Chapter 3 - Book 1: Chapter 2 The Road to Recovery

Somewhere in Sunchaser estate is a large mansion. A young lady was staring into a large window that was eight by fifteen inches. She could see a lake that was crystal clear, like polish jade. However, Judah wasn't looking at the lake or the beautiful scenery. She was looking in a far-away place that normal people could not see.

Hurry foot steps rush into the lavish room that had the grace and elegance of an empress. The room had a hint of purple, the trim was crimson like blood, and the floor had descending steps that opened up into a big circle that was the window where the young lady was standing.

"Milady, Sifir has returned to the Midnight clan!"

With a soft smile that can melt the coldest heart. "Good. Now we can start the first phase of the plan. They should have never let Sifir return to the Midnight or Night clan. Since then, he has returned. There is nothing those people can do to stop us."

Another set of foot steps came, rushing to meet the young lady.

.

"Milady, the former matriarch Kyri has called for you."

The young lady turns around from the glass. I stared at the new arrival that came into the room.

"Tell her I, Judah, will be there soon. I need to make a few preparations."

"Yes, Matriarch!!"

The mysterious voice said, "Do you still have all those herbs and plants I told you to gather when you were being hunted like a dog, Sifir?"

"Of course I still have them. And I am no dog!!!"

A mysterious voice said, "Good. Ask that patriarch of yours for the best herbalist to start your recovery with body tempering. Let me tell you now. Your hellish training begins now and won't end until you die. I am entering slumber now. I will wake up in about a year."

Sifir, sigh with helplessness. "There is nothing that can be done now. If I want to regain my old cultivation level, this is the only way. Let's start with body tempering to heal my broken body."

In a dark room where only a few candles were burning. This room was not big but also not small either. There is enough room for several people to gather. The group that was sent to track and kill Sifir was in this room, meeting a mysterious person.

Group leader speaking: "Elder, I am sorry for our failure. You can punish us with death!"

The Elder spoke: "Ghost leader of unit 01, there was always a possibility of this mission failing. What I want to know is, How hurt is Sifir?"

Ghost Leader replied gingerly, "How bad are Sifir's injuries? He had sustained a lot of damage from that mission, and we were not giving him a chance to rest. I would say that Sifir's core is heavily damaged."

The Elder spoke angrily: "Sifir, the core is heavily damaged but not destroyed."

Ghost Leader hurriedly said, "Yes, elder."

The Elder screamed at the ghost unit. "Trash! Absolutely trash! I should burn your soul on an open fire and let your screams seduce those demons that crave miserable souls."

Everyone in the group could not stop shaking when hearing the elder speak those words. Knowing that the Elder didn't mince words and that his actions spoke louder than words, The Elder looked at them with his eyes glowing dark crimson.

The elder spoke coldly. "Since I told you I wouldn't kill you, You should be happy that I spared your dog's life. Now, is there anything else you need to report to me?"

Ghost Leader's voice trembled with fear. "Yeah, elder. Few of the dragons have agreed to increase the pressure on the lockdown of ligers."

The elders seem pleased with that outcome. "Good. Now leave before I refine one of your members's souls to let off some steam."

The Ghost Unit 01 left in a hurry, and they didn't look back for fear that the Elder would change his mind.

"That temper of yours still hasn't changed much over the last several years, I see."

The elder looked into the shadow. I saw a shadowy figure coming out into the open. The elder had an ugly expression on his face. Even if they were working for the same person. It didn't mean they got along well. The elder didn't like this person's laid-back attitude.

The Elder "What do you want?"

Mysterious Person "Don't play with fire with the Nine Dragon Emperor, Empress Kagayura. That is the message I was told to send to you from Master."

The Elder "The dragons are pawns to be used by us. Since the master has said so, I will listen to his words. Is there anything else? The elder had a frosty look on his face that his hood could not cover up.

Mysterious people grin wildly. "Yes, I do. This message is from me. If you really want Sifir dead, You should go there yourself and do the deed yourself."

The elder's expression turns black and red from rage and shame. If the elder ever dares to rush into that tiger den of experts, He would be asking for a death wish.

The Elder "I see. Let me tell you something. If you ever fall out with the Lord, I will definitely make your soul scream for as long as it doesn't disappear."

Mysterious Person "That is the funniest thing I've heard all day. Be sure when the time comes you can back it up, Little Elder."

The mysterious person soon faded out of existence. The elder knew it was only an avatar projection. With a clench fist, the elder aura spikes and vanishes in the next moment. Only leaving the ruins of a small house in the wilderness.

"Patriarch Murda, Sifir said he is ready."

"Good. Send the best herbalist and formation master as well. Sometimes you should be careful what one wishes for."

"Also, Patriarch Murda, Sifir, has asked if the tempering bath can be prepared with these ingredients as well. Sifir also gave us how to prepare the body-tempering bath."

A slight frown creeps on Murda's face with disdain.

"Mhm… These ingredients and how to prepare the bath are quite good. I wonder how Sifir got his hand on this."

"Patriarch Sifir gave us a dimensional space bag. He told me that everything had been prepared for the tempering bath. In addition, the ingredients should last a year."

"Oh?" A surprised look flashed on Murda's face, for instance.

"You can go and prepare the room. Follow what it is called for, and if Sifir dies, then Sifir dies."

"Yes, Patriarch!!"

Murda fell into deep thoughts about how Sifir was able to gather those herbs and plants for tempering baths. One must know that many of these herbs and plants were natural treasures, like the nine-color dew jade, the ice-cold lotus, and the moonlight dew, among others.About 2 hours later, Mudra heard the scream come from afar and with a ruthless grin.

"Let's see how Sifir handles this roadblock."
