Theo returned to the campsite everyone waiting for him, everything was quiet as he sat down without a word only one of his books in hand. Strands from his brown hair hung down his face in shame.
"Someone stole them," He finally muttered, "Every single one of them,"
The other workers looked amongst themselves, a look of disappointment and regret etched on all of their faces, releasing how selfish they had been and how desperate he wanted this.
"You all can go home, I'll stay behind, tell the editor what happened," He couldn't even raise his head too face them, and neither could they, walking out and leaving the campsite taking some of the food with them for the long journey back home.
Theo threw the book in his hand from pure rage grabbing at his face in anger his hair hanging over his hands.
"Why, why me?"

Fraus looked off into the distance, standing on the balcony facing the falling moon, his normally windswept hair seemed to be more than undone, his strands flowing loosely in the calming breeze of the cold night sky.
He breathes in slowly taking it all in, thinking back to when he almost killed himself, the feeling of not having anything new, the way of life boring and predictable after living as long as he, but then she came, he was captured by her beauty to the point where he couldn't even get her off her mind.
The moon, the thing that used to be the most beautiful the most elegant, pales in comparison to her, the moon only reminding him of her hazy white eyes, her soft lips and her slender face, just thinking about it... He looks up to the sky a face of irritation formed.
"I already told you father, I'm not interested in a spouse!" He snapped turning back to see a woman instead of his father, her sharp crimson gaze peering at him in the darkness, her black dress reaching down to her crimson heels that tapped in the darkness, each step getting closer and closer.
Her crimson lips and perfect fangs, her lashes long and delicate, black hair cascading from her head and down her hour glass figure. Her eyes were captivating dangerous yet hypnotizing he could look away even if he tried.
"Hello darling," She muttered once she was revealed into the light, her arms stretched wide hugging him.
"Who are you," Fraus managed to mutter, his hands shaking as the hung in the air not knowing what to do with them.
"I'm you new wife, darling, Sorcha Everparched," She whispered in his ear, her soft breath sending shiver down his spine as it tickled his earlobe.
"Everparched? But you're eyes, their the eyes of the Va-" His voice was cut off by a kiss, his thoughts slowly faded, his hands finally resting on the hips of Sorcha, soft moans echoing in the room before she pulled away, her gaze sharper than ever before.
"Don't worry about that darling, just let go, be mine," Her voice was soft yet demanding, sweet yet straight forward, Fraus shook his head stepping away from the woman his hands stretched outwards as to make some distance.
"My heart belongs to another I can't give into your temptations," He muttered almost as though he didn't want her to hear his claims, a bit of hesitancy in his words, his voice crumbling over the poor wall he has built to stop her advances.
"You mean that human? Yes your father told me all about it," she raised her hand to her face, her long crimson nails brushing against her soft and plump crimson lips, pearly white fangs lightly nibbling on her crimson claws, her gaze staring right into his. "Though, their life spans are way shorter than us, and they age way faster too."
"Would you rather be with a disposable bag that wears out over time?" She got closer to him, until they were inches apart, her thigh raised brushing against his side urging him to grab onto it as their lips were so close to touching, their breathes tickling each other. "Or a fine wine that gets better with age?"
Her voice was husky and soft, red flags were raised but none were seen as she gently caresses his chest, her draping dress flowing down her now elevated thigh, pale and cold yet oddly inviting, she stared into his eyes waiting for a response, his teeth gritting lightly the feeling of giving into her temptation and accept her offer.
"I- can't, I just can't," He muttered, his voice still hardly above a hushed whisper,
"You say that," She muttered a small smile playing at her lips, "yet you're not pushing me away, you want this just as much as me,"
Her hand caresses his face, her soft thumb moving brushing against his lips before capturing it into another long kiss neither of them could contain their selves any longer as they made out under the dark night sky no one to witness but that stars and the moon.
Their hands explored their bodies getting familiar with their foreign connection, their embrace cold but it couldn't be any more addicting, Sorcha wrapped her hand around Fraus's neck, rubbing the back of his head as she pushed his face deeper into hers soon to only pull back, making him long for more.
"Well," She cooed her finger running up his neck, until it reached his chin pushing his head up slightly as she walked away, stopping at the door that led to the inside, a small smile playing at her lips, "Do you want to continue? Do you want me?"
Fraus hesitated for a bit his heart panging in his chest as he made up his mind, slowly following her.
"That's a good boy," She grabbed him by the tuxedo pulling him inside, his heart races even faster almost as if it wanted to rip out of his chest, he knew this was wrong and that's why it felt so right, his heart yearning for another yet his body yearns for what's about to come, closing the door behind them, their night long and passionate the moon swapping places with the sun, the stars soon being outshined by its bright light.
