I was checking the documents that Lewis and Alden had sent me via email this afternoon on the laptop that I was carrying on my right thigh. I haven't touched any of my projects since yesterday because I want to devote all of my attention to her and work on our relationship. Despite her amnesia, I really want to make her happy. I want her to recognize and accept my affection as her husband.
However, I admitted that she had completely taken over my life since our first night together. I can't fight the desire that has arisen within me. Whatever she does always draws me in and makes me want to do it again. I'm glad she's enjoying our marriage at the moment, despite the fact that she has no recollection of her past.
"RREeettt..RReeetttt…RRReeeetttt…" My phone started vibrating after I noticed a group call from Lewis and Alden. I looked at Katelyn briefly to see if she was bothered by the phone call. Katelyn nodded her head and smiled after catching my gaze, as she knew what I was thinking before answering them.
They called to discuss some critical details about our new contract with our new customer. Following the discussion, we continue to talk about some other aspects of our financial and marketing problems. We also need to talk about the people who are involved in each project.
I'm grateful to have them in my life. Friends on whom I can always rely and with whom I am able to share each other's secrets and problems. Friends who I can rely on to handle all of my business matters. As a result of what happened with Katelyn, I desperately need their help right now.
My memories flies back to when the first time I met Lewis in high school. My Dad and Mom started a new branch in another city, so I had to follow them and moved to a new school. The first day, I arrived in the new school as a new student that time Lewis was the first person who helped me to find the principal room and invited me to sit next to him. Ever since then we become friends, understand each other sides, share about may things in life and went through bad or good experiences during high school as be inseparable and proclaim as best friend.
We promised to go to the same university after we graduated and we did it. We took the same major and accepted in the same university actually because of we only registered one major in one university.
The first day of our admission as a new college student, we met Alden. Lewis and I was sitting in the canteen waiting for the ceremony event began when suddenly Alden sat in front of us and introduced himself to us briefly. At first we wonder about it but then we realized apparently all seat were taken except the one in front of us.
We don't know why but surely our brief moment of acquaintance lead us being a best friends through our year of college. We are all in the same major and get along well. We understand each other character, dream, goal in life, point of view and many aspects. Throughout our friendship we support and trust each other back then till now. I am really thankful for the friends God has put around me.
Katelyn rested her head on my left thigh, holding a piece of paper that she was reading intently. I was also relieved to see Katelyn enjoying her work as a writer and adapting well to her new position. I was initially concerned about her job, but it appears that her writing skills and interests have never left her, instead leading her in whatever situation she found herself in. I'm so proud of her and will support whatever she do although she has married me. I'm sure she can be a good wife and be successful in her career as a writer.
I got back to my work after my thought wondering around to the past for a while. I had to finish all my work by today otherwise Alden and Lewis will pursue me in the morning in order to get them done without any excuses. They can't be postponed anymore.
Katelyn's hand moved and hugged my stomach as I was deep in my work. I refocus my attention and focus on her. She must have dozed off while reading. When I saw her adorable expression, I completely forgot about everything and was drawn in. I look into her lovely face, which exudes peace and joy. My lovely wife, who has now fallen into my arms and given me her life. I would crown her queen and make her happy for the rest of her life. I'll keep the promise for the rest of my life.
She should have been exhausted from what all we did this afternoon. I chuckled as I remembered our earlier behavior. I lowered my head and attempted a loving kiss on my wife's head. I placed the laptop on the table and grabbed my wife's body, who didn't seem bothered by the movements. I carried her to our bed and laid her down slowly after making sure she was in my arms. I patted her head and tided her hair back so she will have comfortable sleep. My quilt raised when I saw her peaceful face made me kissed her to express my feeling of gratitude.
As I ended my kiss, she grabbed my neck disturbing my intention to return to my laptop. I fell next to her but fortunately I can hold my body not to fall on her. When I was about to get up, she made another unexpected move. She hugged me tightly like a bolster. I remained silent and let her hug me cause I don't want to disturb her sleep. Finally, I decided to stop working on my laptop instead of enjoyed her hug before falling asleep soundly next to her until the next morning.
