Suga and me were driving to the store to buy some stuff. When he turned in the curve an animal came running out from out the woods. Suga quickly slammed on the brakes turning the wheel and making us crash into the woods. I turned to look at him he was all injured and I couldn't help but to feel a sharp pain in my stomach. I didn't dare to look. Was I dying? Was he dead? His favorite car a total loss. I could feel the pressure of everything.
I opened my eyes and held my stomach in pain. I let out a sigh in relief. "Ah thank goodness it was just a dream." I told myself but then I began to feel cramps. I looked at the date on my phone screen. I sat up slowly and waited to see if I felt anything. I stood up and went to the bathroom. I dug in my bag to see if I had a spare one. Luckily, I did but I knew I had to go to the store. The temperature in my room was cold and my stomach could tell. I went to turn it off and see if I had pain killers. My dream stressed me out in real life that I was feeling the pain.
I slowly went downstairs and saw Suga already in the kitchen. He had the TV on with the weather channel on. "Really bad thunderstorm should be approaching within 20 minutes of our location. If you have nothing to do outside then we advise to stay in until this afternoon. There will be some damages. So, stay tuned everywhere. If you are driving be careful on the road. Let's try to keep ourselves from calling the authorities." The news lady advised the community.
"Fuk I can't stay in. I have to go to the store." I thought to myself.
"I'm making a strawberry smoothie. You want one?" He asked looking at me.
I thought about how cold it would be. "No, thank you."
"I'm sure you need it. You look really pale. Are you sick?" He asked as he put everything in the blender.
"I'm fine. I need to go to the store." I said but he couldn't hear me as the blender was loud as fuk.
"I'm going to the store." I said again.
Suga furrowed his eyebrows. "Didn't you hear the lady? She said to not go out. You must be those crazy people that do the opposite."
"It's an emergency. I won't take long."
"Yeah that thunderstorm won't take long either."
I grabbed an umbrella and said. "I'll be back."
"What?" He said.
I headed towards the door but tripped on my own foot. He quickly pulled me back and turned me around. I gasped and we made eye contact.
He quickly let go and cleared his throat. "I'll take you."
"What?" I shockingly replied.
"Hurry, I don't want to be caught in this storm."
I didn't reject his offer maybe he was finally going to be nice to me. My goal was to get along with him. I got in his car but he had the A/C on. I crossed my arms and tried to warm my stomach.
"What? You cold?" He asked looking at me to see if I nodded or not. We were headed towards the curve like in my dream than I got a cold sweat for a second.
"Hey! Keep your eyes on the road. I got it!" I quickly stated before it came true. I looked immediately towards the woods from my right side but as I was about to look to my left that's when I noticed. I shouldn't had been looking out for an animal I should have looked out for a car.
Sadly, a car slammed right onto the left side of the headlight making the whole dashboard shatter into pieces that I closed my eyes. I covered my face with my hands after I heard that. Silence, took over and that's when I looked over at Suga. He was covered in his strawberry smoothie and he looked very upset.
He got out the car. "Hey! Look what you did!" He shouted at the other guy.
"Sorry, I wasn't paying attention." He apologized as he held up his phone.
I held my stomach with one hand and the other my head. I felt like I had a fever and was feeling really nauseous. We had to wait until the cops arrived but until then. I went into the woods to vomit my blood pressure was all over the place.
"Do you need to go to the hospital?" Suga asked as he got close.
"No, I'm okay. Just stay over there." I assured him.
Suga sighed and we heard the sirens. He walked back to the car and told them what happened. The ambulance got there and they confirmed my blood pressure was the problem.
"It's the crash that has you like this. You should feel better soon. If you feel neck or back pain. I would advise to stop at the nearest hospital." They informed me. I nodded my head but I knew I was already feeling sick. Suga was by the ambulance doors hearing everything they were telling me. I felt bad though. He helped me get off the ambulance and now we were left with a broken car.
"Take back the car and I'll get what you need." Suga said.
"No, you should call the insurance and try to get this fixed as soon as possible." I said but then we heard the thunder really close by.
I began to walk away but he grabbed my wrist. I felt a stung when he did that but it was just me being nervous. I didn't pull away but he let go when our eyes met.
"I-i will call you a taxi." He stuttered.
I smiled and said. "Thank you." My smile faded though. "I'm sorry this happened. I know you really liked that car."
He furrowed his eyebrows in confusion. "We don't know if it's a total loss yet."
"Oh yeah. Sorry..." I said looking away awkwardly. "Thanks again." I said before leaving.
"Crap. I hope he doesn't catch up." I told myself. "I mean anybody could tell the car was a total loss. I should be fine. I mean I am sick after all."
When I got out the store the taxi was already there. I was surprised but I was grateful too. I didn't feel well at all. I quietly went inside the house I could heard Yeji voice coming from Suga's office. She sounded very concerned.
"You sure it wasn't an accident?! But you said you didn't know him, right?"
"The insurance company said he doesn't exist. I already looked for him and he doesn't exist anywhere. He's a fake."
I just furrowed my eyebrows in confusion. I didn't even remember if I cleaned my ears correctly.
"Why do I smell blood?" Yeji asked.
He opened the office door and our eyes met. Yeji behind him covered her mouth with her left hand.
That's when I remembered I was on my period but how could she know from far away? I blushed and rushed upstairs. It couldn't had been me she was talking about. That couldn't make any sense right?
