Chapter 46 - Chapter 45: Zephyrus: Creation Sub Skill Called Replication

I already tried summoning skills when Raiden and I fought. It drained my mana, and since Devourer was not an option, I needed to think about something.

[Notice: Summoning varies to who you summoned; the stronger you summoned, the more mana you will use]

So, in other words, should I summon someone weaker than the magic eater I summoned before?

[Answer: Correct]

"For some reason, I'm getting a strange vibe from you. It's starting to concern me, so I'll have to kill you now." Saying this, the Dragon began to breathe in.

Shit!

I turned around and started running back to the house.

The Dragon then shot its fire breath at me. I kept running and running, but the fire caught up with me before I could escape.

The good news is, my shield held up. But the bad news was the bridge wasn't. I heard the ropes that helped the bridge begin to snap, and I figured I only had a few seconds before the whole thing collapsed.

I returned to the other side and left the bridge before completely collapsing.

Phew, that was too close.

"How interesting," the Dragon muttered while flapping his wings.

He then flew up into the sky and landed near me. I couldn't help but try to escape, but I couldn't.

"I've never seen a Summon that uses shields and runs like a scaredy cat. The Summon I faced before faced my fire blast breath and didn't even flinch even if he was burning alive. You're doing something interesting, doing the opposite of what I expected of a Summon. You're turning into an interesting and annoying insect…but also a nuisance as well!" the Dragon roared.

The Dragon seemed irritated and slammed his giant dragon hand down atop me. Fortunately, my shield was still working.

"What!? That's impossible!" The Dragon was perplexed that my shield was protecting me. He roared out of frustration and slapped his hands multiple times repeatedly, but my shield was doing its job protecting me.

Idiot Bruno, thanks to my Warrior rage, the more you physically slam your gigantic hands on my shield, the tougher it becomes!

I looked at summoning skill information but still couldn't find anyone I could summon.

Suddenly, I heard a crack that came from my shield.

Huh? What the-

[Notice: Warrior Rage is an active skill. Using it as strengthening the shield has disabled]

What!? You should have told me that as soon as possible!

Shit, this thing isn't going to last much longer, but I haven't found someone I could summon yet!

If I don't do anything, the Dragon will burn me, and the possibility of being his snack is high! I need plan B!

[Answer: Summoning]

Hell no! I need to stay awake or become this idiot's snack.

[Answer: You can summon lesser creatures that are present in this place. For example, the dead ones]

Ha? Are you serious? Why, in the name of Goddesses, would I summon the dead? Anything but that!

 [...]

Oh, Cherubim, don't give me that attitude!

[Answer: Fine. Use replication]

And what is that for?

[Answer: Creation sub ability. You can think what you want to replicate and use the summoning skills to make them appear]

Oh! That's perfect!

I immediately thought of something that could defeat the Dragon. And when I think of someone who could stand on Dragon's fire, I immediately imagine it and activate my Summoning Magic.

Suddenly, a medium, consisting of a yellow circle, appeared before me.

"Alright! Replicate metal Golems! Come forth!"

"A magic circle?! Oi, what are you planning, Coward Summon?! That's not fair. You're using magic when all I know Summons are Physical-based skills!"

"Silence! I'm sick of you saying Summons that, Summons there! I am me. I'm a unique Summon! One of a kind!"

This made the Dragon furious, and he roared once again.

Two metal golems emerged from the magic circle. The Golems were shorter than the Dragon, but I believe in them.

"Golems? Do you think that those things can stop me? Are you mocking me!?" the Dragon screamed at me.

The Dragon got really enraged and breathed fire on the metal golems. But nothing happened aside from my golems glowing in reddish color. After the Dragon stopped blowing his fire, my golems stood in the same place as if nothing happened.

Seeing this, the Dragon's eyes bulged in shock.

"T-that's impossible!"

The Dragon was frustrated and tried to breathe fire again to get my golems to melt.

