Chapter 30 - Her project

We sat at the table next to each other, as soon as he knew I made the sandwiches, he quickly grabbed one and then took a bite of my homemade sandwich before feeding me with the sandwich he was holding. And so forth, until the sandwiches on the plate are all gone. That time, I also inquired about Ryan's request. Sean stated that Ryan and I have a good and friendly relationship and that we have been working together for a long time. Sean offered to accompany me to meet Ryan and tell him what had happened.

I agreed with Sean's suggestion, responded to Ryan's message, and scheduled a meeting at a restaurant for this afternoon. We both got ready to go to Sean's office because he had told me to come with him because the restaurant was in the opposite direction of our house and Sean's office. I didn't forget to bring the documents related to Katelyn's new project because I'll go over it again in Sean's office later. We got into Uncle Sam's car, hand in hand, and drove to Sean's office.

Throughout the journey, Sean didn't let go of his hand until we got out of the car, entered the lobby and headed for the elevator. When we arrived at the room, Sean let go of his grip because he knew I would go into the room in the secret room. I turned my face and tiptoed my feet before walking in there, seeing my action Sean lowered his face, I immediately grabbed his cheek and kissed Sean on the lips which he immediately responded with a short kiss. We both chuckled together. Sean went to his desk while I went to his secret room.

I chose the sofa there as a place to work while I waited for the time to come by by reading Katelyn's work that she had been working on all this time. She appears to have completed half of the project, and I believe I can finish her work. This job is very similar to what I have as Emily. I was surprised when Sean opened the door to this room because I was so focused on this project. "I'm sorry I startled you, But now it's time to go to the restaurant." He said. I looked at the clock on the wall, which read eleven. Sean drove me to the restaurant early because it was quite far away.

The journey there takes 45 minutes. A restaurant that is quite unique in my opinion. My eyes wandered throughout the restaurant for a moment before someone waved at us. Sean whispered to me "Ryan" while looking at the person who was waving. We walked closer to Ryan and welcomed his hand into ours. In my first impression Ryan look very kind and humble. I stayed quite while Sean began the conversation by telling him what happened.

Ryan stroked his chin, furrowed his eyebrows and finally said, "You make me curious, whether your writing skills are still the same or have they changed." I explained to him that I had studied everything about the new project again and would complete the project on time. Ryan replied, "Okay, but I think it would be best for you to send me the draft you have made so that I can monitor you and help you directly if you encounter difficulties. "I also nodded in agreement with Ryan's suggestion.

The conversation continued with a discussion of other project-related topics such as launch, program promotion, and so on. Ryan elaborates on this because, frankly, I don't understand it and will leave the problem entirely to Ryan as he concurred. We concluded our meeting after reaching many agreements and filling our stomachs.

Uncle Sam drove the car we were riding in back to Sean's office, where he nodded after hearing Alden's message for Sean to get the documents he needed to sign at home. Lewis was standing at the lobby door with several folders in his hand when he arrived. He approached the car we were riding in as soon as it stopped in the parking lot and gently tapped on the window. Sean rolled down the window, and Lewis greeted me briefly when he saw me, to which I only replied with a smile. Then he handed the folder to Sean and reminded him to bring it back the next day. Sean simply raised his brows and rolled back the window glass when Lewis giggled and turned away back towards the lobby.

Katelyn walked into the house and collapsed on the couch, exhausted. Sean continued walking inside and returned with a glass of cold water. He sat next to Katelyn and handed her the glass. Katelyn drank half the contents of the glass and placed it in Sean's mouth, and Sean held it upon Katelyn hand and finished the contents of the glass. They then went into their room to clean up before eating the dinner that Aunt Jen had prepared.

After finishing their dinner, they entered the study. Sean continued working with the folder that Lewis had given him earlier, while Katelyn opened her laptop, then her hands moved nimbly here and there, continuing Katelyn's unfinished writing. The clock read nine o'clock at night. Aunt Jen knocked on the door and entered carrying a tray containing two cups of tea and a bowl containing various types of cutting fruit.

She placed it on the sofa table before exiting the room. Sean and Katelyn came to a halt and looked at each other for a few moments before moving from their spot to the sofa. Katelyn took the cup on the tray and handed it to Sean. They sipped from their respective cups before setting them down.

Katelyn spooned pieces of fruit into Sean's mouth, and her mouth took turns, occasionally commenting on between their activities today and joking with Sean. Sean accepted Katelyn's spoon and in turn fed pieces of fruit into Katelyn's mouth while she was busy telling stories with her hands moving here and there. Sean is overjoyed to see Katelyn now.
