Regulus walked around the castle court yard, looking up at the beautiful moon as it rose ever so slowly into the night sky, a warm smile spreading onto his face as he saw it.
"What a beautiful night sky," He would always comment, as he stared, the moon hitting his silver buttons as he bask in it's light, the stars accompanying it, desperately trying to outshine the moon yet they only enhance it's beauty.
It would always fill his heart with pride knowing that the castle was at piece once more, the wind tickling his ear as they whisp through the sky.
"I would much rather eat garlic!" He heard me shouting from the balcony, looking up to see what was the matter.
He couldn't make out who was behind me but he saw me staring off into the forest, my eyebrows furrowing in concern for my own safety, he opened his mouth to speak to me, to call me out from below, though his actions were interrupted by a loud noise in the forest.
Curiosity flooding my mind I took after the noise, leaving Regulus with more questions, and surprise that a woman of my status, a princess of the Vagabond name would go into such a dangerous place despite their loved one's plea.
With a sigh he followed me closely, making sure to keep away from my line of sight though it was impossible to move quietly with the sound of crunching every time his cold unforgiving boots would crush the dry leaves.
"What is she doing," Regulus muttered to himself as he saw me look around the forest, soon stumbling across the pile of books I was so in love with before.
Slowly I picked up a book, it's contents brushing against my thumb as I inspected it's hard covers. My crimson gaze watching it intently before coming to a decision.
"I can't take them all with me," He heard me mutter to myself as I kneel over the lost literature, taking them all in my hand to hide them somewhere else, soon to leave the forest with only one.
Regulus walked up to the hidden spot, looking through all the books himself, his eyes widening when he saw it.
"1000 years and 1000 more; the war of the dark ages," He muttered, his thumb too grazing it's hard covers, a mixture of bronze and crimson, like blood splatter against steel, a look of war. "This couldn't be," He hesitated to finish his sentence at the possibility it might.
His eyes flicked through the pages before closing it and keeping it close to his side.

"Nina!" Regulus called out, bursting into the room of anther, her flowing black hair and her white hazy eyes were one of enchanting beauty pulling the souls of all who looks at her into her grasp, her smile was enchanting and her crimson painted lips plump and soft perfectly fitting on her lightly tanned face.
"Yes Regulus?" She asked, her voice delicate and innocent as she sat in her chair enjoying the fire on that beautiful night, her legs platted under her dark blue dress, white heels tapping the floor lightly though it wasn't from impatience, far from it.
"I need to ask you a favor," He was out of breath as he approached the mistress, a look of concern enveloping her face as she looked at the state of the man, bursting out into cold sweat, his blood pressure rising.
"What is it?" She asked, kneeling down to his side as he took the floor, holding himself up with a single knee. "Who did this to you?"
Regulus grabbed onto her hand, reassuring her he's fine before pushing her touch off of him lightly, his brown eyes staring into her gaze.
"I need you to watch the princess for me!" He declared, his eyes not leaving her for a second, his grip tightening lightly on her wrist hoping that the message gets sent across.
"Why what happened?" she questioned her concern growing even more at the mention of me, her hands shaking lightly.
"She's been going out to the forest lately, I need you to get her to stop somehow in secret, we can not let Lady Agnes know!"
Nina got even more confused by his claim,
"Why's that?" She inquired, "She's her mother she deserves to know what her daughter is doing!"
"That may be true but if she does find out, the princess might die!" Regulus shouted back, "The Queen is a cruel mistress she wouldn't hesitate to get rid of any chess piece that wasn't advancing, whether it was a pawn, or a king."
"S-she would really kill her own daughter?" Nina muttered, her eyes opened wide at this sudden truth, the feeling of dread started to sink in.
"Yes and If we don't find some passive way to stop this, well..." Regulus's voice trailed off, handing her the book he took from the forest, his eyes filled with worry and fear. "We might have another war, with the humans."

Months go by and Nina resided in the forest that I've been going to on a daily now, kneeling by the same spot i've always have to take a new book from the pile.
She watches me intently not knowing what else to do as she saw me leave. The sound of heavy boots stomping through the forest were heard, Nina's heart jumped out of her chest to see who it could possibly be, only to see figures with flashlights stepping through the forest.
Fear over took her, trying to see where I was, to see if I was safe but before she could, I was already gone, causing her to shuffle through the bushes to get out of there as well.
"Did you hear something?" One of the figures called out, pointing their flashlight in her direction she once stood, their eyes catching onto something extra.
"What's this?" one of them muttered picking up what seemed to be a narrow crimson cylinder.
The man had curly brown hair done into curtain bangs, glasses helping his emerald eyes examine the object in the palm of his hand.
"You ok?" One of them walked up to him, shining the light on his back.
The man shook his head, as he continued to move the object around in his hands, the light making it slightly shine in the darkness that otherwise surrounded it.
"It's nothing," He muttered, putting the crimson object into his pocket, his eyes scanning the thick woods for anything that may have dropped it nearby.
The forest is far from welcoming to outsiders, its demeanor changing for no one, the barks of their trees old and rotting, the wild life inside far from friendly.
"Well, there's nothing here so we should go," one of them suggested, heading back.
The man with emerald eyes stood there in the forest gazing into it a bit longer before returning, he couldn't help but get the feeling of something else, lingering in the shadows and watching their movements.
"I need to tell the council," Nina muttered, her voice shaky form the close call earlier,
