Rip paused and stared back into my eyes as soon as the words had left my mouth. "Then we prepare," he grunted. He walked over to where the two-piece bathroom was hidden next to the panty and opened the mirror cabinet. Taking out a small white box that I hadn't thought about in forever, he brought me the contact lenses.
"I won't take a chance of something happening to you, but if it does and I am not at your side, know that not even death will be able to take me from you," he said as I quickly put in the single brown contact over top of my left eye.
The fighters had loose lips when it came to things or people that they hated. And since I was public enemy number one, any time a person approached them to ask about me, they blabbed everything, including my different colored eyes.
