David went straight to the university cafeteria after parking his car.
He wanted to have breakfast, and when he arrived at the cafeteria, he found that all the tables were full.
This was in contrast to yesterday, when it seemed that most students didn't eat breakfast at home.
However, even though all the tables were full, there were still some empty seats as quite a few tables were only occupied by one person.
David looked at the empty chairs one by one.
Unfortunately, he didn't get along with anyone in the cafeteria. Isabel wasn't there either.

His arrival surprised the man.
