10/6 18:39 (Autumn, Night, Middle of the Ocean)
The Werewolf held her left paw up, condensing electricity in a long spear that she threw towards one of the tentacles in tandem with her own launch towards another, her axe's blades glowing with Lightning-Attribute Mana thrusted deeply into another one of them before impaling it with her other, lightning-covered hand up to her elbow.
Eyes focused on her, beams of Evil Light being released upon her the next instant only for her to react in time, her Qi flaring and converting her entire body, fur included, into living stone, holes forming all over her body because of the rays released by the empty eyes only for her to continue attacking.
Sider ripped away the arm impaled within the Horror's flesh while leaving her axe stuck in it, before she, using her much higher weight caused by the fact that she was made out of highly compressed yet still flexible stone, crushed the tentacle she landed on with pure physical might thanks to the Living Stone Cultivation Technique passed down to the Amazons by their Cultivator Ancestor.
This may seem to be a contradiction considering how so grave damage would lead the Horror to increase the number of heads again but after all there was only three ways to kill an Hydra and, in order of least to most dangerous, they were: negating their healing and then killing the Hydra; dealing so much damage and at so high a speed that it could not heal; and finally destroying their heads again and again, it gaining new ones until no more will be made and then ripping it apart.
The Werewolf well knew that the third option was the most dangerous of them all for the very good reason that the Horror would gain more tentacles and subseguently more power to attack her with but she also knew that every single Being had a limit, said limit could be surpassed sure but accumulating too much power in too short a time would be deadly.
In the case of an Hydra's temporarily increased heads the limit was based entirely upon how much food it would have devoured and how much Energy they have stored within them and she imagined that the same would be true for the Mutant before them.
Sider jumped back on her boat under the empty, vicious gaze of the now 17 tentacles focusing on her stone-like body before moving suddently, dodging the tentacles that tried to impale and crush her and she responded by slashing those that came nearest to her with her lightning-covered axe and claws, her brightly glowing eyes constantly searching for any incoming attack.
The natural regeneration she gained by being in her Humanoid Wolf Form in the meantime was busy slowly repairing the damage inflicted on her by the Horror, well aware that she could only turn off her Technique if she was unharmed but if she rans out of Qi while she cannot turn back, the type of rock she was made out of would lose the "living" part of its description, leaving her behind as just a pretty statue, destiny not uncommon for Amazons.
She firmly held her axe, made with some small pieces of her ancestors' statues as was the tradition shared with the Amazons by the Cultivator, covering it in lightning before striking down on her boat with its knot once, twice and then finally thrice.
At every single one of her strike, a light chime emanated from deep within her ship, a pattern belonging to a specific command to her personal naval vessel that proceded to respond properly, ramming a still unharmed tentacles with as much speed as it could while in this situation.
She immediately jumped, lightning ammassing around her left hand before she threw the newly created lightning spear towards one of the tentacles, impaling it and then bursting in a wave of sparks in one of its eyes, to an insignificant amount of Damage all things considered however the real purpose of it was not the Damage but to build up the Status Alteration "Shocked" to open it up to following attacks and lowering its Lightning Resistance.
As she was falling, Sider spun her lightning-coated axe in midair before smashing its end on a precise spot of her boat once, the lightning absorbed in an instant by her ship before it was released in a shockwave once again following its command.
This time, however, the shockwave had not been unleashed to deal damage to the tentacles but was instead Channeled to inflict as much Status Alteration as possible upon the Mutant Horror of the Depths while lightning intensified further around the Werewolf, sparks of electricity constantly being emanated from her body while her Qi was being absorbed by her axe, it becoming slowly denser and larger.
She stepped forward but before she could attack, she was interrupted as the tentacles moving as one attacked her ship, grabbing it with force and then proceding to lift it higher despite its weight, causing the Werewolf to lose her balance and barely stopping herself from falling on her face, landing on her palms before narrowing her eyes in focus, standing up before throwing it hoverboard, its blades encased in her Thunder Gems.
She then created another lightning spear and threw it towards one of the seventeen tentacles, this time however remaining phisically impaled on it long enough for Sider to recall her axe, axe that upon contact with the spear detonated in a massive burst of electricity that fried the tentacle completely, the boat shaking slightly at the suddent lack of one of its supports but the other sixteen were more than capable of handling the increased weight.
