Chereads / My Phantom System / Chapter 3 - Phantom System

Chapter 3 - Phantom System

Arian thought his father had sent the palace guards to bring him home which he had done in some occasions. He sat between two men in suits at the back of the car.

The car surprisingly took another route different from the one he was conversant with but he cared less. He believed he was in safe hands.

"Hey, I know father sent you but can you at least give me some space to breathe," Arian said as he struggled to acquire some space to himself.

His face was met by a harsh punch which drew blood from his lower lip. "Keep your silly mouth shut!!"

Arian shuddered in fear as the reality dawned on him. He remembered his master's words, "...run as far as possible..."

Is something wrong in the palace?

The car halted abruptly at the farthest part of the countryside just before a vast sea. Some other men in dark suits were already standing by the sea with long faces.

Arian was dragged out of the car towards a muscular man and was roughly shoved to the floor, at his feet.

His knees hurt from the fall as he flinched in pain. He looked up to that very familiar face as the thought of this treason bemoaned his mind.

"Olly?"

Olly harrumphed and struck Arian across his face. He fell to his side and quickly recovered the memory of the glove shattering from his previous fall. His heart began to beat rapidly.

What will happen now that the glove has broken?

Will formidable power be released into the universe? One that can wipe nations in a blink or will he end up releasing chaos in the universe?

"You have no right to call my name you piece of filth!" Olly spat. "Ordering me around like some kind of work animal and making me go numb with your nastiness. I had to endure all manner of affronts just because I work in the royal palace as the chief imperial guard!!!"

He hit Arian again as he was struggling to get back up. A cut appeared on his head and let out thick blood. His whole face was covered in his blood.

"I have always wanted that position. King of the imperial city!" Olly spread his hands into the air and laughed maniacally like a crazed psychopath. "Taking over the Farem group and the imperial palace was much easier than I thought. Hahaha!" Olly laughed again and again.

"What have you done to my father?" Arian asked as soon as the realization hit him. He spat out a mouthful of blood.

"Where are my parents? What have you done to them?"

"You're too slow-witted. I showed you signs of my treason countless times but ah, I was still considered a good boy." Olly grinned.

"Where is my father you scumbag!!!?" Not only has he committed treason, he also took over the imperial business! A crime punishable by death that spread the punishments even to his family.

Olly hit Arian on his face and followed with a heavy kick on his chest. More kicks landed on his torso and chest while Arian continued flinching, unable to do anything.

Arian coughed out thick blood. Thick green veins appeared on his neck and face. His vision started to become slightly blurry.

"You dare to call me names huh!!"

Olly kicked Arian's face which threw him into a state of semi-consciousness.

His vision finally faded.

His body sprawled on the floor.

He wasn't moving.

"Finish him off in the water," Olly commanded. He spat on Arian's lifeless body.

The other men rushed to carry Arian's body. "One more thing," Olly interrupted.

He unzipped his pants and pissed on Arian's body. "Mission accomplished! Drown him!"

The men grabbed Arian's body and dragged him towards the sea. His body brushed against tiny jagged rocks, sharp sand and stalks of plants which cut through his clothes and pierced his fine skin. Blood dropped slowly from his nose, ears and the cuts on his skin, making the sand turn reddish brown. He was rolled into the water. The guards wiped the blood off their hands with a towel and threw it into the water when they were done.

"Prepare my large entrance to the imperial palace!" Olly screamed from his car.

They swerved their cars roughly from the scene, raising dust to the air as they drove off.

Arian's body kept sinking to the bottom of the sea. Memories flooded into his mind in his lifeless state like a dream. Memories he had made with his family and Olly, who was his favourite of the palace guards.

What did he do to him to deserve this?

His bag floating above his body suddenly lit up in bright blue rays and banged into his chest, disturbing the water current heavily.

Though he was unconscious, he could still access his mind as if there was another part of him that suddenly became visible.

A blue status screen suddenly popped into his vision from nowhere in his subconscious mind with multiple notifications.

Arian's body was almost close to the bottom of the sea. The dark sea bed was slowly crawling up to his body as the system kept processing it's notifications.

A tiny blue dot flew out of Arian's chest as his body finally hit rock bottom. The blue dot with a visibly large dragon seal kept moving upwards at a very fast rate until it was out of the sea forcing a large mass of water into the air.
