David looked into Isabel's eyes, finding that she furrowed her brow while staring at the floor.
In fact, the two women who followed him didn't like Alex's words either. They thought he was going too far, asking to be introduced to David's girlfriend's friend. That would practically make the other person's relationship awkward.
"I don't have time to take care of such insignificant things," David replied in an indifferent tone.
He didn't hesitate to say no, which of course came as quite a shock to Isabel.
In high school, she often saw students not daring to refuse Alex's wishes.
David didn't seem to have any worries about coming into conflict with him.
Alex obviously didn't expect David to respond so unfriendly.
His mouth opened as he was surprised and then his expression became visibly angry.
"Hmph, David, you seem to have become arrogant after having such a rich girlfriend," he said, snorting coldly.
