Chapter 29 - 28 - THE CHERISHED MEMORY 15

"Hi there, my name is Kiko and I will be your guide from today."

Unlike my captor, or should I say observer, I had noticed them long before they stood in front of my cage. I turned to see who I believed would be observing me for some time before the captor returned. If they were only here to inform me or take me for an experiment, I would rather never see them again.

To my surprise, it was a child captor. "A female," I thought, "she is really small," at least compared to the new me who stood over2 meters tall now.

"You have too many thoughts. Can you limit them so I can better understand you, or just speak with your mouth?" she said.

I felt a surge of anger. How could such a tiny thing not show fear or respect in front of me? Forget the old me, what about this new and improved version? I didn't know how strong I was, but I could feel power coursing through me, even though I knew it was merely my delusion to think I could do anything with that power. I couldn't even dent the floor, but she's just a child. Naturally, she must be weaker than me, right?

I stood before her, separated only by my bars, still angry inside. But then someone came into my view. It was an adult captor, but also female, and all my anger was forgotten. Walking towards the side of the child, I involuntarily held my breath. This wasn't a captor I was familiar with. I couldn't afford the risk of them dragging me for an experiment, But also…

"MI124, this will be your 'starter' from now on. You are to help her with everything she may need, without complaint. We will be watching to grade you both." She turned to the girl, who nodded in understanding. The adult captor then turned to me, and my head moved without my control. The pressure, the feeling that everything I do in front of them will produce no results without their permission. It's the same feeling as my observer. The child gives me an instinctual warning of a high-level threat, but in front of an adult, it seems to quiet down.
