As Bellator was being taken away, the aftermath of the chaotic scene lingered in the air. The students, still shocked, gazed at the blood-stained arena. The main characters, Felix, Seraphina, Julius, and Lumenia, gathered together, each processing the events in their own way.
"What just happened?" Lumenia shouted, shocked.
"I don't know, but one thing is sure – we must stay as far away from him as possible," Seraphina said cautiously.
That day, a deep fear had been etched into the main characters' psyche as they vowed never to cross paths with Bellator, except for Felix, who had his own plans concerning him.
Whispers covered the quiet walls of Limitless Academy as news about Bellator travelled far and wide. Soon, the whole school knew of the incident, as the strength of the bastard child echoed around.
Lying in the infirmary, sweat dripped from Bellator's head as his consciousness found itself in an unknown place.
'Where am I?' he contemplated.
He stood in a large dark corridor, his way back closed off by a wall, and the only way to go was forward.
'What happened?' Bellator thought, confused.
His memories were blurry, though pieces slowly started coming back. The only vivid memory he had was killing Jack.he didn't know how he had wielded such strength but the thrill of trampling Jack was etched into him making him question his own morality
'I'm not as good of a person as I thought I was,' Bellator thought, questioning his own morality.
He had always blamed others whenever he done something wrong, in his previous world after killing an innocent man he blamed Carl the man who had killed his father for leading him astray, but now he had no one to blame, all the actions he had done were on him and now had to face the truth
Torches lined the walls as Bellator moved forward, the walls following him. Finally, after walking for an unknown amount of time, marble stairs showcased themselves ahead. After hours of climbing the seemingly endless stairs, Bellator reached the top, his body instantly collapsing.
"Took you long enough," a beautiful feminine voice said.
'Shit, I let my guard down.'
Jumping up, Bellator immediately got into a battle position, scouring his surroundings for any enemy. But all that stood in front of him were twelve massive pillars, each with glowing orbs of different colours.
"Who's there?" Bellator shouted, eyeing the glowing orbs.
"Quiet down, Noah. We don't have a lot of time to talk, so I'd rather get the pointless stuff out of the way," a booming male voice said, suffocating Bellator with pressure.
'Did he just... Bellator thought before being cut off.
"Yes, I just said your real name," Ares responded casually.
'Did he... ' as another thought came into Bellator's mind, Ares continued, increasing the pressure.
"Yes, I just read your mind. Enough with the dumb thoughts," Ares shouted, his anger palpable.
'But there weren't any gods mentioned in the novel,' Bellator thought, questioning how accurate the novel really was.
"Stop that, Ares, you're hurting him," Aphrodite exclaimed with her beautiful voice.
"Why should I? Just because we're both trapped here doesn't mean we're friends, Aphrodite," Ares exclaimed, clearly annoyed.
'Ares and Aphrodite, no way are they...'
"Gods," Aphrodite said, finishing Bellator's thought.
"Can you stop reading my mind?" Bellator said through bated breath, his fists clenched as he tried to handle the pressure.
"How will we be able to talk if you keep applying pressure to him?" Aphrodite exclaimed, pissed.
"Tch." Letting go of the pressure, Ares grunted, clearly pissed. Bellator's body looked like a fountain as sweat covered him.
"Was it you? Are you the ones who made me kill Jack?" Bellator asked, pushing the blame from his actions on them.
"We didn't do anything, and even you know that. I can hear your inner thoughts, how you're begging to blame someone else because you can't face the monster you are. Let me tell you something, that was all you from Jack to the teacher, all of it was you. Not only that, I could sense your excitement. You truly are just like Carl," Ares said in a condescending tone.
"ARES!" Aphrodite shouted, knowing he had gone too far.
Bellator stood lifeless, the truth in Ares' words undeniable, as one sentence kept repeating itself within his head.
'You truly are just like Carl.' Those words cut deep, causing Bellator to look.
'No, that's not true,' Bellator thought, trying to defend himself.
"It is, and you know it is. How does it feel to be exactly like the person who murdered your father? Don't you think Carl would be proud of you?" Ares mused.
"Enough!" Aphrodite shouted, the tension palpable as Bellator's mind stayed in disarray.
The memories of everything he had done came back to him, as Bellator kept denying the truth.
"He's just a kid," Aphrodite said, noticing Bellator's deteriorating state.
"Yes, he's a kid, but look at what he's done to the others," Ares roared angrily.
"Because he syphoned our strength, the others are in a hibernation state," Ares roared, pointing to the other glowing orbs.
"And this is not the first time he has syphoned our strength. Just like in Enchanta Grove, we had to save his life multiple times. If we didn't need him to be free from this necklace, I would have killed him myself," Ares hissed.
"This is exactly the reason I divorced you," Aphrodite shouted, pissed at Ares.
"Did you send me to this world?" Bellator asked in a calm, monotonous voice, his lifeless eyes bearing into the glowing orbs.
"Yes," Aphrodite answered.
"So, it is your fault. I had accepted my death. I had never asked to be sent here. How can you sit up there and judge me as if I wanted this? If YOU had just let me die peacefully, none of this would have ever happened," Bellator shouted, any semblance of sanity he had left as he raged on.
Bellator's figure started fading as his eyes grew heavy.
"I'm sorry; this is my fault," Aphrodite answered honestly.
"It seems we can no longer keep you in this realm. If you want to know the truth, reach the 50th floor of the tower," Aphrodite said as Bellator's body faded from their realm.
"Huh, don't you think you were being too harsh on him?" Aphrodite asked.
"You know why I did it. As long as he doesn't accept who he truly is, he will never be able to defeat 'him,'" Ares said calmly.
