Angelo. Fucking Angelo.
Overdosing me again, that idiot.
Everything is so dark.
Am I dead?
Feels like it.
But I couldn't be. There's no destruction, chaos, of rings of fire anywhere.
Satan has yet to make his appearance to greet me. How rude of him to be late.
Everything around me is so soft... I feel like I'm floating on a cloud....
It's so warm... so comfortable.
Am I in heaven?
I must have made a wrong turn to hell and ended up in heaven by accident.
If I knew death was this pleasant, I would have offed myself a long time ago.
Either way, I'm not complaining.
I can't wait to haunt the fuck out of Angelo for killing me.
"Princess... it's time to wake up now."
Is that... Angelo's voice?
"Come on Princess... wake up."
I was wrong. So wrong. This isn't heaven. This is my own personal hell. Forever floating away into nothingness with Angelo's annoying voice haunting me for eternity. How creative of you Satan, you sly bastard.
"Shhh! Leave her alone."
Well, at least Giana's voice is here, this isn't too unbearable.
"This is preposterous."
Wait, scratch that. That was Dante's voice. This is a much worse fate than I ever could have imagined. This is horrific. Fuck you Satan.
My body jolted up, instantly reacting to the ice-cold water that stung my skin. My blurry vision took a few moments to adjust to the bright light that blinded my vision.
As the dots in my vision cleared, I found myself in a massive, well-lit bedroom. The walls were light grey with large white baseboards. In the corner was a large white desk with a Mac laptop laying on top of it. In the other corner was two elegant white accent chairs surrounding a glass coffee table. The walls were lined with shelves holding at least a hundred books and some small decor. Windows lined the room, displaying a lush courtyard below. The moon was glowing brightly, and stars were glass in the night sky.
Fuck. Now my Circadian Rhythm is virtually non-existent at this point.
I looked down and realized that I was laying in a white, king-sized bed. A king-sized bed that was now soaked with freezing water. I was changed into a white shirt and shorts, which were now soaking wet and see-through displaying my tan bra underneath. Giana probably changed me. Knowing her, she would probably beat either of the boys if they tried to undress me while I was unconscious.
Giana and Angelo were sitting on the black decorative bench towards the bed while Dante was standing to my right with an empty bucket and a smirk on his face. I shot him a deadly scowl.
Looks like Satan came to greet me in his human form.
Everyone was dressed casually. Giana wearing a loose-fitting shirt and blue jeans while Angelo was wearing a red hoodie and khaki-colored skinny jeans. Dante was wearing a fitted black t-shirt and black skinny jeans. None of them were wearing shoes.
"She's ALIVEEEE!" Angelo screamed as he stood up and shook both of his fists in the air dramatically as if I was a science experiment coming back from the dead. Dante shot him his signature "I'm going to fucking kill you" glare.
I grabbed a pillow and threw it at his face, hitting my target and effectively silencing the child.
"Was the water really necessary?" I asked as I hugged myself and shivered. Dante shrugged, with a slight smile on his face.
"You were unconscious for 15 hours. We thought you died. Too bad you didn't." He said as he put the bucket down and shrugged.
"Dante! Your mother would be appalled hearing you talk to a woman like that!" Giana snapped.
"Auntie, I was talking to a child, not a woman." He said as he shot me a look with his eyebrow raised. Glad he's obtaining amusement at my expense.
"Please, continue talking about me as if I'm not here. It's my absolute favorite." I said rolling my eyes in annoyance.
"Honey, how are you feeling?" Giana asked with sympathy.
"Nauseous, dizzy, the usual." I shrugged.
"I broke scouts honor. I'm sorry Rebel." Angelo said as he looked down at his white socks and put his hands into the pockets of his jeans. His head snapped up as if he just thought of an idea.
"But it won't happen again! Pinky promise!" He said, leaning forward and extending out his pinky with a determined look on his face, his lower lip slightly pouting.
I smacked his hand and attempted to stand up. I underestimated the height of the bed and missed my step. I closed my eyes, anticipating the hard impact of the wooden floors, but it never happened. Instead, I felt a pair of muscular arms warp around my waist. One hand on my lower back, the other supporting my neck and shoulders. Out of instinct, my arms reached out and grabbed onto a pair of toned biceps to steady myself. My eyes fluttered open to see a pair of mesmerizing grey eyes gazing at me. His minty breath and masculine cologne flooded my senses, making a shiver run down my spine. I bit my lip nervously and watched as his gaze moved from my eyes to my lips, then back again to my eyes. Our chests were touching, his face only a few inches from mine. Dante seemed to be deep in thought, his eyebrows furrowing slightly. His breathing was light, as if he was holding his breath.
