Chereads / The Amethyst Swordsman / Chapter 2 - Chapter 2

Chapter 2 - Chapter 2

In the world of this novel where swords and magic were way superior to guns people were categorized by Ranks with the lowest being G- rank and the highest recorded rank reaching SSSS- achieved by the previous hero who slayed the demon king.

There were three phases in a rank > For example a person who is G rank would start with a G- then have to break through to G rank and then the next breakthrough would elevate them to G+ rank ,the peak of G rank, then could they finally reach the F- rank after having one more breakthrough. Typically a breakthrough from one rank to another (for ex: E+>>>D-) would be considerably harder than breaking through to the next phase of the same rank (for ex: D->>>D or D>>>D+).

In this world there were weapon styles known as 'Arts'. They were categorized into 6 categories, these categories were denoted by stars with the highest category of Arts being 6-Stars which couldn't be bought by money. These arts were said to be so rarely found that it wouldn't be a exaggeration to say that one of these were sometimes not even found for decades. "The protagonist of this novel Kevin Elsher had a 5 and a 6 star art if I remember correctly, talk about being Overpowered as fuck. According to the novel he found the 6-Star sword art as a kid and absorbed the Art book by accident." I mumbled. "I currently have a 2 and a 3 star sword art, this should be more than enough for the entrance exams. But first if I want to stay alive at the end of this year I will have to start getting stronger.", I planned to reach F rank at minimum before the academy started which would have been extremely difficult or close to impossible by normal means but I knew almost

everything about this world and I was going to exploit that knowledge to become one of the strongest if not the strongest in this world where power meant everything to ensure my and all my loved ones safety and well being while also enjoying life to its utmost fullest.

I seem to have noticed this now but there was no mention of the [Indifference(???)] and the [Plunder(???)] skills in the novel, with their ranks also appearing in question marks I was left with nothing but curiosity about the two weird skill's existences that appeared in my status window. Thinking that I'd test them both out later I started getting ready to go out to check what I could do with my current stats.

I had all the memories of the previous Allen Levine so I bid my parents goodbye with a warm smile. I left the house and thought of going to 'That place' first as it was one of the safest places I could visit being a G+ rank. I boarded a train and took a ride to the Alpine Forest. As it was a G rank area with few monsters and I would also find 'THAT' here.

At the entrance I was stopped by a guard who made sure I was of a suitable rank before entering to ensure my safety. I remembered that in the novel the person who found it travelled to the east of the forest. I started travelling to the east. After walking for some time I heard rumbling in the bushes so I took out my sword and stood there alert. It was a G rank monster. Looking at it closely it was a Hound. I quickly stepped forward not giving it a chance to attack "Illusion Swordsmanship 'Third style' {Trinity Fake}" and my sword reached the hound swiftly and divided into three, the hound slashed too jumped into action infusing its claws with a little bit of mana and slashing towards one of the three incoming swords but his attack passed right through the incoming sword as the sword faded turning into crimson

colored light particles and the next moment a with a heavy thud its head fell down from its body decapitated cleanly.

"I see", I muttered with understanding as I confirmed a suspicion I had. 'It seems like ive not only taken over this body I even received Allen Levine's battle senses as well. A brief smile appeared on my face but I soon started heading east again. After some time I came across a cave, yes the cave I was looking for which was covered with numerous engravings on it.

This was actually not a cave but a hidden dungeon. A G+ rank one at that where I would find the thing I was looking for.

'Let's do this' i thought and entered the hidden dungeon with a determined mind.
