Ella ran over to Charlotte and teleported to their room. She pressed the vein in her wrist to check if there was any trace of dark magic in her body, but there was none.
Charlotte's hand was quite warm. She touched Charlotte's forehead and shrieked. She was burning. Ella took off her cloak swiftly and loosened her corset.
"Oh my God," Ella mumbled, almost close to tears, as guilt and fear washed over her.
"Charlotte, please wake up soon," she prayed to herself as she wiped her body with a wet towel.
She performed a ritual to put some of her energy into Ella because she didn't think that simple spells would work for her at this moment. She looked battered.