"The sexual tension is suffocating, isn't it Auntie!" Angelo said as he elbowed his aunt softly in the ribs. Dante and I both looked over to Angelo with deadly stares, his arms still holding me tight against his muscular body. Giana rolled her eyes and smacked Angelo in the back of the head out of habit.
Dante and I both turned again to face each other, then looked down at our position. Our gazes met, and his thought-filled expression was replaced with his signature scowl. His eyes wide in anger... or maybe shock? He instantly let go of my body as if I was burning his skin, and I fell flat on my back onto the wooden floor. I groaned as I sat up, rubbing my aching back with both hands.
"You're welcome for cushioning the blow." He said coldly as he stepped over my groaning figure and leaned against the wall, crossing his arms.
"Always such a gentleman." I groaned as I stood up and cracked my neck.
"OI! ENOUGH! You," Giana said pointing at Angelo, "If you overdose her, or even drug her again for that matter. I will beat you until you're unrecognizable. And you," She said point at an annoyed looking Dante. "If you don't stop acting like such an asshole, I will castrate you without any anesthesia!" She yelled. Dante's eyes slightly widened at her words, forcing me to hold back my laughter.
"Rebel, I'm so sorry for these dumbasses. We'll leave you to get ready. You might be a bit jet-lagged, Venice is 9 hours ahead of the States. It's 7:00 PM right now, dinner will be served downstairs at 8. There's some clothes for you in the walk-in closet."She said sweetly as she stood up.
"You two, come with me." She snapped as she pinched Angelo's ear, causing him to moan in pain. She walked up to Dante, and stood on her toes so she could also grab his ear with her other hand.
"Gigi what the fuc-" Dante started to say as a pained expression filled his face. His body bent down as she pulled his ear to a comfortable level for her tiny frame.
"Hush." Giana scolded before turning to me, still holding onto their ears. "If you need anything at all dear, just let me know." She said sweetly before she and the two groaning gangsters left the room, closing my door with her foot in the process.
I walked into the attached bathroom and gasped. It was magnificent. The white marble floors were pristine and elegant, matching the shower. It had a waterfall shower head with shower-heads built into every corner. The white square bathtub next to it looked more like a Jacuzzi, high-end jets practically lining every inch.
The walk-in closet attached to the bathroom was enormous. The crystal chandelier hanging from above sparkled against the soft glow of the moon. Rows of expensive shoes were neatly organized within the grey shelving. Elegant clothing was already hung, filling up the racks with pants, shirts, jackets, dresses, skirts, and just about anything you can think of. Half of the closet was filled with colorful clothing, while the other side was filled with black and grey clothes.
My fingers grazed the silky fabrics as I walked further into the closet. I opened the drawers to see that they too were filled with lavish jewelry.
I was examining a diamond necklace when I heard the door to my room open, and slam shut. I gently placed it down, and curiously walked back into the bedroom.
I saw Dante standing by the door, his muscular arms crossed. I rolled my eyes. His long strides closed the distance between us in a second. He grabbed my shoulders and roughly pushed me against the wall. His nose was practically touching mine as his sturdy arms rested against the wall, trapping me against his body.
"Didn't your parents ever teach you to have some manners?" He growled in a deep voice. His accent dripping off of every word.
"Obviously your parents neglected to teach you about personal space." I snapped back, raising my eyebrow. I tried to push him off, but his tattooed hand quickly grabbed my face and forced me to look at him again.
"You have no idea what I'm capable of, ragazza. I will not tolerate being disrespected by some pompous little vixen." He said in a slow and deadly tone.
"Quite hypocritical isn't it? You demand respect yet insult me in the same sentence?" I said, laughing in his face. His eyebrows furrowed and his lips twisted into a grimace expression.
"You don't want to see the punishment that disrespect will get you, little girl. So I'd suggest you stop it with your brazen attitude." He said in a deadly tone.
"Now, if your attempts to intimidate me are over, I have a dinner I must get ready for." I said nodding towards the door.
He steps back, creating some distance between us, and looks at me.
"Yes, it is quite nippy in here, isn't it?" He said smirking as his gaze fell down to my chest.
I looked down to see that my soaking white shirt is completely see-through, displaying my erect nipples. I quickly crossed my arms over my chest as I felt a blush make its way to my cheeks.
He starts to walk away, as he reaches for the door handle he stops. He turns over his shoulder with a sinister grin.
"Oh, and don't worry about attending dinner. Your presence is unwanted there. I'll be sure to send your meal up to your room, that is, if I remember." He shrugged before exiting the room. I hear the door lock from the outside before his footsteps fade off into the distance.
Stupid, arrogant, annoying, disrespectful, motherfucker.
I walked over to the bathroom and threw my soaking shirt in the hamper. I opened the top drawer to see hairbrushes, ponytails, and... Bobby pins. Out of curiosity, I walked back into the bedroom and examined the drawer of the desk until I found a paperclip.
Just like old times..
