"For now we are done with the Runic Array." Luna commented, finished finalizing the changes in the Keystone, stretching herself back lightly before standing up, a last cookie being eaten by her before she moved towards a new addition to their base.
"How did you survive on sweets while keeping yourself in form?" Sabel wondered only to recieve an absurd answer.
"I figured it out what I needed to do when I was five. I hate eating but at the time I still needed it to survive so I worked out what every single one of my cells needed and then I figured out how to turn Energy into them before learning how to Convert whatever I breathed, drunk and ate into Energy and then to Convert it into whatever I needed in my body." The Vampiric one explained calmly the process throught which she lived twenty years with never needing to eat; yes, twenty as even while she was a mostly-mindless Ghoul, she still maintained this process going on automatically.
"Now that we are done with this, let's get to training. We need to prepare for our ambush after all." The pale, red-eyed one smiled, her Aura flaring even more intensely then before, a roaring challenge towards the three of them.
Her Mates followed soon after, reaching the room she added, their training Arena, a vast black room that upon the closing of the door became encompased by a small, transparent Barrier with the purpose of isolating the inside from the outside.
Luna's Aura was Unleashed in full, trying to drown her three Mates under its weight, her Pressure pressuring the molecules around her in an instant while her Unique Arma, "Sorcerous Armor of the Singularity", Manifested around her limbs.
Amber's Aura exploded in response, the air around her violently bursting into flames, as she manifested her Unique Arma, "Blazing Blade of the Piercer", her weapon clad in a dense, bright layer of flames.
Mafel's own Aura surrounded her body as she manifested her Arma, the "Malevolent Scepter of the Generator", and it was then surrounded by a twister made out of Curse- and Holy-Attributes as five masses of Miasma formed around her, her Shades forming copies of her own body before the butt of her staff rang against the ground, Casting a Holy-Attribute Spell on herself before it was reflected on her Shades by her Unique Arma.
Sabel saw that the five Shades were quickly enveloped in golden, Holy-Attribute Mana before it concentrated into copies of Mafel's own mantle around her Shades naked bodies before each one of them closed their hands around copies of the Elf's own staff.
Soon after, she materialized her own Unique Arma, "Bracelet of the Rebel" around her wrists, her Aura flaring around her before it and Light mixed, concentrating around her sword, even if she was the least dangerous, or more specifically the most normal, of the four of them.
Luna smiled, her Aura condensing immediately around her to maximize its effects for the following battle, battle that she then proceded to start immediately, pointing at her Mates with her index finger as Vital Mana concentrated in as small a point as possible thanks to her Aura, in a manner similar to an [Annihilation Point], before she flicked it, a concentrated beam of destruction being released towards her Mates.
Amber was the first to react, holding her sword firmly, a wave of fire briefly inondating the place before it concentrated around her blade as she swung it, the arc severing the beam in twine long enough for the [Annihilation Beam] to end, the source of the Lunarian's attack causing an explosion that extinguished the last embers of the attack.
Curse-Attribute rose from around Mafel and her Shades before those waves fused together in a storm and then a great cloud of Mana that then fell upon both Amber and Luna in the form of rain, turning the fight into a three-sided affair like the Lunarian intended it to be from the start.
Both Luna and Amber found Curse-Attribute Mana invading their bodies, the second finding herself gradually growing weaker while the first smiled, after all her Nullification would negate it, at least for a little while.
Sabel concentrated, Light blazing around her sword as she carefully watched the fight between her two Mates, Energy, heat and flames exploding from every single one of their clashes.
Amber was the more powerful of the four without any doubt even to the Human's judgement but the vampiric one's combination of superior skill, repeated use of Arts at minimum power and the currently weakened status of the Phoenix was enough for her to keep pace with the higher Ranked one, at least for a while.
Sabel closed her eyes, an Holy-Attribute Spell Casted on her by Mafel to help her concentrate, Light slowly starting to emanate from her body, taking full advantage of her Mates' distraction to prepare in full thanks to the Elf's support.
Amber's golden and purple flame- and Aura-clad blade met Luna's Aura-clad Armor around her limbs repeatedly, shockwaves being generated by the meeting between the two of them.
The blonde's Blade was thrusted towards the white-haired one's face, causing this last one to dodge by moving down before she punched towards the orange-eyed one's torso, herself being dodged because of an explosion that sent Amber flying high.
Fire accumulated around Amber's right hand, the one currently free of her Unique Arma, before she used her own Aura to condense the flame and released them as a beam down on to Luna.
As this last one moved to the side to dodge the golden ray, it impacted the ground detonating in an explosion that forced the white-haired one to move back to dodge the wave of fire.
Amber's great golden wings opened wide, beating a couple of times to both stabilize her mid-flight and to release flames raining down upon Luna.
In response Luna inhaled, closing her mouth, before exhaling violently, a wave of force and sound being released from her mouth together with Vital Mana and Aura, washing over the flames and putting them out in an instant, forcing Amber to close her wings before her, deflecting the blow with an explosion.
She fell in a dive soon after, trying to impale her Mate upon her sword while sending forth a sphere of flames, sphere that exploded prematurely, trying to blind or at least limit her Mate's vision from her attack, a second blade, this time made completely out off flames in her right hand that she stretched to cut off Luna's escape way.
