Chapter 28 - Chapter 28: Always The Demon

Aqua fell unconscious the moment Ariel arrived on the scene to stop her brother and now she was being carried away in a stretcher now as the siblings just stood there.

"Hey, she's the one that stopped that Demon yesterday, right?"

"But why did she step in?"

"I think he was about to do something to her that's why she stepped in."

Ariel waited until Aqua was out of the area before turning her gaze to Arsha.

"Come on, Arsha, we need to talk somewhere away from all this noise."

She grabbed him by his arm at that moment and with just one leap, they were both out of the arena.

She used the wind to push herself forward until she got to the huge tree opposite the boy's dormitory outside the gate of course.

She slowly descended under the tree, and now that they were there, she let go of his hand.

He had been quiet since she stopped him from doing what he wanted to do back at the arena and it didn't look like he wanted to say anything now.

"So, are you going to talk to me now?"

She looked quite serious back at the arena but now her expression and voice seemed to have softened.

"Talk to you about what?" He retorted.

Ordinarily, Arsha didn't have a problem making eye contact with anybody but that didn't apply to his sister in a situation like this.

Getting that response from him, Ariel let out a sigh before leaning against the tree.

"What did Miss. Aqua do to you? I could tell by those looks in your eyes, you were out to hurt her and not lightly."

"Didn't you see the way she slammed me into the wall?"

"You can't fool me with that, Arsha." She shook her head.

"Huh?"

"You were waiting for her to do that so that you could use it as an excuse for what you really wanted to do to her." She remarked. "You might be able to fool everyone else with that but not me."

"And what if that's true, she still deserved it, I told her to leave me alone…"

"Oh, so that's what this is all about." She snapped.

"I never said that."

Ariel's response to that was a smile as she took two steps forward to get close enough to place her right hand on his shoulder.

"You don't have to push them away, if someone decides to get closer to you despite everything they've heard then that's their decision, there's nothing wrong with having friends again." She expressed.

"You know it's not just about that." He retorted before lowering his gaze.

"I know but we're in the academy, there are no beasts running around in here."

"Yeah, but you know what happened the last time they managed to break through."

"That's not going to happen again."

"And how are you so sure of that?!"

His voice went up for a moment there but he was able to quickly get his temper under control.

"Sorry." He apologized.

"No, it's okay."

"Um…hello. My apologies if I'm interrupting."

The siblings looked ahead at that moment to see Rena making her way to them.

"Oh, Rena, is there a problem?"

"Not really, but if you don't mind…."

She paused at that moment to look at Arsha before turning her gaze back to Ariel.

"If you don't mind, Ariel, I'd like to have a word with your brother." She remarked.

The news of what happened at the arena during Arsha and Aqua's duel quickly spread throughout the academy and before long, everyone who didn't have the time to watch the spar knew about it.

The replays were there for them to see what really happened but the narrative of the whole thing was twisted in a way that painted Arsha as a despicable person and nobody had anything to say against that.

'The Human Demon strikes again.' That was the headline of the whole incident and because of his reputation, nobody tried to look at it objectively even though they weren't completely wrong this time.

It was almost time for the lunch break to come to an end and because of that, most of the students were already back in their class.

Claudia didn't really have anything to do after lunch so she was in her seat at the moment and Jessica whose seat was just beside hers was also present there.

Despite hearing everything her classmates had been throwing around for a while now, she hadn't really commented on the matter.

She had her head against her desk as she looked through the window and Jessica knowing that she didn't want any disturbance left her thoughts in her mind.

However, Claudia's self-induced tranquil moment wasn't able to last for long as someone suddenly pulled up in front of her.

A male student just about her height, his dark hair looked neat with the curtain haircut, he had brown eyes and a nice symmetrical face that made it quite easy for him to attract a lot of girls but not everyone was that easy to attract.

Other than having a pretty face, he also had a nice body, he wasn't ripped by any stretch of the imagination but it was obvious that he wasn't one he ignored his exercise.

To top things off, he had the number seven visibly displayed on his watch cementing him as one of the top second-year students.

He looked like a good student with the way he carried himself but there was just something about his aura that a lot of his classmates didn't like.

"Hey, there ladies." He said with a little wave just after stopping in front of Claudia's desk.

"Hey, Erwin," Jessica responded but there was no response from Claudia.

She just kept quiet with the hope that he would leave her alone to go bother someone else.

"Umm…..Claudia." He called but there was no response from her.

'Please go away.' She sighed inwardly.

"Claudia." He called again but there was still no response from her.

"Um…Erwin, I don't…"

Jessica wanted to give her input but it didn't look like he wanted to listen to her.

"Claudia?"

This time he proceeded to place his hand on her shoulder to give her a little shake but just as his hand touched her, she shut her eyes open and grabbed the hand.

"Claudia." He gasped at that moment as she quickly ran a good amount of electricity through his body and sent him flying back.

He crashed through the desks in the way before ultimately smashing into the wall.

That caught the attention of the students in the room and now most of them had their gaze on her.

Someone walked into the class just in time to see that and she had quite a pissed off look on her face.

"Claudia Hart." The teacher grumbled.

"Yes, Mrs. Nesta." She answered in a nonchalant tone.

"On your feet." She ordered.

It took her a while but she was able to slowly drag herself up.

"What does the rule book say about using your abilities in class?"

"I'm sorry Ma'am but I don't have the strength to recite the rulebook." She retorted.

Gasps swept through the class at that moment and that annoyed the teacher even further as her eyes were twitching now.

"I think you'll enjoy picking weed under the hot sun."
