That strong blast of wind was enough to get all the people in the area to go quiet.
The only thing that could be heard now was the sound of Ariel's wind slowly calming down.
She was trying to calm herself but that furious look was still on her face.
"I've already explained this to all of you, this wasn't Arsha's fault, Ava was the one who wanted to go into the forest, he only went with her because she said she would still go without him and he wanted to stop her from going. After seeing all this, I think he should have just let her go then you wouldn't have anyone to blame, but I guess he's just stupid enough to think that doing anything for you guys will make you like him." Her breathing kept getting louder as she blurted those words, and now that she was done with that, she slowly turned her gaze to Ava's mother who was still on the floor
"I don't know where you got the idea, but don't you ever call my little brother an evil Demon again!" Her words were sent to her with a force of wind that quickly blew past her but it wasn't enough to move her. "At least, don't say it whenever I am close by to hear it."
Her mouth was moving uncontrollably just a few minutes ago but right now she was frozen still, the only thing she could do was stare at the little girl with tears slowly dropping down from her eyes.
"Arsha, mother, it's time to go home," Ariel said before turning her gaze to them.
The mother didn't object, she just got up on her feet and began to walk out of the area with her son but she had a very sad expression on her face, like she was trying to say sorry but the words just wouldn't come out.
With the two now on their way, Ariel slowly made her way to the crying mother.
"I understand, it's painful but it was your daughter's fault, Arsha was only trying to stop her."
With that said, she slowly turned around and began to make her way out of the area.
With the little girl now a distance away from them, the people began to speak again, they believed that she couldn't hear them from that distance but she could hear them loud and clear courtesy of her wind ability.
"It's crazy how an eight-year-old girl can get this many adults to shake in their pants." The voice of a young boy came from the crowd.
With the way he said that, it would seem that he had an astonished look on his face but the look on his face was one of spite.
"That little brat." He muttered before biting his lower lip.
"Is that girl really eight years old?"
Ariel took her time to get to their house which was placed further down a little distance away from the other houses which were lined up close to each other on both sides.
When she got to the house, she found Arsha sitting on the rock in front of the house with his gaze on the night sky.
"Arsha? You're not supposed to...."
She wasn't able to finish that statement as she took a closer look at that moment to see that his wounded shoulder was wrapped up nicely with bandages now.
"Oh, mother already took care of it." She said in realization before continuing her walk toward him.
Arsha was already aware of her presence, but his gaze didn't shift from the sky.
"Hey, sis." He called.
"Yes, what is it?" She inquired before stopping in front of him.
"That shirt you used to tie my shoulder, wasn't that your favorite pink shirt?"
"Well, yes, it is." She replied with a nod.
"It's soaked in blood that's never going to come off now." His voice sounded quite aloof with that statement.
"Hey, don't worry about that." Ariel smiled before placing her hand on his head. "I was going to outgrow that shirt soon anyway so it doesn't matter, your safety is all that matters."
At that moment, he turned to her to look her in the eye for a few seconds before turning his gaze back to the sky.
'She's only a year older than me but when it comes to the mind, she's at least six years older than me.'
"So, how's your shoulder doing?" She asked before turning her gaze to his injured shoulder.
"I can feel it slowly closing up now, it should be completely healed by tomorrow."
"Oh, really?" She remarked before removing her hand from his head with an awkward smile on her face. "I can never get used to how fast your body heals."
"It's the same for me."
Looking at him all day, that smile on her face could never fade.
'It's sad that Ava had to die but I'm glad I got there in time to save him.' She said subconsciously before turning to the house.
"I see you're already sitting on the rock, so, do you also want to eat outside tonight?"
The truth was that he wasn't hungry in the slightest but he wasn't going to tell her that.
"Yeah." He responded with a nod.
"Alright then, I'll go get our dinner." She said with a jolly ring to her voice before skipping off toward the door.
With his sister now gone and the quietness of the night around him now restored, Arsha let out a sigh before slowly bringing his gaze down.
"She said it was all Ava's fault but that wasn't the truth, if I wasn't there then that spider would have never shown up. But then again, she would have still died in the hands of some other beast." He muttered to himself before opening up his right hand.
He stared at the palm of his hand for a while before a flame ball suddenly appeared on it.
It was one big flame at first before it broke into three smaller flame balls, but those flame balls didn't last for long as a small stream of water suddenly burst through his hand and took them out.
With the fire taken out and his hand now wet, the young boy closed his hand before returning his gaze to the sky.
"My mother is human, and my sister is also human, then why me? Why do these strong monsters always show up when I'm around, what did I ever do to them? The first time I saw one of them, I thought we could actually be friends like the animals in town, but they were only after blood.
They drank Peter's blood, they drank Michael's blood and now they've taken Ava too, all three times I was the only one who got spared, but that was only because I fought back, for my life and not theirs. Oh, yeah, I didn't fight back this last time."
After muttering all that to himself, he opened both of his hands before shifting his gaze to them.
'Shouldn't I also be human?'