"Oi Dragon! You're wasting your time trying to burn them! They are not simple golems, for your information. They were not affected by your fire," I told him.

"What did you say?!"

"I said your fire can't affect them other than making them piping hot golems. They can withstand your fire. They are made of earth's finest metal called stainless steel!" I replied.

"Earth what? You-!"

"Golems! Attack the Dragon, but make sure his body is still intact. We need him whole," I ordered the Golems.

The metal golems obeyed my command and attacked the Dragon. One created a steel spear, and the other was a sword. The spear user aimed its spear at the Dragon's head. The Dragon moved in an attempt to dodge the spear; one of the three last spikes pierced his left eye.

The blood came from the pierced eye dropped on the ground.

"You specs of dirt! I'll burn you alive!"

The Dragon was about to attack again until I made another move.

"Bring the Dragon down! Aim the wings!"

The spear golem created four spears, two of each hand, and aimed at the Dragon's wings. Since the Dragon could barely see, it couldn't move to dodge the attack. The spears tore off the Dragon's cloth-like wings, making him lose his balance and drop to the ground.

The sword Golem then ran towards the Dragon, aiming its head for a clean cut.

"D-damn y-" With those final words, the Dragon was completely beheaded by the Golem, and his lifeless body sprawled on the ground.

When the metal golems confirmed that the Dragon was dead, they disappeared. Maybe it was because they completed their job.

Once the golems left, I collapsed on the ground, breathing heavily. I can't believe I fought a dragon without using any of my active skills. How do fantasy characters handle this kind of stuff?

"M-mister?"

Huh? Someone spoke behind me, and when I turned around, a man, no, a beast folk who looked exactly like a younger version of Leo, was standing behind me. He was all bones and barely could stand up.

"W-who are you?!"

A sudden sound of stomach growling came from his stomach startled us.

"I'm hungry. Do you have some food with you?"

I ended up cutting a few slices of Dragon meat and decided to Roast it. Even though we didn't have salt to add flavor to the meat, the young beastfolk gobbled it like it was the most delicious food he had ever tasted.

"So, who are you?" I asked him after he burped, indicating he was full.

"My name is Leland. And who are you too? I saw you suddenly appearing on that top of the statue over there," he said as he looked at the Dragon's carcass.

"My name is Troy. I came from Levaerûn."

"Levaerûn?"

Leland eyes become interested.

"Yes. Do you know that town?"

"It's the town where my older brother went to! Do you perhaps have met him? His name is Leonidas."

Why am I not surprised that this beastfolk was Leo's younger brother?

"Yes. He's working under me now," I replied.

Leland's eyes become teary.

"Thank goodness. I thought he didn't make it. The barrier was too powerful to even allow us to leave this place. But I'm glad brother is safe."

Mister Heizou mentioned mw before that Leonidas was actually a slave who escaped from his owner.

"Uhm, is it okay if I ask you something?"

"Sure," Leland replied.

"If Leo escaped this place, why didn't you go with him?"

"I don't have any magic in me. If I pass the barrier, I'll be pulverized. Besides, I don't want to hinder my big brother's dream. He already suffered so much because of me."

"But does Leo know you're still alive?"

"No," he replied. It's a good thing he'll never know that I'm still alive; otherwise, he'll come back to this hell-hole nation. I don't want that to happen."

"What happened to this nation's place, and who was that statue?"

"Ah," he said and stood up. "This place used to be the Zephyrus's Capital city, Eos. These ruins you see were the house of the Caelum and where the Wind Dragon resided," Leland explained. "And that statue over there was him."

I followed what he was saying and observed the statue. Now that I had time to look at it, the statue looked like a man with long hair.

"What exactly happened here? Raiden told me that this Nation was closed for a long time."

"You also know Raiden?"

"Uh, yeah? Why were you so surprised?"

"Raiden was the head priestest of the seven elemental Nations. She was the bridge of the seven sovereigns."

"Seven Sovereigns?"

"The seven strongest dragons ruled the elemental continent hundreds of years ago."
