Chapter 13 - A Bit Problem

As before, Lisa did not follow Jane and David. She just waited by the car, lighting another cigarette.

If she wasn't there, there would probably be a lot of people approaching the car to take pictures.

However, Lisa's presence prevented that.

She was just a woman, but even the men didn't dare to provoke her.

When entering the elevator with Jane, David finally started to get nervous again.

It's not nervous because he's worried about something, but nervous because of something that starts to rise in the depths of his body.

He couldn't help but look at Jane's tall, slender figure.

Since she was wearing a short skirt, so her pair of long legs dazzled his eyes looking closely.

Of course, Jane was also staring at his figure.

However, she did look more relaxed, occasionally smiling so it was hard to guess her thoughts and what her body was feeling.

The elevator stopped not long after.

David and Jane took a step out when the door in front of them opened.

Jane let David lead the way as she didn't know which apartment was his among the several doors in the hallway.

When David finally stopped, she stopped too.

However, David suddenly discovered one problem.

"I think I forgot to bring the spare key when I left this morning, and the other key is in my sister's hand," he said.

Jane finally rolled her eyes, looking at David in surprise.

Unfortunately, the lock on the apartment door was still using a regular key, not an electronic one, so it really needed a key.

"Jane, can you use your powers to open this door?" asked David, getting another idea.

Jane was a Spiritual Being. He had sensed her great power.

It was possible that she could even destroy the door. It might not be difficult for her to just pick the lock.

However, Jane suddenly shook her head.

"I will wait for you to have spiritual power before showing you what spiritual power looks like," she said.

"Why?" asked David, not understanding her way of thinking.

"You're still an ordinary person, so I want you to see me as an ordinary person for a while. You know, sometimes this kind of gap can ruin a relationship," Jane replied, explaining in a gentle tone.

David understood what she meant and her gentle tone made him lose the urge to try to force her.

He finally took out his cell phone as he said, "I'll have my sister send the key through the delivery service."

He called Audrey after saying that.

The call was picked up immediately, but there was no voice from the other side.

David spoke first. "Sis, I want to go to the apartment but I forgot to bring the key, can you send the key you brought here?"

"Who are you there with?" Apparently, Audrey asked in response.

Jane could probably hear even if David wasn't using his cell phone speaker.

She gave David a look as if asking him to tell the truth.

"I'm with Jane, there's something we want to do," David replied.

When talking about there being something we wanted to do, he didn't know whether to laugh or cry.

Who knows what Audrey is thinking right now.

What if she thinks that he and Jane want to making love?

Or even if it was not making love, it was definitely not far from such a thing, perhaps kissing and hugging wildly.

The question was whether Audrey would allow that?

However, David was already a grown man, how could she not allow it.

She herself would be embarrassed if she didn't allow her younger brother to bring his girlfriend home.

"Alright, wait there!" David finally heard her answer.

Apparently she agreed with it.

Only, she suddenly added, "if you can, find another girlfriend later!"

After saying that, she disconnected the call.

David's face became strange after hearing her words.

"It seems that your older sister doesn't accept me," Jane said suddenly, proving that she had actually heard Audrey's words.

Her expression became rather flat.

Having always seen her smile, seeing her expression become like that was enough to make David uncomfortable.

He grabbed her hands and even hugged her waist, a move he had never done before but this time he seemed to be very skillful.

Jane fell into his arms with her face right in front of his.

"I won't let anyone interfere with our relationship. Others can disagree, but they can't interfere with us," he said.

After he said that, Jane finally smiled again.

She looked at David's hands that were hugging her waist for a moment and then looked at his face again.

When she looked at his face, her hands moved to his chest then up slightly to his shoulders.

"I'm not worried, your sister can't stop us," Jane said.

"Please don't hate her," David replied.

Jane might be offended, but David didn't want any hatred between them. Even if nothing changed, hearts that hated each other would make things not good.

David's request this time was apparently not immediately responded to by Jane.

In fact, the woman seemed to be thinking.

It took a while before she replied, "An upset heart is not something that can be controlled. Humans can only suppress it. Let's let things flow in a natural way. Later, I will try to build a good relationship with your older sister. For sure, I guarantee that there will be no conflict between me and your older sister."
