Chapter 8 - Looks Angry

In the class, Jane told David more about Spiritual Beings, especially how their powers worked.

Basically, the blood of a more powerful Deity would give greater strength and better skills.

The power of Zeus' blood was not known for sure as no one had used it yet, but everyone knew from the stories that Zeus was the king of lightning.

The power of lightning itself is so devastating and feared, it's rare for anyone to have it.

The power of lightning from Zeus is predicted to have the most powerful level of destruction.

To increase the power further, the main focus is training, but the training of the Spiritual Beings covers a lot of ground.

Meditating to further integrate with the blood that has been consumed is one of them. Another is understanding the skills contained in the blood.

These two still include basic training that basically needs to be done on a regular basis.

If fortunate to find the blood of the same Deity, a Spiritual Being can absorb it directly into the body to increase strength, even unrefined blood. It does not need to be consumed anymore because since becoming a Spiritual Being, one can absorb any source of power without having to consume it.

More complicated training sometimes requires a Spiritual Being to do something related to the characteristics of the owner of the blood that has been consumed.

This is difficult to explain as each person has different characteristics.

Jane says that each Spiritual Being will know for themselves what they need to do.

It is said that there is a Deity who likes to smoke, so Spiritual Beings who gain strength from his blood can practice by smoking continuously until they gain a certain enlightenment.

What were Zeus' characteristics? Jane could not be sure. She only suspected that since Zeus was a great leader, so David might need to be a great leader as well.

"But Zeus was also a man with many wives, what if I should imitate that to gain more power?" David asked as he recalled the number of Zeus' wives.

His brows furrowed and his eyes looked down.

He looked serious, not joking at all.

In fact, he was serious when he said that.

Unexpectedly, the always gentle Jane suddenly pinched David's waist, making his back straighten up in surprise.

A confused David looked at Jane's face.

For the first time, he saw that her lips were pouting while her eyes seemed to be scolding him.

David's expression became strange.

When he realized something, he quickly cleared his throat.

"I'm just worried," he said.

That level of jealousy, David was worried that she could become a fierce yandere.

Fortunately the woman calmed down in no time.

"Our goal will be to slowly build up power, making officials and military generals our henchmen," she said, changing the subject.

It seemed that she either forgot the previous topic or she didn't want to discuss it.

After that, she began to tell David about the various factions on Earth, including some other beings.

David had to admit that he was very surprised.

The real Earth wasn't just a world he didn't know at all. It even exceeded many imaginations.

David listened to Jane talk for over an hour.

The class was increasingly filled with students. There was no one who wasn't staring at Jane.

Seeing her chatting with David and looking so happy, those people couldn't help but be jealous.

Jane's full name began to spread in the university.

Although the Rothschilds were not so obvious anymore in the eyes of ordinary people, they were still curious about a family that could be said to be ancient.

Plus, they were still a very wealthy family even with the little wealth they showed.

Not only men, but also many women want to get close to her. After all, women sometimes want to be friends with a beautiful woman who is a descendant of a prestigious family.

Of course, there are many fans of conspiracy theories here.

They regarded the Rothschilds as villains who should be brought down, so their gaze on Jane was ominous.

They were just hesitant to make any particular fuss.

Not long after, a lecturer finally came to the class. He was rather old, had a thick mustache.

At first glance, he looked scary so the students immediately concluded that he was a grumpy lecturer.

"My name is Tyson." He introduced himself immediately after entering the class, but in an indifferent manner.

He walked to the lecturer's desk, then sat on it, observing the students from the bottom up.

His eyes paused longer when he looked at Jane, which eventually made him look at David longer as well.

Since he came, David and Jane had stopped talking.

"Whoever is a couple in this class, please sit far apart. I don't want anyone who can't study seriously in my class," he said suddenly, startling David and the other couples.

He and Jane were not the only couple in the class.

Since the lecturer asked for it, they all had no other choice but to sit far apart.

David hesitated somewhat, looking at Jane with a quizzical expression wondering if he needed to move.

Unexpectedly, Jane said, "let's wait until this class is over. We don't need to make a scene."

It seemed that she preferred to follow the lecturer's words.

Perhaps it was because of the Rothschild Family's inconspicuous style.

They are not like other rich people who sometimes use their wealth to show dominance.

"I'll move, you stay," David replied, getting to his feet.

Jane nodded to him.

After that, David went down to one of the desks in the middle of the class.

As he walked, he kept getting stared at by the lecturer.

Who knows what the lecturer was thinking.

When David sat down, the lecturer started talking. And what he was talking about was the current state of the economy.

Apparently he was a man who was quite anti-capitalism.

He gave a lot of criticism of the current economic system which he said was the cause of high inequality.

David has to admit that everything he says sounds reasonable.

The way he explains is really easy to understand.

However, David couldn't help but glance at Jane every now and then, wanting to see her reaction because it was almost as if the lecturer's criticism was directed at her family.

However, Jane didn't seem to take it all that seriously.

She listened to the lecturer speak very calmly.