Amber bursted through the cloud of flames, her blade's being held differently than before as she swung horizontally, said Unique Arma being stopped by Luna's own Unique Arma-, Black Blood-, Vital Mana- and Aura-clad forearm, their Aura neutralizing each other, Amber's flames being held off by Luna's Black Blood coating while her Vital Mana was staving off as much as she could Amber's "Energy Siphon".
Amber smiled before she exploded into flames, pressing down on her Mate and using her higher strenght and her flight to forcefully send Luna flying away from her before launching a spear made of physical fire after her.
Luna answered her smile with her own, spinning in mid-air before landing on the ground for an instant, shifting her kinetic energy enough to change her direction diagonally, dodging the spear, while at the same time creating an orb of Energy in her left hand.
She held it firmly while landing before thrusting her right hand forward, the sphere being pressured in an opaque circle fifty centimeters wide before it fired in a cylindrical shape.
The blonde rose her own sword to deal with it like the first [Annihilation Beam] only to widen her eyes in alarm at the contact between them.
Her Aura and "Energy Siphon" did not influence the attack like the previous one, she noted confused, before the force of the blow reached her and force her to step back again and again before she, holding her Unique Arma with both hands, detonated in fire and Aura, channeling the force of the explosion to deflect the surprisingly solid attack, it exploding in the distance.
"How did you do this?" She wondered, curious as she was well aware that the attack contained almost no Vital Mana despite its strenght, before swinging up to meet the black-clad left punch of the Lunarian.
Before Luna's hand and Amber's curved sword could meet, the white-haired one's fist opened before clenching around the orange and purple-eyed one's weapon, adding the entirety of the force of her fall to her own to stop the clash between the two.
"Very simple, really." Luna's face opened in a small, smug smile as she used the hand around the blade as a lever to twist herself in a kick towards her opponent's face. "My attack was not a Spell or an Art. It instead was the launch of a Crafted Item made out of my own blood, Aura, Vital Mana, Runes and hightly compressed air." She explained, her kick being dodged at the last moment by the Phoenix.
The blonde's wings opened wide, flames erupting from her back in an instant as she moved with immense speed behind Luna before striking down upon her with her right fist clad in super-heating Aura.
Luna moved to the side, tanking the blow with her shoulder instead of her back, before she twisted with the blow to strike back at her Mate, Aura and Vital Mana condensing around her fist before causing a wave of force that sent both of them flying back.
The white haired one continued her turn in mid-air, launching a couple of Vital Mana Spears back to slow down the Phoenix's approach, concentrating her Vital Energy and Black Blood into a single point deep within her heart, concentrating ever more of that mixture deep within her own body while landing firmly.
Heat filled the Lunarian body as her blood boiled because of the massive amount of Energy she was forcefully Channeling it in such a minuscule amount of Matter but fortunately her own Black Blood was able to handle it without instantly exploding thanks to the support of her other Authority to keep the Vital Mana fluid yet stable.
All the same, the quickly rising power contained in her body reached a point of no return, her heart-equivalent bursting in a wave of power that would have been fatal to Luna if she didn't use her Aura to direct the power within her own body safely and she didn't use her Soul's nature as a Singularity to trap the power within her own body before Channeling it to strenghten herself.
The result spoke for itself after all.
*Luna Gained the Growth Skill "Core Implosion" E.
Luna's eyes opened wide, her piercing, glowing red-eyes seeking Amber in an instant before she moved, crossing the space between them as the Phoenix was barely able to cross her arms before her to block the sudden attack, an attack that the previous Lunarian would have been unable to launch.
And upon meeting her eyes, shining bright, the blonde understood enough.
The process the white-haired one just completed led to a temporary increase in every single one of her Skills' Rank, gaining much higher physical and magical abilities and even in her temporarily obtaining True Sight, all this at the cost of half her Essence and Vital Mana and something more.
Amber's wings opened wide to stop her mid-air as she created a wall of flames before her to block the massive, silent distortion launched by Luna long enough for her to launch herself away from its trajectory with an explosion, the rain of Curse-Attribute on her ceasing to affect her entirely while warm Holy-Attribute Mana started to help her out.
Fire accumulated around her sword before she launched her own attack.
"[Flashfire Severer]!" She screamed the name of her newest Art, made by her thanks to the combination of her Vital Energy, Aura, "Pyrokinesis", "Fire-Attribute Sorcery" and "Energy Siphon".
A bright line of flames split the air in an instant, heat spiking violently as the zone immediately before her was inondated in flames.
Before Amber could even find her Mate, thing quite hard all things considered as her previous attack blinded her own "Heat Sight" because of all of the heat, her shoulder was grabbed by an hand behind her before she, eyes widened in alarm, was punched in between her wings.
Mid-flight Amber saw how she was punched from a mass of Black Blood that just now returned to being her Mate, Aura taking the shape of a monstrous beast around her that she could not describe, her gaze focused somehow on both everything and nothing at once.
Aura and flames exploded from Amber's body with even more intensity, her own challenge attracting the distracted yet still paying full attention, Luna, red, pupilless eyes smiled in the darkness of their training room.
