Julian's father, Roger Ardino, was a successful businessman and his family was at the top. However Julian was just a child of the second wife, Miko, born from an affair with a maid. He was just a bastard child but he was still the son of one of the wealthiest man and his life was good. Although this mother and son is mostly neglected by the first wife and her children. Julian was the youngest of the three sons so he had more freedom. They still live in a life of the rich but Julian and his mother were outcasts. Mostly because Miko was a maid originally.
It was Julian's dream to one day take his mother away from this family. He was a bright kid smart, tall and handsome. All the students would fall over him just for his looks and his father's money. It wasn't until the second year of highschool that he met Yui. Yui Gallian, was your typical pretty boy who came from a well respected family. Small, petite and a face that very much resembles a cute girl. To Julian, Yui was his love at first sight. He was also a tough competition. They were always the first and second place in school.
It was no suprise that they would eventually be together. And they did. They became what you call a perfect couple. Both rich and smart and not to mention handsome. Other students would say they looked adorable due to their height difference. Yui only came up to Julian's shoulders. However not all were peaceful, you see, Akerian, Julian's step brother always had a huge crush on Yui. So it was quite easy for an outsider to see all his jealousy towards the couple.
His jealousy got to point of threatening Yui to be with him. Of course he declined. There were many stuffs that Akerian did to break the couple but in the end it only ended up with Julian loving Yui more. It wasn't until Akerian finally decided to get involved their dad that got the couple to break up. Roger Ardino was your typical traditional old man. So the idea of homosexuality didn't sit well with him. Naturally when he learnt of his son's relationship he forced Julian to break up and get back to his senses. He treated as if Julian was sick.
It was obvious that Julian didn't do what his father said. Which led to Roger forcing Yui's parents to relocate somewhere else. This only fueled Julian's anger and a week before Christmas a huge fight broke out between him and Roger in the family manson . Miko was a helpless woman, what could she do, she was only a second wife with no power. So when Roger finally made the decision to kick Julian out of the family, she could only do nothing other than to beg for his son. However that didn't work as his son too gladly left the house telling her that he'll come back for her.
And so after that Julian hadn't seen Yui and he was wandering around here and there until he was beaten up by a group of thugs who stole everything he had and left him behind Kaia's small bakery shop.
Kaia doesn't know this whole story only he knew that Julian already has someone he loved and his (Kaia) love was only one sided.
