Chapter 32 - Chapter 32: A Class Confrontation

Chloe said she was going to stick beside Arsha until their instructor got there at least but even after the instructor arrived, she refused to leave his side.

This got Arsha more death glares from her classmates mostly because she was talking to him close to them as they all had to come together to listen to the instructor.

No matter how hard they tried to stab him with their eyes, he couldn't really care less, Chloe agreed to triple his pay and that was all that mattered to him.

A few hours passed and the combat class finally came to an end, this meant that his job was practically over now.

"I guess this is where we part ways," Chloe said as the both walked out of the hall together.

"Yeah, I guess."

"I would have loved to ask you to walk me back to the dormitory but I'll be okay on my own."

"I would do it if you increase what I'm currently getting ten times." He remarked.

"You really are in love with money, huh but sorry, that would eat up both my school and personal allowance." She said before slowly turning away from him.

"Then just ask your father for more."

'He should be getting a lot of money from the ludicrous amount he makes everyone living in the city pay.'

"It's not that easy but I'm sure I can pull it off if I put enough effort into it, I don't have that kind of strength now though." She articulated before turning to him once again. "But hey, if I asked you to be my people control again sometime in the future, would you do it?"

"If you increase your pay then I might consider it." He responded.

"I should have seen that coming." She uttered with a little chuckle. "But at least you're not outright saying no."

"It's stupid to say no to a chance to earn money."

"Geez you sure think about money a lot. Anyway, I'll get going now, see you later, it was nice doing business with you."

'Exactly what you would expect the daughter of the president to say.'

Just after saying that, she turned around and began to walk away while Arsha just stood there staring into the nothingness that darkness slowly closing in was creating.

"Hey."

It had all been half a minute since Chloe left the area and now someone was calling him from behind.

'What is it now?' He sighed inwardly before turning to the person to see that it was a first-year student and he had both of his hands folded like he was about to pick a fight with him.

Well, he wasn't able to hold onto that resolve for long because as soon as he made eye contact with Arsha, he felt something drop in his heart.

He had the usual cold look in his eyes and that alone was enough to send shrills running down the first-year student's spine. Also, the fact that he watched Arsha's fight against Aqua made things worse because he was aware of just how dangerous he was.

"You called me?"

"No…no…no, I thought you were someone else." The student stuttered before quickly dashing off to the side and disappearing.

"Dumpster." He muttered under his breath before he began to make his way out of the area.

A few minutes later was standing in front of room fifty-five of the boys' dormitory, that was the room he shared with his roommate Jayden and after unlocking the door with his watch, he walked into the room to find the roommate lying on his bed.

"Oh, hey, Arsha." He said as soon as he spotted him.

"Hey," Arsha responded as he made his way to his bed.

Just after getting there, he sat down and began to unbutton his shirt.

There was a few seconds of silence in the room before Jayden sat up on his bed and turned to him.

"So, how was today?" He inquired.

"Same as always."

"Same as always, really?"

"Yes."

"Arsha, your name has been flying around a lot since today but other than what actually happened there's a recent rumor that I heard just a few minutes ago."

Arsha didn't respond to that as he slowly took off his shirt to reveal his body.

His body wasn't exactly what you would call ripped but his abs were well-detailed, something that came with all the tedious workouts he always did.

"They're saying you're going out with a first year, they said she's the president's daughter and you two were together throughout combat class." He disclosed.

'Just as I thought.' Arsha sighed inwardly before crashing on his bed.

"Arsha?"

"I know you don't believe all of that."

"Yeah." He responded with a nod. "I know it's not exactly the truth but I sort of wish it was true."

'He wishes it was true, is this guy for real?'

"And why's that?"

"Well, you come off strongly as a heartless loner but if you were to start dating someone like the President's daughter they'd start seeing you in a new light, after all, it must take a lot of effort to get the attention of someone like that in that way." Jayden articulated.

The whole time he had his gaze on his bed slowly tugging his bed sheet and now that he was done, it was time to hear what Arsha had to say.

Arsha didn't really know what to say after hearing him say all that, so he did what he did best, go cold.

"I'm going to bed." He declared before covering himself with his bed sheet.

"Oh, okay, good night then," Jayden remarked before slowly lying down on his bed.

A couple of hours passed and a new day was upon the students of Aigis Academy once again.

They went through everything they had to do in the morning just as always and once they were done, they had their breakfast and made their way to class for the day's homerooms.

Arsha got to class before everything for the day started just like most of the students.

As expected, Claudia was already in class and in her seat and because she always got ready with Jessica she was also present.

She made eye contact with Arsha the moment he walked into the room and she was just about to open her mouth and say something when he broke eye contact and continued his walk to his seat which was the last seat near the window.

Jessica seemed to have taken note of this and now she had her gaze on Claudia with a somewhat suspicious look on her face.

Arsha slowly sat down on his seat and just like he did every morning, he turned to the window.

"Is Arsha Logan here?"

He clearly heard that but he pretended that he didn't hoping that whoever that was would go away.

Well, those who saw him enter the class about a minute ago didn't waste any time pointing the person looking for him to him.

"Arsha Logan."

There was a subtle ferocity in his voice as he quickly stormed to Arsha but even then Arsha didn't bother turning away from the window.

"Hey." The student called before slamming his hand on his desk.

The student who just walked into their class was a second-year student from Class A, a student who went by the name Kyle Lester.

He had long brown hair that matched quite well with his brown eyes, he had a nicely symmetrical face with a nice jawline. Kyle was one of the more attractive second-year boys and he also wasn't lacking in the strength department, he was ranked eight, and that information was open to anyone who would just look at his watch.

"What do you want?" Arsha sighed.

"If you're going to ask me a question then face me first." He demanded.

"Alright," Arsha responded with a nonchalant voice before turning to him. "Now tell me what you want."

There was no change to his voice but his eyes told a completely different story.

"Why did you do that to Aqua?!"

After hearing him say that, Arsha shook his head before turning back to the window.

"Hey, I'm talking to you!"

Kyle was trying his best not to lose his cool but after that reaction from Arsha, the ropes snapped.

"Who do you even think you are!" He grumbled before grabbing Arsha by his collar to pull him up.

"Why can't people like you just mind their business," Arsha muttered under his breath.

Things seemed to have fired up now and everyone in the room had their gaze on them, that included Claudia who was on her feet.

"I'm asking you why you did that to Aqua, do you know how painful it is to get your arm destroyed like that, why do you always have to take things too far?!"

"I think there's a better way to resolve this, Kyle, you have to calm down," Claudia uttered as she took a step closer to them.

She felt the need to do something as class representative but then Kyle turned to her with a death glare.

"Stay out of this Claudia, I heard about what you did yesterday so you have no right to speak here." He snapped at her.

"Huh?"

"As for you, it's about time someone puts a leash on you."

His anger kept boiling from just looking at him and before anyone knew it, he raised his right hand and sent it down Arsha's face.

The sound resounded through the classroom and as soon as it died down, everywhere went silent.

"You've done it now, Kyle," Claudia muttered.

"I see you've decided to extend communication beyond using the mouth."

The next thing Kyle knew, Arsha's right hand was on his body, and with an effortless push, he launched him forward.

He smashed into the wall head-on and the impact from that suggested that that was no simple push, I mean there was a huge dent in the wall now but that wasn't the main takeaway here.

Arsha still had that look in his eyes, his gaze was usually cold but now he had something different, the eyes of someone who was out to kill, it was quite terrifying to his classmates that it took just a slap to get him like that. It was obvious that he wasn't done with Kyle.
