"I really didn't end up in a pleasant place," Jone said, smiling strangely.
The beast's roar continued as Jone pondered what to do to get out of this situation.
He looked at the worm and felt its strength.
'Final phase of the Qi Foundation realm,' Jone said a bit solemnly.
The worm, upon realizing that Jone had dodged its attack, leaped out of the lake with its enormous mouth toward Jone. If he didn't do anything, he could be swallowed whole by the worm.
At that moment, the vision in Jone's eye turned red again, his blood pulsating as a surge of strength ran through his entire body.
The worm's mouth closed in on Jone rapidly, and he had nowhere to dodge.
"Damn!"
Jone exclaimed as he saw green liquid coming out of the worm's throat, knowing that the worm would soon launch its corrosive attack again.
'Looks like there's no other way,' Jone thought as he looked directly at the worm.
Suddenly, the atmosphere changed. From his right eye, a terrible aura was released, using the Primordial Aura with all the force Jone could muster.
'Growing Despair'
His ability was used to its maximum capacity, and with the Primordial Aura, it was a terrible energy to endure.
The worm, coming quickly in his direction, suddenly stopped. The liquid in its throat returned to its body as the worm began to writhe and scream in horror.
A scream worse than anything Jone had ever heard echoed in his ears; the worm was completely out of control.
"I'll go deaf; I have to kill this worm quickly." Jone realized that even using his eyes to their full capacity, the beast wouldn't die just from that, but at least he no longer felt in complete danger.
The worm, in complete despair in its mind, thrashed in the lake and soon fell into the dirty water, crushing many eggs in its path.
Jone held the scythe tightly and took a deep breath. In his red vision, he suddenly saw the worm's movement seem to slow down.
He then watched the worm in the water, waiting for the right moment.
'Now!'
Jone, hanging on the scythe, suddenly held the handle tightly and swung his body upward.
His two feet touched the ceiling as he pulled the scythe, detaching it from the cave ceiling, and then, with a great push from his legs, he launched himself downward.
Jone held the scythe with one hand as abundant energy emanated from his dantian, concentrating on the arm holding the scythe.
His blood was pulsing rapidly as he looked at the uncontrolled worm in the lake.
His body fell at great speed while the worm in his vision was getting closer, and all its movements were completely within the prediction of his eyes.
As he was getting close to the water, the worm's head emerged from the water with a sharp cry of despair, and then…
'Slash.'
Jone held the scythe in front of him, cutting horizontally.
Suddenly, the desperate, sharp cry stopped, and Jone fell onto the giant body of the worm.
The worm had no chance to defend itself; defense was not the strong point of the giant corrosive worm, especially when it was not aware that it would be attacked due to Jone's ability.
"It's over," he sighed lightly as his vision and blood returned to normal. He then looked at the worm split in the water.
A black energy surrounded the cut, corroding slightly as an immense amount of blood flowed from its severed body.
A large amount of corrosive green liquid also flowed from its broken body, falling into the lake, which began to bubble due to the acid.
"Tsk, if I hadn't used Growing Despair and relied only on my strength, I wouldn't have had a chance against a beast in the final phase of the realm, especially in its nest."
"If I had fallen directly into the lake water, I don't know what would have happened; thankfully, I thought a bit before falling directly."
"But this is not careful enough; I am too careless about everything. These eyes made me arrogant; I am still just a slightly strong ant in this world."
'I have to think more about what to do in the future; I can't risk my life like this again,' Jone thought to himself, a bit frustrated.
Jone, no longer in the adrenaline of the fight, felt his nose burning again, smelling the disgusting lake below the worm's body.
"Damn, this is really horrible," he thought as he held the scythe near the worm while a large amount of blood covered the scythe.
Soon, the scythe completely absorbed the blood. He then looked with a bit of disgust at the worm's body, but said in his mind.
'Devour.'
The huge worm's body began to be completely corroded and transformed as it was absorbed by his right eye, and the suction suddenly increased in a way that Jone had never seen.
The worm's body disappeared quickly as Jone fell into the completely disgusting lake, but his eye did not stop, and Jone could not control it.
Then all the hundreds of worm eggs in the water began to be completely devoured by his right eye as the energy in his dantian continued to increase.