The Werewolf jumped, spinning in the air, grabbing her axe and using their combined weight, she kicked down on one of the tentacles, causing a shockwave with pure physical power alone, forcing it to slightly weaken its hold on her boat and leading her to to see the emerging body of the Horror, a vast circular maw that opened to a cave of fangs, eyes and smaller tentacles, with several flesh spheres of various different sizes held within it, impaling her axe into one of them to keep herself mid-air.
Lightning ammassed around the Amazon's body before it condensed around her left hand, forming a spear that she threw towards the Horror's mouth, the Target not being the Monster itself but another thing entirely.
The preys of an Horror of the Depths are not killed, at least not immediately.
Instead they were captured deep within the Horror's own body and tormented until they die of Hunger with the Horror feeding off them with their Innate Skill "Energy Siphon" while they have an immense amount of Energy Storage, enough to fuel "Hydra's Regeneration" even if such an Innate Skill would force it to hunt much more than before.
As an interesting fact, the fact that the Horrors have naturally the Innate Skill"Energy Siphon" is part of the reason behind the hatred of Lust Demons in costal cities and by professional sailors as a commonly-held theory behind this Monster Species' Existence was the work of one of them while, in truth, they were innocent of such as the "Horror of the Depths"' creation was the work of a certain Goddess, Goddess whose Chosen were safe from meetings with those Monsters at all, even if no Being currently alive remembers that their creation was work of said Divine Beings.
Sider's attack was not Targetted at the Horror itself but at one of its suffering prey, one of the tortured Being feeding it with their Energies and pain both, with the intent of killing the poor Being as a form of mercy and depriving the Monster of some fuel for its Skills, after all the less fuel it had the less temporary Limbs it could create and maintain.
Some may wonder at the way she attacked without any hesitation at all but after all, despite all tentative to heal them, not a single one of an Horror of the Depths' victim ever recovered from the torture suffered by them, killing themselves soon after they were recovered, further intensifying the scorn towards both the Horrors themselves and Succubus, as planned by the Divine Being herself.
Returning to the fight currently in progress however, the lightning spear launched by Sider was struck, impaled in the Horror's mouth tentacles that moved in order to block the attack from reaching and killing the captive victim, especially considering the absolutely terrible state they would be left in.
The black-haired one scowled, leaving her axe stuck in the tentacle to create a spear made of lightning in each of her hand and throwing them towards the previously stuck spear.
One of said lightning construct impacted the stuck spear, detonating the two in a burst of electricity that incinerated the flesh of the mouth-tentacles and opening it up for the second thrown spear that impaled and killed the silver-eyed one's previous target, depriving the Horror of the Depths of some fuel for its additional limbs, well aware that she could only win if she was to starve it to death.
Mid-air Sider spun before kicking down, Qi flaring as she solidified the air beneath her, launching herself back towards the bottom of her ship, grabbing onto it firmly thanks to an handle on the bottom, what was in reality a trap recognized her and so remained inactive at her touch.
Vital Energy and Mana flowed down from her boat's storage to Sider herself, restoring her own spent Energies in full while she twisted herself using the handle as a lever to turn towards the slowly rising Horror, its head emerging from the waves fully, eyes opening all around its mouth as it concentrated on its latest prey, with an ever increasing glow.
The Werewolf breathed in deeply before howling at full force, lightning joining said shockwave with the aim of disorienting the Monster's Senses and conseguently it too, trying to open it up for more attacks, while careful to not Target the Horror's stored preys, at least for right now.
Her Qi's circulation slowed down gradually as she breathed in and out slowly, her eyes focused completely as sparks started to being emitted from all over her stony body, this last one finally finished to be repaired thanks to the Vital Energy she absorbed from her vessel.
A tentacle moved in, trying to squash her against the bottom of her ship causing her canine lips to snarl even more violently, her fangs shining with a metallic gleam as the electricity intensified.
She loosened her grip on her weapon, before closing her now free hand in a fist, punching the incoming tentacle.
A shockwave was emanated in an instant as the tentacle was crushed completely, as Sider activated her Unique Skill to increase massively the Potency of the attack.
