Chapter 3 - Chapter 3 The mysterious hidden cave

As i Stepped my foot in the cave numerous marks on it glowed but nothing else happened. After 10 mins of walking in 3 G Rank monsters appeared.

I readied my sword but realised the monsters had not yet sensed me. I also noticed they were quite a distance away. As I got closer to them I saw that there were 3 goblins with short daggers there. I gripped my sword tightly and muttered "Illusion Swordsmanship 'Second style' {Cloning Mirage}" this skill cloned my body multiple times as a illusion but what it didn't show was that I wasn't one of the clones that appeared it allowed me to camouflage myself so I could just wait for the enemy to show a opening and jump on them. As soon as the goblins seemed confused I activated Swift and slashed the goblins throats quickly.

As I had read in the novel the goal of THING I wanted wasn't the reward of this dungeon but It was located just below where the three goblins were patrolling. As I started digging below I grew tired very quickly. "Seems like this is the body's limit" I said but continued digging even after. After digging for a whole half an hour the soil beneath my feet thinned and I suddenly fell down and lost consciousness. After a while when I regained consciousness I opened my eyes slowly and quickly scanned my surroundings to see if I was safe from any danger but to my astonishment there was nothing but complete darkness all around me. After walking for wha seemed to be an eternity I found a grand looking banquet with skeletons all around. "At last I reached here this place exists and it's the same as the novel said" I walked over to the grand entrance and found myself in a treasury. I marveled at all the gold and dreamed of a rich and peaceful life in this new world but quickly abandoned that thought as soon as I remembered the ending of the novel. I headed straight for a structure that had a grand book that was held by a skeleton which looked to be like a warrior that was very powerful.

I grabbed the book and opened it excitedly. It glowed of an amethyst color before it turned into a huge amethyst sphere that got absorbed into my body.

I screamed at the top of my lungs as this was the first time I felt such excruciating pain in my whole life but it didn't stop. After the sphere was fully absorbed in my body I dropped and lost consciousness.

I had a strange dream about my past life and when I was a little kid. How fun the days were and how everything ended so quickly. When I woke up I hurriedly said "status!".

I was so excited I started rolling over the floor. Now I could definitely become one of the strongest in the future if I trained well enough.

There was another reason I went for this broken sword art.I thought It was really cool and it was one of my favourite sword arts from any book that I had read.

Now I know I called the author a dumb twat and ridiculed his work but this power really was that awesome.

With eyes full of hope and my smirking face i decided to go home satisfied with my progress for the day.

I had a faint feeling I was forgetting something but i did not mind and went back home.
