'He is right; there was a lot to do. Yes, I suppose we, as the assembly, should know our full history, but why now, especially with the current crisis? Is it because he believes he could die in the fight between him and the outsider?' I thought.
"Now, don't entertain any wild thoughts. I believed and was correct that the outsider we face wouldn't hurt you three. He simply wants our attention. I am also sure that he wouldn't attack or do anything until we reply."
"Which would be?" the chief asked
"Our actions, as we move forward. This conversation I am having with you is far more important than you know. But you are right. Tell us what you found in the crater, Khan," he said to the chief.
With a nod of respect, the chief started, "Holy water, a large amount of it. It was protected by a barrier which I could not break through… a barrier made of plants." He said, turning to Mul.
"Uh," his description cut everyone, including the Grand Elder, by surprise.
This was beyond weird. How can there be water at the bottom of that flaming crater, not to mention plants and then a barrier that the chief, a San: Myth level individual, could not break? Well, if anyone had any doubt before, it was now without a doubt clear that the unknown creature was beyond the Myth level.
"I am not done. I also sensed your energy there," the chief said, still facing Mul. "It would seem you are being invited to the crater," he finished.
While everyone else was trying to understand why the creature would invite Miss Mul to the crater, the Grand Elder gave out another hearty laugh. "What an overconfident creature, or maybe it isn't and it is simply that strong," the Grand Elder said. "Do you not understand that he is giving us a refill of resources, energy, and without a doubt time, to be at peak condition before he arrives before us."
"'If the rest of my thoughts on these creatures are true, they will be found out when you arrive at the crater, Mul,' He said. She looked at the Grand Elder, confused. Was she supposed to answer the invitation of a creature they knew nothing about?
"You will," he said. "Even if this being truly is stronger than me, from all its actions so far, it either seeks excitement to satisfy its boredom, or it wants something else from us, though not to end or kill us. But before that is known, the reason why I would risk Aleazm, Waka, and Toko to go against someone I knew was either the same strength or higher than mine was simply because it came in here unnoticed," he said.
'In here… unnoticed' – the words rang in the ears of all those unaware of this information already. It was so strange to them that they needed a few seconds to grasp its true meaning. "In here," "unnoticed." In this Oasis of theirs, it had come here, or maybe it was here right now since it had already come in once unnoticed. Apprehension and tension filled the air.
"You all know that soul strength is the only way to affect a domain in any way. Because of my lack of concentration and no elemental, anyone on my level or higher with a bit of caution could easily enter," he said with a sad, tired sigh.
My emotions almost burst out; the same could be said about all the others. How could such a beautiful being be put in such a state?
'The creature we face is seriously lucky it is stronger than us. If not, after putting us and the Grand Elder through all this stress, we would completely decimate it,' my thoughts grew darker and darker, trying hard to suppress my growing hate for the unknown creature.
