"Sigh… if only your big brother could forgive us as well…" Maverick murmured, causing Maia to momentarily let go and glance at Shye.
It seemed her brother still resented their parents for abandoning them.
However, in the next moment, her gaze dropped to the ground, a hint of sadness in her expression.
She knew she had no right to demand that her big brother forgive their parents.
After all, he was the one who had worked tirelessly to raise her into a capable young adventurer, despite having nothing.
Even so, she resolved to at least make an effort to help mend the relationship between her mom, dad, and big brother.
