I hurried out of Alpha Eliot's quarters, quickly diverting to the back route when I saw a group of men chatting early in the morning. I was only half-naked, dressed in transparent clothing for Alpha Eliot's seduction.
"Silly!" My wolf growled.
My plan was to return to my room before morning or before Xavier woke up, but now I found myself hiding from a group of men to avoid their lustful gazes.
Cutting through the back, I arrived at Xavier's mansion and I exhaled heavily then turned the doorknob, I almost freaked out seeing him seated on the couch closest to the door. Had he been waiting for me? I wondered butvi snapped myself at out it.This wasn't the right time for this.
"Good morning, my lord," I greeted, closing the door silently.
He remained silent. The room was filled with tension, and it increased especially when I saw Jade and Xavier's butler standing in front of the couch, with other men on their knees. What had happened this early? I wondered. Jade's presence made me certain that she must have told Xavier everything; she never liked me, so I expected no mercy.
After a few minutes, Xavier unfolded his arms and uncrossed his legs, waving at the men who knelt and they quickly left. They stood and hastily left the mansion without looking back.
"Where are you coming from?" he asked coldly.
"I went out to get…" I stuttered, not knowing what to say as he shot me that cold glare.
"You didn't sleep in your room," he smiled, standing up and taking steps closer to me. What was he trying to do? Slam me against the wall like his brother? I thought.
As he walked closer, I took steps backward.
"Hmmm, a crazy night with Eliot, right? Huh?" He snorted, jealousy creeping out and sure it doesn't look good on him.
"No, no," I lied, uncertain of what else to say.
"Then is it Addison?" he chuckled.
I choose not to reply.
"I picked you up, paid for you,I bought you and gave you shelter, and now what? Fucking With Eliot and Addison?" He hollered, staring blankly at me as my palms started to sweats from his intense gaze.I continued going backward until I hit the wall.
Gasping for breath, he closed the distance between us. My heart raced as I blurted out, "Nothing happened!"
I didn't know why, but Xavier had a different aura and demeanor. Not even Harry or Alpha Eliot had me this scared. His voice resonated through the building, commanding respect without giving anyone an option to argue.
"Nothing happened, huh?," He paused,a sly smirk playing in his lips before he continued, "But you dressed with nothing beneath you?" He whispered, sending chills down my spine.
He drew away from me but continued staring at my body through the transparent clothing and I couldn't help but cover my bobbs with bother hands.
"Disloyalty will not be tolerated! Traitors will be dealt with!" He threatened, and my brows knitted, wondering how I had become disloyal.
"I bought you, and you'll serve me alone! Warm my bed every night and avoid the Alpha and Gamma's quarters! You would make sure you are always with me! Is that clear?" He sneered, and I nodded, my hands still shaking.
"These are my rules, non-negotiable!" He bellowed, leaving no room for argument. Non-negotiable? I furrowed my brows, confused. Does he have his own rules apart from Alpha Eliot? Which rules am I to obey? Alpha Eliot's or Xavier who owned me?
It seems the both brothers were that close.
"I'm ruthless because it is necessary!" He added before fixing his intense gaze on me. My hairs stood on end, and I avoided eye contact as he walked slowly back to me.
"Submit to my rule, and you might survive," he whispered, and I bit my lower lip, trying to calm my trembling body. But it seemed too late, as my knees felt like rubber, and I whimpered silently.
"Don't be scared," he said slowly, stretching his hand to touch my chin. I moved involuntarily in defense, accidentally causing a portrait on the wall to fall to the ground.
I watched as Xavier quickly left me and dived for it, making sure it didn't reach the ground. Jade and his butler's eyes widened as the picture almost fell, leaving me curious about what the picture represented.
I squinted my eyes and noticed it was the family photoshoot on the wall. But why was he so caring about it and protecting it like a diamond? I thought.
He hung it back up and shot me a deadly glare, clearly stating, "Don't try it next time."
"You left my quarters for Eliot's without my consent; your loyalty is questioned," he snapped, holding tightly to my chin, making me groan in pain as he forced my mouth open.
"I'm sorry, my lord," I managed to say pleadingly.
"Prove your loyalty!" he gnashed his teeth in my face.
"Since Eliot's got you dressing in transparent clothing, I've got an assignment for you!" He left my chin, a sly smirk curling up his lips, making me knit my brows. I was confused about how he could switch emotions so quickly, but that smile wasn't entirely genuine.
"What assignment, my lord?" I inquired eagerly.
"Get me the 'Blue book' in Alpha Eliot's Chamber!" he ordered with a soft smile, turning to face his butler and Jade, who were also smiling. This left me wondering who Jade was actually working for.
Fatigue settled over me like a heavy wet blanket as I thought, "Been sent on a mission inside a mission." It seems the Fedele Brothers were really not at peace with each other, I thought, but his words snapped me back to the present.
"You must obey my commands without questions, bow to my dominance, or suffer the consequences! Get me the 'Blue book' and prove your loyalty."
I stared at him sheepishly. What is even the damn 'Blue book'?
