Chapter 2 - CHAPTER 2: TIME TO GRIND

Life is very much full of surprises that we had to face it head on.

Just then, the door creaked open, and in walked a chubby woman with green hair tied into a spiky ponytail, a warm smile on her face. It was Inko Midoriya, my supposed mother in this new world.

"Izuku, honey, it's time to wake up—oh, you're already awake!"

I was stunned, but I quickly masked my surprise. If this was my new reality, I had to ensure she didn't notice anything amiss. From Midoriya's memories, I knew I was 13 years old and attending Aldera Junior High, the same school as my supposed best friend, Katsuki Bakugo. I had one year before the start of the anime.

I smiled at her. "Good morning, Mom. I just woke up, so I'm going to the bathroom to take a shower."

"Okay, dear. Do you need anything else?"

"No, Mom. I'll see you at the table."

After speaking with her, I went to the bathroom and quickly stripped off my clothes. To my shock, I noticed burn marks all over Izuku's body. And when I looked between his thighs, my eyes widened in surprise. Well, this guy is blessed.

After a brief moment of admiration, I hopped in the shower, brushed my teeth, dressed up, and headed to the kitchen for a quick talk with my mom. After finishing breakfast and packing my stuff, I said goodbye and started walking to school, guided by Izuku Midoriya's memories.

On my way to Aldera Junior High, I thought about what I knew from the anime and manga. *One for All* was a quirk accidentally created by All for One when he gave his quirkless brother a quirk that could stockpile unused energy, enhancing the user's body. Unbeknownst to him, his brother Yoichi Shigaraki had a quirk that could transfer his power to others. The two quirks merged, creating One for All.

Knowing that his quirk alone wasn't strong enough to defeat All for One, Yoichi transferred it, hoping future users would end his brother's reign of terror. Over nine generations, One for All grew stronger, accumulating the quirks of its past users. But there was a problem: if someone with a quirk inherited it, their lifespan would shorten, and their body would deteriorate. Only quirkless individuals could wield it without this drawback. The current holder was Toshinori Yagi, known as All Might, the eighth user of One for All.

I know what happens in seasons 1 through 6, the three movies, and the ongoing manga. I've even read some fanfiction. I'm familiar with Class 1-A, Class 1-B, the League of Villains, and many other characters. But I'm not sure if my knowledge is accurate. What if this universe isn't the same as the canon?

I have to be careful. One wrong move, and I'm screwed. That's not what I want.

Should I follow the canon or forge my own path? I don't mind becoming a hero, but I'm aware of the hardships I'll face. What if I make a mistake that costs many lives? I'm just a normal person with knowledge of the future.

Being in this position is daunting. The responsibility of knowing the future and being the main character destined to become the greatest hero is immense. But part of me yearns to change this corrupted society, even if it means sacrificing myself to protect this world.

The words of a web-slinging hero echoed in my mind: "With great power comes great responsibility." My knowledge of this universe is my great power, and it's my responsibility to create a brighter future for its people and future generations. With this resolve, I continued my journey to school.

After two hours, I arrived at Aldera Junior High. Having already completed middle school in my previous life, I was confident in my academic abilities. Izuku Midoriya was smart, and I could easily maintain high grades. But the students here bullied and beat him relentlessly. Even the teachers and principal did nothing to help him, branding him as a troublemaker.

Entering the building, I found my classroom. Everyone was busy talking, ignoring me. I quietly took my seat, lost in thought.

While the teacher lectured, my mind wandered to my plans. I needed a diet and exercise regimen to strengthen my body for One for All. Without proper preparation, I risked severe injury or death.

I'd research technology to create powerful items. An arc reactor like Iron Man's could power my machines and provide electricity. I'd also need a secret base to work on these projects. Getting materials would require some shady, though not illegal, methods.

I'd compile a list of characters, their quirks, strengths, weaknesses, and strategies to counter or neutralize them. If this universe deviated from the canon, I needed contingency plans.

The bell rang, and I quickly left the classroom, avoiding interaction with anyone, especially Bakugo and his lackeys.

Using my phone, I searched for abandoned buildings to train in. After an hour, I found a suitable location: a spacious, camera-free basement in an abandoned warehouse. I texted my mom, explaining I'd be home late. Since it was the weekend, I had time to set up a makeshift gym.

I crafted dumbbells from water bottles and pipes, secured with duct tape. I welded sturdy pipes into a pull-up bar and fashioned cable weights from chains and heavy water bottles. A punching bag made from heavy tires completed my gym.

Every morning at 4 a.m., I'd wake up, take a cold shower, brush my teeth, and eat a healthy breakfast prepared by Mom. I'd wear a black hoodie and sweatpants and run two miles, increasing the distance by one mile each week. After the run, I'd shower, dress in my uniform, and head to school, wearing homemade weights on my limbs.

On weekends, I trained in my gym, doing exercises like squats, deadlifts, bench presses, pull-ups, and more. I incorporated flexibility exercises like yoga and stretching. After a month, my body became lean and muscular, standing at 168 cm. I even cut my messy green hair into an undercut.

I studied martial arts online, learning Brazilian jiu-jitsu, muay thai, boxing, kickboxing, and judo. I kept my grades high, always staying at the top of my class.

At school, my new look and demeanor surprised everyone, especially Bakugo. When he and his lackeys tried to bully me, I easily defeated them. After the thirteenth beating, they finally stopped.

With my newfound resolve and strength, I was ready to face whatever challenges lay ahead in this world.

(A/N: I was planning on making him act as a weakling so they see different about him, but since a lot of people will notice the changes why not reveal some of his new self.)
