herself.
